A neighbor remarked about the food he had eaten there, and I did not feel like cooking that night, so we drove down the road to check it out. We were not disappointed. My wife and I split a 1/2 chicken combo with plantains and coleslaw. The chef's mom took the order and very soon it was delivered, with two kinds of sauces. The food was delicious.
We later had a very generous portion of Cajeta.
Our appetite was satisfied.
We will go again.

Wife and I went there for the first time when we didn’t want to cook and didn’t want fried food. Let me tell ya, GREAT service and food was good. Very reasonable.Also loved the fact that he recognized that I was a Veteran.The Mom is so sweet..Thanks Robert!!!

This was my first time visiting this place. The reviews were good so we decided to try it.
I appreciated the service of the older lady who took my order.. she was very patient and helpful.
The cook was very nice and helpful as well who came out to complete my order.
I end up leaving my wallet on the counter & didn’t realize it till after 2 days.. when I called that Monday, she confirmed that they had put it up.
I was elated and was able to pick it up the next day! How wonderful and a blessing!!

What an amazing hidden gem in Prince Frederick!! You MUST come here. I've had Peruvian chicken in a bunch of places but the special touch of a local owner shows in the quality of the food here. Definitely get the plantains, they are freshly fried to order so they are sweet and piping hot. And definitely get the green sauce. It's not just a cup of lime green heat like other places, this sauce has depth and flavor with fresh herbs and is not spicy. Our chicken was so moist and flavorful. If the concept of peruvian (charcoal rotisserie) chicken is a little out of your comfort zone, trust me, it's incredibly approachable with flavor profiles that are good for any palette. We had the pleasure of meeting "mom", and she is incredibly sweet and proud of her son's food. The prices are very reasonable for the portion sizes and the quality of food. If you are anywhere near the area.....drive past all the chain restaurants and fast food and get some Pollo Delicioso!

I love fried plantains, and hadn't had them for quite some time - at Pollo Delicioso, they're a standard side dish!

I had the quarter chicken (white meat) with spanish rice and plantains, and thoroughly enjoyed it. The sweet lady at the register even came to check on me and see if I needed anything halfway through my meal.

The dining room, such as it is, is nothing special, but it's mostly a takeout place anyway.

This place is amazing and deserves all 5 stars. The owner was so kind and his mother was so sweet and helpful. The chicken and sauces were fantastic. I’m a foodie and I travel a lot and I like to places like that serve amazing and delicious home recipe food.

Yeeeeee hawwwww yoooooo woahhhh this is THE place to get the stuff! Got the Manager's Special and it was fantastic. Meant to take a picture of the food, but it was mostly all eaten by the time I thought of it! We got the slippery plantains with the special sweet white sauce and the YUCA fry guys. Both were just sick nasty good. The chicken though, hooooo buddy man child's children, this was the treat. Wonderfully done, excellently seasoned. I'LL BE BACK

Good home cooking is hard to find these days with so many big box restaurants dominating the space and copying those reciepes. But you can't copy perfect!
They were so accommodating to my requests without a flinch of "we can't do that".
As someone who dines for work in some of the finest rated restaurants in DC with the who's who amongst the chef community, it's nice to find this gem!
I love a chef that puts his own spin on things once you begin chatting casually and put you at ease as he prepares something that is a surprise and delight.

Support this small business, the best things in life are good conversion, good food and the patience to savor and enjoy the moment!

Excellent food. Servings are very large and we ended up carrying out leftovers. Very friendly and just a great experience.

real food made by real people,,, all the comments about the fried plantains were justified, best i ever had, along with arroz chaufa, i waddled out went home took a nap and have leftovers today,,, wife got chicken dinner and was very happy, when mom checked on us i felt like we were regulars but it was our first, not last

We ordered the Family Sampler Platter along with some queso and a chicken and cheese quesadilla. All of the food was delicious. The chicken and dipping sauces were my favorite. Their chips are light and crunchy, and they held up very well in the taco nachos I made. They did not get soggy at all. We will definetly be visiting again.

This place is the classic, "Don't judge a book by its cover" situation. This place is hands down, the best chicken place in Calvert County. They deserve all the love we can give, give it a try and you won't be disappointed. The lady at the front desk was delightful to talk to, and made the possess pleasant and quick. I can't say enough good about the food. Give them love because they deserve it.

If you want delicious and fresh rotisserie chicken, this place is for you! I am very picky about chicken but Pollo Delicioso know what they’re doing. Well first of all, it is a small family owned restaurant. The gentleman and his sweet mom will greet with the friendliest smiles. They are very nice and helpful. The food is amazing!!! The chicken is very fresh, seasoned to perfection, and cooked in small batches. We love this place. Even my little picky eater loves it. Generous portions, good prices, and delicious food.

Pretty much everything was great. We will definitely be going back. The portions were quite large but it was great to be able to try a bit of everything.

The chicken was great, the rice was great. The onion rings are the best Iv ever had. This place is fantastic.

Disclaimer: I am not Peruvian and can not speak to the “authenticity” of the food.... however... I’m impressed! I ordered the lunch special - 1/4 chicken, white rice, and a bunch of the green sauce. The chicken was flavorful and moist, the rice was perfectly cooked, and that green sauce was my favorite part!! We ordered thru the website and our order was ready within 20 minutes. I highly recommend and will be returning for more!

I have never been to a place, let alone restaurant, that has such high quality of customer service. The staff is warm and you genuinely feel like they want you there, not in a desperate “you pay us” sense, but out of who they are. They liked you. The chicken was wonderful and I’ve never tasted better sauces that went with it. The plantains were a taste of home-cooked. They took each dish seriously and with care, making sure our ice cream was the last thing that would come out so not to melt on our way out. If you are in the area, come to this family owned business.
