Today I found myself at a nice little Cajun place in Webster Groves. I originally set out from my house, not knowing where I wanted to eat dinner or even if I wanted dinner. My wandering took me to Webster, where I stumbled into this place and thought I wanted some fried catfish. That is exactly what I got. The place was lively when I walked in, with a live band playing and TVs all over the place showing college basketball. The place felt like walking into a bar/restaurant down in Morgan City, LA. I found a high-top seat, and a lovely waitress came over, took my order for fried catfish, coleslaw, fries and an appetizer of fried ravioli but these were stuffed with crab meat. Only thing I forgot to ask for was cornbread. Anyway, the catfish was fried well, the coleslaw tasty, the waffle fries cooked to perfection, and the ravioli took a prize for the best thing I ate while I was there. Overall, I enjoyed myself and went home full and happy. Would love to go again, especially to their brunch, which looks downright delectable.

It was definitely a great vibe! The The ambience was a salute to everything New Orleans, blues, and fun. We came on open mic night so we stayed around a bit to hear some good music from a couple of the house bands. Our server was polite and knowledgeable. If I had to make a recommendation, I'd say try the gumbo...either of them would be great but I had the chicken and sausage gumbo. It was absolutely delightful and seasoned well.

There are so many great looking items on the menu that I have to come back just to try more!

Found this place with a Google search for BBQ. We overwhelmingly loved our visit!

Drinks were tasty and strong. Pretzel sticks and beer cheese dip were delicious.
Portions of all our meals were giant.

We happened to arrive in time for live music/open mic night. We listened to a few groups and love it. Entertaining.

Stayed long enough we ended up ordering dessert. Mississippi Mud Pie. Super yum.

Our server was attentive and friendly and made great drink recommendations.

Their food has been featured several times on the Food Network and its spectacular. The drink selection is vast with a variety of beers and Liquors and wines. The atmosphere is exquisitely fun with a really cool wall painting that features all the artists made famous that grew up or were raised along Highway 61 from Chicago to New Orleans period an incredible mural

The food was good and served hot. Service was really good, which surprised me because the place was packed. Mixed drinks had plenty of alcohol in them.

We love yo go there with a group on Saturdays for a band (cover). But, especially for Wednesday open mic nights (free). It’s wonderful! I think the price for food is a tad high but not bad. The place is decorated beautifully for the genre.

I can’t say enough good things about this place! The food, the atmosphere, the service! This was our first visit on a Friday night, and they had a live band the Killer Wails who were fabulous. Dinner entertainment and lots of dancing! It was difficult to decide what to order since everything on the menu sounded incredible. We tried the shrimp and crawfish etouffee, the voodoo chicken sandwich, Gorgonzola burger, and smothered catfish and it was some of the best food we have ever had. My husband ranks a restaurants spicy chicken every time he tried a new place, and the voodoo chicken has moved to the number one spot. We did have a bit of a wait for seats, but the wait was so worth it! 10/10 recommend!

I got a to go order from this place and let me tell you this is an absolute great place!!!

I got the catfish fingers with a side of their gumbo! Absolutely fantastic! If you can take heat, I suggest voodoo sauce on the side to enhance the flavor for the catfish fingers!

Also if you can, get the hot & honey shrimp on top of the dirty rice! From my understanding it’s a limited time item that comes around certain months, but if you can get it, PLEASE GET IT!!!!

Love this place! Hadn't been back in a couple of years, but forgot how much we love the food and the atmosphere! We'll be back more often. We were there on a Saturday evening so they were very busy and we did wait a bit for our food, but that was no problem at all. Our server Manmohan checked on us regularly and we got the bonus of listening to the live music from our table upstairs.

Awesome place. Love the Cajun atmosphere with interesting food selections. Love their take on potstickers. One of the few places you can find bbq spaghetti. Trust me it sounds weird but works perfectly together.

The decor in this place was interesting and kept you busy looking around. The waiter said they are known for their live music and Mardi gras. Additionally menu wise, known for gumbo, Mac and cheese, etc. I had the cajun sampler, which was red beans and rice, gumbo, and etouffee. It was delicious but a lot of food. My wife had bbq spaghetti, daughter Mac & Cheese ( which she said was the best she thought she ever ate), and her boyfriend and our friend both had what I had. All agreed we would come back.

WOW! I mean, the food is just that! I want to try everything on this menu! Here we had the chicken and the etoufee. Next time, I'm going full send with a special cocktail and not just a beer

Hwy 61 was amazing. Today was my first visit for brunch and I will be back. The food was so hot and delicious, especially the mini corn souffles. Our server, Jamie, was outstanding. She made sure our bellies were so full we had to waddle out lol. We could not have been more pleased with the service, food, cleanliness of the resturant, and atmosphere.

They were short handed when we arrived and 1 bartender and 1 waitress. Jamie our waitress was cruising! Food came out quick and she did it with a smile (i know she was smiling behind her mask 😷). Food was delicious! Of course you've gotta try the red beans and rice. I got the mud pie as a close to the meal and it didn't disappoint at all! I mean brownie, ice cream, hot fudge, Carmel whip cream TOASTED mini marshmallows! Yes I said toasted minis....they were good....if your expecting super sweet...it us not...which is my preference! I'll return for sure!

Great local restaurant serving authentic food found along Highway 61 from St. Louis to New Orleans. While not the healthiest, the food is consistently tasty and service is fast and friendly. It's been celebrated several times by the Food Network and other publications for the food and atmosphere.

Try them for happy hour, Wed-Fri from 3:00 to 6:30, when appetizers are 1/2 price and most drinks are discounted. Be sure to sign up for their frequent diner program before your visit to take advantage of the special pricing as well as other offers sent each month.
