Doschers IGA-Charleston

It was disgusting. All the fruits and vegetables were rotten in produce some of the meat was outdated in the meat department some of the meat was old in the meat department and the restroom was horrible I am contacting corporate on Monday morning... This used to be one of my favorite places to shop unfortunately NEVER AGAIN!!!! NEVER!!!!

5 stars for their excellent meat department...great variety, fresh & reasonable prices. As a bonus, this location actually has very helpful & knowledgeable butchers. I'll drive the extra 13 miles just to purchase meat.

Even the men in the back are friendly if you ask them a question about meats. This is a very comfortable store to grocery shop in. The music keeps I very very happy you don't want to leave. The cashiers are always pleasant and friendly with a bit of Southern hospitality. The shells are clean and not dusty.👍

Always good. The manager is always present and smiling the staffs are helpful and if you go early the butcher will cut up the meat for you. Unfortunately today I went late so Today my oxtail were not cut to how I like them.

They have the best meats for southern cooking. No one else sells it. My mother ALWAYS has me drive across town to buy meat to season her greens and peas.

The cashier was very helpful in assisting me and assuring that I remembered to swap out a bucket (1of5) that was damaged and needed replacing. She may have noticed my impairment and disoriented, but politely helped me complete a transaction that I would normally have an aid assisting me.

The meat selection here beats every store in town. They have good old fashioned butchers who know their meat. Also they carry some eclectic items you won't find elsewhere. Plus shopping here is always like taking a trip back in time. They carry a lot of SC Grown certified produce. While not a fancy store, this store is an amazing place to find certain items. Locals know why Doscher's is the last of the "original" Charleston grocers.

This is not a "nice" grocery store. It is not high end. What it is and always has been is the ONLY store in town where you can buy the staple cuts of meat for lowcountry and Gullah cuisine, like smoked hocks and jowls and Turkey wings, oxtail and neck bones, and a whole bunch of different cuts. I even found goat meat here for Jamaican goat curry. Support for local family businesses!

I enjoy shopping at IGA/DOSCHERS They have great meat to choose from and it is Quality ! I don't worry about tough steak,roast (beef) . They have a lot of choices with pork ,chicken, ham etc. Produce ,frozen foods . I enjoy shopping there and would be very upset if it closes or relocates because of other stores Wholefoods etc. Please be considerate !!!! Thanks

When you're totally fed up with high prices and poor quality on meats.. this is where you go! A wonderful store with a fantastic staff!!

They need to reduce all their meat for quick sale and get fid of it. All the red meat was brown and im scared to see. What would happen if someone checked tbe chicken for somanila

When it comes to meat prices, they simply can't be beaten. Awesome customer service, and great butcher shop.

I have been shopping there for many years.Started when i was just a small boy with my grandma.they have everything i need . i have taken my kids their.So we are talking about three generations of shopping a Doschers. I could go on but i will begin to eat my candy apple which i just got.

The staff is always friendly and helpful. Always come here for the dry sausage. It's awesome everyone must try it.

The Butcher was very nice and helpful....the cashier's have the worst attitude's it's like they show up to work and hate every minute of their jobs...But I guess that's what you have to go through cause they have the best prices on everything in town....
