My dentist retired and it appeared the people that took over his practice had one thing in mind paying off their Loans in a hurry. Dr Farrow was recommended by a friend as a down to earth no frills dentist and on the first visit I knew I had found what I was looking for. Dr. Farrow took care of my immediate needs by repairing a tooth I was told would have to go, that was 4 yrs ago. If you are looking for a dentist that is more interested in your dental health and well being this is the place.

Been going here for 10 years! I went here from the time I was in middle school with braces until being a graduate of my college! They are amazing!

I and my family have been patients here for 10 years. Always a great and friendly experience.

My family and I have been faithful patients of Horseshoe Bend Dentistry for 25 years. Despite their inability to modernize with the times, we've continued to support Dr. Augustine Bergé, because we value care over convenience.

Last Friday 4.22.22 when I arrived for my usual semi-annual cleaning, the office was closed. I emailed my appointment reminder to Dr. Bergé and left a voicemail to see what had happened.

This week I learned that, in an attempt to reschedule, a voice call had been made. Having received an email appointment confirmation, I was not at all on the lookout for a voicemail.

I rescheduled last Friday's appointment for today, 4.28.22 at noon. After running long teaching a class, I called and was told I could come at 2pm.

I arrived at the office at 1:58 and took a seat in the waiting room since there was no longer a pad to sign in on.

2:05: From where I'm sitting, I can hear two women discussing the correct pronunciation of my name and think to myself, "they will bring me back soon!"

2:15: I watch Dr. Bergé return to the practice in his vehicle.

2:20: I hear Dr. Bergé enter the conversation: "I've been dealing with this family for years. It's not my fault if you miss your canceled appointment notification."

A woman says, "She was supposed to be here at noon, but didn't show."

A second woman responds, "She did call, but said she'd be here at 2pm. If she calls again, maybe this time I can't find an appointment for her."

At that moment I appear before the check-on window. There are stunned red faces on the other side. I ask, "are you all talking about me? I heard you questioning the way to say my name, discussing my changed cleaning times, you mentioned servicing my family for several years, and I believe you just said that the next time I asked for an appointment, you'd refuse to serve me. Are you all talking about me?"

Everyone: (silently shaking heads "no" in unison)

I respond with, "is there another patient who missed an appointment, rescheduled twice for today, AND, you've been caring for their family for years?"

Everyone: (silently shaking heads "yes")

I then ask the main receptionist, Sharon, if she knew I was in the waiting room. She says no.

I leave the office visibly uncomfortable before calling back a few moments later from my car to say, "Sharon, worse than you all saying those terrible things about me 'behind my back' is you looking at my face, witnessing the pain you yourself inflicted, and then hearing you deny responsibility. I'm not surprised, but I am disappointed. Now aware of how you've really felt about us all these years, my family and I will no longer patronize your establishment.

Sharon's response: "Sorry."

Some people suffer and others get to say sorry.

To anyone considering visiting Horseshoe Bend Family Dentistry, I strongly encourage you to reconsider. In addition to antiquated dental technology, this place is lacking both compassion and humanity. Shame on you all!
