Taco 🌮 Tuesday the real way!!! I am always looking for real street tacos. These are right there with authentic!! Awesome salsa bar, fantastic margaritas 🍹 Walk up to the counter, order what you want, fix your salsa preferences, sit, and here comes your food! Fast friendly service and man, it's good!!! Clean nice dining area!!! I LOVE LA TAPATIA!!!!

I went there last week and I’m not very used to anything of Hispanic culture food wise, but one of the waitresses, Alexis, pointed me in the direction in getting the birria tacos. My honest opinion overall is that 1, it’s really good I love how the flavors blend well and it comes with the broth or dipping sauce it comes with taste so perfectly put together. 2, as a lactose intolerant who can’t handle so much cheese Alexis told the cook to put light cheese on once I told her I could handle just a slight bit, 3, the service is so good I was treated respectfully and felt happy there, in my experience of trying new places of different cultures I can say this is a restaurant I suggest and would definitely come back to. 4, always ask for Alexis.

Finally found my Taco spot in Wilmington! Food was great and Liz was super nice and helpful.

I had playa azul from the menu. It was Grilled Steak, chicken, and shrimp served with rice, beans, sour cream salad, and tortillas. It was really good and the price was fair for the amount of food it was served. I do recommend this place! 👌

Highly Recommend It/ Recomendado

When visiting Wilmington this weekend, we wanted something authentically Mexican! Traditional flavor! La Tapatía came up! The name is very traditional so we have it a shot! I am Mexican! Eat tacos, tortas, zopes, etc. They have Aguachile (similar to Shimp Ceviche but spicier and less vegetables). Aguachile, traditionally from Nayarit (like me), was DELICIOUS! I was not disappointed at all! All the food was great! Highly Recommend it to anyone with the traditional taste of great Mexican Restaurants! (Picture of the aguachile is only leftover :) )

Ok so let's start from the very beginning. Walking in here and you get that delicious smell hitting you in the face. Now that's out of the way, the service is friendly and quick their salsa bar isn't very diverse but there's two options mellow green salsa tomatillo based and a hot red salsa. Both very good. Their lunch specials and the quantity of food is so worth it! 10/10 recommend this place for a quick bite or a sit down visit because the art is wonderful.

Awesome food. Very authentic and very welcoming. Their salsa was out of this world and spicy too. The portion size is huge too so you will definitely be taking home left overs. They also have CokaCola in a glass bottle and supposedly it tastes better.

If you’ve never had a Pollo Asado Quesadilla in a corn tortilla, you haven’t lived and this place has the best ones in town. If you’re looking for authentic Mexican food, this is THE spot! Oh, and that Pollo Asado Quesadilla I mentioned… It was so delicious, I ate the whole thing before I snapped a picture. So, I hope the picture of the Carne Asado Tostada is good enough that you’ll try this place because if you don’t, you’re missing out. Don’t forget the Tres Leche cake for dessert. It’s also equally delicious! 🤩

Man this is the second time we've been here and we just love it. Had a piece of the chocolate flan cake and it was delightful. The woman who helped us said the owner made it. Love to see restaurant owners who are passionate about it! I had the steak fajitas and my husband had al pastor torta and we both really enjoyed it. The street corn was really good too!

Very good food and menu. Definitely recommend if you like the real deal! The Carne Asada fries were excellent.

It was quiet when I went in so the atmosphere was what I needed after a loud day. Never been in hear before, had no idea what to expect. I speak no Spanish but was able to order a vegetable burrito and it was so freaking good. Roasted veggies, wrapped up, coated in melted cheese, side of delicious Spanish rice. It was perfect. If you're in the area, or never been, visit this excellent restaurant.
I have saved the info for my next trip to Wilmington when I will bring the family with me.

Pretty good food for some cheap prices. It may look like a small portioned plate be average standards but it is very filling!
