I have a very expensive sapphire and diamond ring with 30 years of wear and several broken prongs. It's never been in for service or even an appraisal because I know how rare the sapphire is and you just don't know who you can trust. Well, I'm here to reiterate the reviews here that these people are the real deal. Trustworthy, took the utmost care of my ring, and made it look better than it did 30 years ago. I highly recommend George and Danny at Carter's. They even did a clean up of my diamond anniversary ring and made it stunning, as well. Please support this family business. Not only will these 2 rings go back to them for written appraisals (finally), but I will bring more jewelry for service when I return next year. I can't thank you guys enough!!!

I just picked up my wedding & engagement rings from Carter. I am so pleased. One prong was broken & the others were showing wear. Now they look brand new & my rings are 56 years old! I've been taking all jewelry, watches, etc to them for 20 years, they are the best!

I love Carter's Jewelry. I have bought a couple of smaller items in there but they have some amazing pieces. I have had several pieces repaired there. Recently, I took my rings in for a "tune-up".There were several prongs which were loose and I was so afraid of losing a stone. They sparkle like they did when we first married 41 years ago!! Best of all, they are locals and are very invested in the community. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Carter's for these service, atmosphere, and quality.

I visit St Augustine several times each year. This year I needed some watches serviced and decided to do it while I was there on vacation. George the owner and his colleague Aaron treated me like royalty. They fixed my watches while I was there waiting having a nice conversation and I can honestly say being from Atlanta I miss being able to get something handled promptly and efficiently. It was such a great experience to receive a service that was flawless. I'm literally surprised when everything goes right nowadays. But everything went just like clockwork and I will be bringing my jewelry to Carter's from now on and I will just wait until I get in town to get it taken care of it's that good. If you're in the area this is your go-to shop.

I had an excellent experience here. I brought in my mother’s diamond ring that I had inherited for resizing, and not only did they resize it, but they rebuilt the setting since it was so worn down, and the workmanship is outstanding. The ring is absolutely gorgeous now, and I’m so happy with everything they did. I also have a ring from Carters that my husband bought for me, and it is lovely. All of which is to say - a store with beautiful jewelry, and great customer service! I recommend them to everyone!

If you are looking for an amazing, personal shopping experience, you need to check out this “gem” of a store! Mr. Danny Carter and his staff are so knowledgeable and kind. I had my vintage watch completely refurbished and it came back so much better than I could’ve ever dreamed! Most recently they designed and created my wedding band from stones that belonged to my grandmother. The ring is beautiful and the experience was wonderful! 10/10 recommend!

Danny, the owner spent a good amount of time trying to locate a diamond to replace the stone that fell out of my engagement ring. He took time to meet with us to discuss what we were looking for and he found an even better quality diamond and replaced it in the original setting with sturdier prongs. He polished the band and the ring looks brand new, even though I've had it for 21 years. They did a beautiful job and are good, trustworthy people. I'm so happy to have this beautiful ring back! This experience was absolutely magical !
I recently visited Carter's with the intention of having two rings sized and wanting to talk to someone regarding having stones from my wedding rings made into a "remembrance ring". George helped me with sizing the two rings and told me Danny, the owner, was the one to talk to about designing a ring. All the rings were given to me by my husband of more than 50 years who passed away in 2020. Danny listened to my story and came up with a beautiful solution. By setting the stones from my wedding band into my husband's band and sizing it to fit me he has played a part in creating a treasure that I will cherish and pass down to our two daughters.
There was one odd size diamond left from an engagement ring and upon Danny's suggestion, he added it to an opal ring (also from hubby) and, using the original setting, turned it into a pendant!

While staying in the area for the winter with my elderly mom, she was complaining about her wedding rings being loose around her finger. While in the parking lot I noticed Carter’s and inquired about repairing mom’s rings. Not only did they repair and resize hers, I was able to get a few of mine resized and they polished them beautifully! The owner and his staff were super friendly and knowledgable. I highly recommend them not only for repair but they have some gorgeous pieces of jewelry for sale too.

Stressful process made easy! Going through the stress, hassle, and emotions of deciding on and purchasing an engagement ring made easy. I was deployed over seas while I ordered the ring and and both the owners and the employee I interacted with (via emails and phone calls) were nothing but helpful. Their knowledge kept me on track with what was feasible and affordable. They also helped guide me in the right direction during the design process. They were very honest and helpful with pricing and will work with you to give you the best piece for the best price. They came highly recommended and I am glad I followed the advice. My fiance was absolutely amazed at the quality, size, and design. I have already told all of my buddies that these are the people to go to.

Brought my wedding ring in for repair and cleaning - it was SO easy, quick and painless. The process was completely stress free and my ring was ready in less than 24 hours! It looks perfect and I'm so excited to have my wedding band set looking amazing again. It literally looks brand new! Thanks Carters, we will certainly be back soon!

Such a nice experience meeting Danny, his wife and George. My diamond that my Mom gave me was just sitting in a box until my boyfriend Terry said “Don’t push back on what I’m about to ask you to do”. Ok, I said. Go get your diamond and we are going to take it to Carters Jewelry and have Danny (owner and a good friend of a friend) help us with a ring. 🥰 The ring is absolutely gorgeous and I’m so in love with everything about it!! The diamond is probably 70 to 75 years old (my Dad gave it to my Mom for engagement ring) I didn’t want to leave the diamond with a jeweler I didn’t trust. Carters Jewelry has been in business for 32 years!!! I felt perfectly safe leaving my diamond with them. Danny appraised the diamond for me and even said to me “Don’t leave this diamond with anybody you don’t trust, it’s a very rare diamond”
