Happy Holiday RV Resort

Other reviewers expect 5 star service and accommodations, like a Sandals Resort, for less than the price of a budget=Motel 6 or EZ-8. However, this place is great. Good location, nice folks, open all year long and safe and affordable at a reasonable price. Glad I stayed here.

This is the best RV park we have ever stayed at. Amazing customer service, the sites are cozy, no noise or any rowdiness. Power never went out, we are going to miss it here and hope to come back! Something that they can’t help but might be useful to people coming: there is very little cell service here. 10/10

This was our first time staying at Happy Holiday RV Resort. We travel in a 34 foot class A RV. Brittany and Eric exemplify and model customer experience. Started with being asked what spot we wanted, Erick taking me to each site on a golf cart to make sure we liked the site and ended with him escorting us to the site to make sure I was comfortable driving into the site. Thanks for making our first experience at HH RV Resort a pleasant and good experience!

We got this by accident. We were looking for something closer to mt Rushmore/ Bear country USA.
Nice clean room with kitchenette.
Fair price compare to other big change hotels.

My wife and I are travel nurses and generally are in Rapid City for 3-4 months a year. We have stayed at Happy Holiday many times and are very pleased with the facilities and staff. Rates are very reasonable and the location is perfect for work and is central to all the sites and scenery of the Black Hills. Any concerns or requests have always been promptly addressed. The campground is always well maintained, the laundry is affordable, cable is included, and the sites are spacious. Fritz, the manager, is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. While this is an older campground (with established trees), you will not find one that will match Happy Holiday for affordability, location, and overall value. BTW, Happy Holiday is open year round. We highly recommend Happy Holiday!!

Wonderful place to stay. Plenty of trees, nicely kept spots and very quiet. Plenty of spot available. The spots are a little tight but they will get you situated in a spot that fits. The pool, playground and basketball courts are all clean and family friendly. The staff is super nice. The full hookups are priced great. We would come back again for sure and would recommend it to anyone else. Definitely a good choice to stay when coming to the black hills. Great location for all the activities around.

Great place to stay, clean cute adorable rooms with wood finishing and comfy beds! Everything you need to sleep stay and enjoy the surrounding areas. Also have pool and a great rv area with all the room you need! Little cabins too! Stop by and check I out! You won't be disappointed!

Stayed here for about a week in one of the cabins, and I absolutely loved it. The beds were comfortable, the cabins were clean, the bathrooms were virtually spotless, and spider free, the staff were a bunch of the nicest and friendliest people I have ever met. The showers were kept clean, with an endless amount of hot water. There was a laundromat on the grounds, and a well stocked camp store. The game room was a hit with my family. The grounds were close to Mount Rushmore, keystone, and about an hour away from Wall. I will definitely be returning to South Dakota, and in will definitely be staying here again.

Staff is super friendly, helpful and always smiling!! They saved our vacation! We were supposed to stay at the Covered Wagon Resort (place was a dump so we left)Having stayed once before at Happy Holiday we called them and she got us a cabin! Clean friendly, took our dog, otherwise if it were not for them we would be driving back to Colorado on no sleep!

We enjoyed the clean bathrooms with good showers. There was a nice area to hook up camper, free WiFi, water spicket, electricity, small fire pit. Close to pick items in Rapid City and close to Mt Rushmore. Polite and welcome team at front desk. Thank you!

This place is older but was always clean and accommodating owners. Has a lot of showers, toilets, washers, dryers, covered picnic tables at every site, close to Rapid City, Mt Rushmore and other attractions but at the same time in a quiet and treed area.

Nice park, they help guide you into your site. Built in the 1950's. Lots of trees. We were here in a 44ft. 5th wheel. Right across street from Reptile Garden. A couple of miles from Bear Country. While we were here we also went to the Badlands and Wall Drug, Mt. Rushmore, Black Hills, Devil's Tower, Crazy Horse, the Berlin Wall Memorial. We rode the 1880 train. You can start in Hill City or Keystone. We work remote. The wifi service for verizon was ok but slow and the campground wifi was ok. But, Tmobile and Att did not work.

Super nice people at the front office and GREAT value. We will be back!!!

We stayed here 3 nights ago on our way to Montana and loved it. Clean bathrooms, nice laundry room, the friendliest staff. We drove 9 hours back in one day on our trip home with two little kids just to stay here again.

Staff are pleasant and helpful. The restrooms and showers were very clean. They have just about all you need from firewood to adult beverages. Located close to all the major sites like Mount Rushmore and others. Convenient.
