Todays service March 26th 10am with regards to the music was absolutely beautiful. Sam u aced it with “How Great Thou Art” and all of the music was heartfelt ❤ please continue to bring in these older songs at least from time to time. My husband and I after 15 years returned back to church 6 months ago and feel so blessed. Jason you are by far the best pastor we have ever had the Privilege of experiencing. Gods word speaks loud and clear 🙏

My family and I love this church! We have been coming here since the Fall of 2010 and It has officially become our home church and we feel so accepted, welcomed, loved at this church and the people here are very friendly; which, means so much to me and my family. Pastor Jason and the church staff are just wonderful, not t mention his sermons are incredible! They have so much stuff for families to do and events happening all year. The Sunday schools and fellowship are great and E3 is great as well. This is the best church I have been to in a very long time.

I absolutely love this church! I have been here since they were called "First Baptist" and it has always felt like home. When I first move to NC with my military spouse I searched and searched for a church that made me feel comfortable and welcomed. So many churches had made me feel unwelcomed and tried to shame me for nursing my son during service, even though I used a cover. I even had one church escort me to an entirely different building, in the rain, so that I could nurse my son. My first time at Catalyst, called First Baptist at the time, I mentioned to one of the greeters at the entrance that I was a nursing mom. They have a special room, still in the same building so no walking to it in inclement weather, designated for mothers to nurse and still enjoy the service. It has cozy chairs and everything. They have a family room where you can watch the service while your child and they have a free daycare center that you can use during service if you just want to focus on your worship. They love to make the service special for both parents and kids alike. They had a superhero week where all the superheroes were there for the kids to take pictures with and they always have coffee and lemonade before each service. The services aren't super long and you get a great word. Pastor Jason is fun and preaches the word in a way that's easy for everyone at all levels in their spiritual journey can understand. Would highly recommend.

Awesome staff! Very friendly to all. Love the fact that they make military folks feel welcomed. Worship is great, the message is awesome from pastor Jason. For me, this had been the best church family I have found.

I love going to this church. Coming from the south, very deep in the Bible belt I was raised with a certain level of belief that church had to be structured around basically getting beat with the Bible. That is totally not the way we praise here. I say we because after attending for six months I decided to formally join and transferred my membership. Its 100% come as you are and you are continuous made to feel at home. No one is stalking you or beating you over the head with a Bible. All the pastoral staff make the lessons easy to understand and very down to Earth making them easy to talk to. The choir is amazing and they give you plenty of warning about the light show that goes along with the praise song selection. I highly recommend coming by and checking out this church if your searching for a church home. It's definitely a home.

I miss this church and the people that I had friendships with ❤ I was very sad when my ex husband and I had to pick up and move after four years of living in NC. If I ever get the chance to come back to NC I will definitely be revisiting 😊

My husband and I recently moved to the area and have been looking for a church that we could go to. On the Internet we searched for churches in our area that were within our belief system and we found catalyst. The church used to be known as “First Baptist” but they have renamed it “Catalyst”. Being used to going to Non Denominal churches at first we weren’t sure but we immediately felt very comfortable as the church feels like a non denominational church.

What a wonderful church, the people are great, super friendly, everything is very organized and easy to find. We have found the pastor to be quite engaging very knowledgeable and definitely has a strong walk with Christ.

The worship there is absolutely amazing the Holy Spirit definitely resides there. One service where we were singing worship I found myself having tears roll down my face, a feeling I haven’t felt in a very long time, my heart was so full of the Holy spirit all I felt was just pure joy.

Anyone who has moved to the area or has lived here for a long time and you’re looking for a great church you should try this one. Catalyst is quite large but they do have small groups or they call them “life groups” that you can get involved in and have the feeling of small church around you.

I encourage you to go to just one service and see what you think because my husband and I are so grateful that we have found our new church home.

Beautiful church, the sermons are very fulfilling and spiritually deep. The atmosphere is a place where you feel you don't want to leave. Everytime I go, I don't want to leave because of the peace it brings to my spirit. Pastor Jason gets to the core of the Bible and it's meaning that fits Into everyday life, in every aspect. Would not go anywhere else.

Excellent church! Pastor Jason always delivers a powerful message! While I believe the main campus is to crowded for my liking, the Northside campus and the onsite pastor, create a warm, inviting and friendly atmosphere exemplifying the love of Christ. My family and I have had a difficult time finding a church to belong to, until now! this is about as good as it gets!

My wife and I love this church. I have a 4yr daughter and she loves it as well. Their Sunday school is broken down by age and room which is way convenient. You should definitely come one Sunday to make your own opinion.

Moved back to the area not long ago and started to look for a new home church. I've been to this church years ago when it was under a different name but I went today to check it out and I loved everything about it so far, the people were very friendly and welcoming, pastor gave an awesome sermon and it was just an overall great atmosphere, I don't think I'm looking any further than catalyst church for my new home church here in Jacksonville!

This church I have never experienced before the different ways churches can make you feel. Me I enjoy the music before and after Mass. I state mass because I was raised Catholic. All religions are different but still the same in believe in God.

My family and I just moved to this area from Texas. My wife was not able to find a church in Texas that she felt comfortable at for 2 years. I had found my home in a small biker church. I was there from the first day of service until a little after the two year anniversary.
Coming to NC I was scared. I did not know what to expect or what kind of church my family and I would be able to find. I did not want to go any amount of time without hearing he word of God.
Luckily we ended up being late to our second Sunday at another church in Jacksonville. We decided to go ahead and check out other churches and their worship times. Well we were lucky enough to find First Baptist Church Jax. We arrived with enough time to get all three children put into their perspective age group classes. My wife and I proceeded to the Worship hall. It was large and inviting. The volunteers greeting people were not overbearing us as we are fresh faces. The music was amazing and not too loud like some big churches. The sermon.... the sermon was amazing and spoke directly to me. I loves that I could follow along with the Bible app, and even take notes.
Today was the second Sunday my family and I went. We have found our church home. My two year old is incredibly hard to deal with because of the weaning off her pacifier and trying to potty train... Yet the volunteers at FBCjax always find a way to keep her without her crying. Amazing! Membership will soon come.

This church is AMAZING! The spirit of God is alive in this place and the people that work/volunteer here have hearts of Gold. I’ve been going here for a few years now and this group of believers helped foster my growth in Christ in a huge way.

Big but very welcoming Bible-based church grounded in Christ. Music a little rock-concert-like but uplifting. Great children's ministry and small group opportunities.

I’m new to the area and always so nervous when going to a new church but everyone here has been so welcoming and put me at ease - I actually enjoy going in person and sundays are now the highlight of my week! Thank you

Catalyst is a great place to meet friends and thrive in a Church atmosphere. They children's program offers classes for birth to 5th grade DURING church services. There is also a family room and a mother's room that allow families and nursing mothers to watch the sermon live. Catalyst also offers a side by side program for children who might need a constant buddy to help them through the children's services.

My family and I have been coming to this church for two years now and although it is a large church it feels so much like home. The worship and sermon is always amazing, the people, staff, and other families are great as well.
