I ordered my wedding dress from BHLDN and while I loved my dress it was not my dress until it was altered here. Carmella did an amazing job and was so very sweet. She helped take my dress in, added a belt for me and really made my dress my own. I loved my appointments with her because they were fun and it became such a great and relaxing (one of the only relaxing parts of wedding planning:) appointment.

She’s opened a shop on the main land, 2792 US 1 South St.Augustine, FL 32086. I went to a place in Daytona and the did not measure me correctly. Two weeks before my daughter’s wedding and the dress was too small, I couldn’t even zip it. The found a dress on the floor I could zip, but was way too tight and long. Carmela, the owner, saved me! I went by her shop with the dress Friday. She called me today and said to come in, she had it done. Today is Monday and at first it was going to be done Friday. She worked all weekend to give me two more inches and a perfect hem. I’m bringing my clothes in for alterations as I’ve lost 40lbs. She’s a life saver. I have used the alteration service several times for clothing as well a couple of home item projects that required figuring out how to accomplish what was wanted. On both counts it was all so well done in a timely, intelligent, friendly manner. I recommend. The pricing is what I would consider to be industry standard for this type of service.

We were in St. Augustine for my daughter's wedding. It was the day before the big event and the wedding dress had an issue that needed altered. We searched for someone who would fix the issue immediately. We called Veronica and she said bring it to her and she would see what she could do. We dropped off the dress the morning before the wedding and she had it altered by mid day! She literally saved the wedding! Thank you Veronica for your professional expertise and your kindness in helping out a panicked bride and mother of the bride.

I went to the location closer to Pope Road, but I believe these two spaces are both owned by the same person. Linda helped me with my wedding dress alterations and did a beautiful job. She even gave me her personal cell phone number so that she could text me updates. We did a few fittings to make sure it fit like a glove (and it did)! The dress turned out great and I could not have been happier with her attention to detail. The price was very reasonable, as well. I definitely plan to recommend this place to others for their alteration needs.

Excellent! Carmella did major alterations on my silk bridal gown in less than a week of my wedding. She did a great job! Was very professional and really listened to what I wanted. The cost ended up being half of what the seamstress at Nordstrom had charged for the same dress. Highly recommend!

Carmella did an amazing job on my wedding dress. The price was very fair and I received so many compliments on the dress. I will take every alteration to her in the future! In fact, I just took my dress back to her to have it hemmed short so that I can wear it for every anniversary. I highly recommend A1A alterations and Carmella!

I brought in a bridesmaids dress to have hemmed and beading added along the waist line and straps. It came out beautiful I received so many compliments the work was done quickly with quality. I also had a flower girl dress altered with a belt added both dresses fit like a glove. I would definitely come back for any future alterations work.

These people are really super nice and helpful. I had just finished my alterations 9 days before my wedding and needed to get wrinkles out of the several layers of tulle. I found them online and called in to see if they could work with that. It was cutting in close but we were able to get it done and back to me the day before. It was beautiful and as pesky of a material tulle is, we just had to refluff it and pull on a couple areas to get it looking sharp. Thank you for your help!

My wedding dress got ruined from a different alterations place in St. Augustine so I went to A1A Alterations and the service was amazing. She was beyond helpful, friendly and quick to get my new wedding dress that I ordered done in 1 week so I could be ready by Saturday for my wedding. She is also very quick with dry cleaning too.

Five stars - great prices, great work. Recently had six skirts tailored - all done within four days of dropping them off and each skirt was tailored to perfection. Highly recommend.

I can't say enough great things about this business and their exceptional staff. I used them to work on a new suit that I got. I was really worried because it was an expensive modern suit and I previously had bad experiences at other places. But the owner came and showed me great confidence and knowledge of her skills. Let me tell you, she delivered. Not only that! Because of my work I couldn't get in on time to pick it up before the weekend and she was kind enough to go out of her way and got it for me even though she was closed. WOW, WOW, WOW! This is going above and beyond, and I'm very thankful for this. She has a client for life now.

A1A alterations has literally saved my wedding and many other special occasions as well... for myself and my family. I had purchased a dress in Tampa from a "reputable" dress shop and alterations place. After they butchered my dress 2 weeks before my wedding.... A1A saved the day giving me the most perfectly fitting dress, and putting my mind at ease on my wedding day, k owing that my dress would be absolutely perfect. Did I mention they were affordable?!!!

Best experience I ever had with a tailor. She Customize some board shorts for physique competition in only 4 days. She made 3 alterations 2 in one day for me. I took 1st place in my competition. I owe her big 😁

Had my son’s and my Easter outfits dry cleaned pressed and starched and forgot they closed early on Saturday. Fortunately they were understanding and opened up so I could pick up the outfit’s. Thanks again for understanding and going the extra mile.
