This place is amazing! It is pretty pricey but it's seafood and can't lie...its worth it!!! Went out with my siblings for the first time and we all loved it! The server was very nice and attentive. The food was amazing. I ordered the lb of shrimp and got full so fast. I'd given my little brother some as well and still had so many left over to take home. The crab legs were good and the sauce I chose for the shrimp was very good. Spicy and flavorful. Definitely going back...maybe after tax season lol.

Since we were in the area we decided to stop. It use to be a seafood place and then closed. Figured we'd take a chance and she what they had to offer.

There is a lot of room in the place and it's decorated accordingly. We were greeted before our eyes could even adjust from outside.

The waiter explained the whole menu, things to try, good combinations, drinks and happy hour specials.

We ordered and I decided to check out the reviews on Google. After reading some of the negatives we both got a little concerned.

In the end, we were not disappointed!

I got a shrimp boil for one with broccoli and sausage. It was "The kitchen sink" flavor and "Hot" for the heat. Everything came out good.

Per other reviews they said that the vein was in their shrimp. I checked all 20ish of mine and not a single one.

My wife got the fried shrimp with fries, gumbo and hush puppies. She ate everything she could until she was full.

The only thing she could mention that would be considered negative is that the hush puppies were a little chewy. If they would've been cooked another couple of minutes they would've been spot on.

The waiter was amazing! Funny and liked what he did! Didn't want for anything. Drinks were full and order correct and we didn't have to wait long.

A must while you're here is to use the hand washing station between the bar and bathrooms! I wish more places had this!!!

Got the VIP (Spicy Garlic), delicious 😋. Flavor was on point! We also got The BOSS, fried catfish tasted better than other places I've had. Waitress was nice and wear mask entire time.

Delicious!! Our server was Koko & she was awesome!! She also had really nice pants & hair color!!

Had a nice time...oysters on the half shell..and fried crawfish tails...yum.... Little on the pricey side.. But nice...

Got the VIP boil platter it was fabulous!! Great price for the amount of food. All fresh and hot

OutStanding customer service. I will be back again hope someday they will have Military 🇺🇸 Discount. The waitress she was real nice. And thank you for Taking time to listen to a veteran.

Came here with my fiance for my birthday lunch. We tried the crab stuffed tots which were amazing! He got The Boss and I got the Shrimp Boil. We each took 1/2 home because there was so much food. Then we had the fried bread pudding with chocolate sauce for dessert. Everything was amazing! Great fresh taste. Great service. Very COVID conscientious environment.

I literally just got done devouring the best meal ever. I ordered the “date night” and it has a mixture of shrimp, crab legs, king crab legs, corn and potatoes. I also ordered a half dozen raw oysters. I was very impressed and will definitely be back soon. Aaren was my waiter and he was pretty awesome, kept ya happy and would check to ensure we were enjoying our food and we had a refill. Highly recommend

Let me say this : I've traveled all around the globe from my military experience, as well as a position in the private sector. I have NEVER been a fan of most seafood. THAT being said : I HIGHLY RECOMMEND stopping by the Shell Shack and sampling the fair. Fresh and delicious food. I thoroughly enjoyed everything from the crab, to the shrimp, to the sausage, to the hot wings and the freshly brewed sweet tea. Fast friendly service from a pleasant and efficient staff. Their menu ranges in variety and price, and if you leave hungry - it's your own fault.

This was our first time at shell shack. My husband and I decided to go after reading the reviews.

We were quoted a 15 minute wait but were seated in half the time. Our server was Madison.

She was very informative and polite. She recommended food for us and got us our drinks in a timely manner.

Madison was an excellent server. She was very professional, even when her table next to us was not so polite. Madison spoke to them with patience and ease.

Dinner was very delicious. We strongly recommend eating here and recommend Madison as your server!

Wow really great food.... not cheap but seafood is always pricey so not out of line. The food was great and the server was very helpful... Michael was very good as explaining the menu and the chalkboard. Best friend oysters I have had in dfw area. Full bar was also good. Note the place is casual which was a nice change for seafood place. It is kinda loud so not a great place for romantic dinner, but great place to hang out. And the hand wash station was great idea for a food that always leads to messy hands.

Awesome crab broil and oysters on the half shell! Hoping to get back here soon.

Delicious food, great service, reasonable price! Wonderful place to go if you’re in he mood for seafood. My wife and I shared the VIP platter and it was plenty for both of us. It was all very well seasoned and the fries were perfect. Will definitely be back next time we are in town.

Went in on a Saturday late lunch date with my husband.
We didn’t have high hopes because of some of the reviews and the fact that both of our families are from Louisiana so we’re slightly snobby about seafood.

However, we are glad we tried it.

1. Atmosphere was nice. They had sports on but they were playing music and it was a great selection.
2. Our server Lala was amazing and attentive. She was nice, polite... gave us space but also made sure we had everything we needed
3. The hand washing station was nice and convenient!!
4 we got the 2 orders of crab stuffed tater tots and VIP platter my husband and I shared.
The stuffed tots were phenomenal. So. Good.
The VIP platter was also amazing!! Snow crab was cooked perfectly. The meat came out in huge chunks and the shells were easy to crack and remove. Shrimp was also super good (we got cajun, mild seasoning) I’m not a bug fan of hush puppies but the ones we got as a side were good. Everything was good!!! We both left happy and super full (and my husband has a huge appetite)

Our bill was a little steep but $30 of it was drinks. But for seafood it was a good price.

Seafood is expensive in general; no matter where you go for it

My husband and I stopped in because we were wanting oysters. They were amazing. Very clean and fresh the horseradish was perfect they were the best we have ever had. Staff was very friendly service was outstanding. We will definitely be back.

Been looking forward to eating here for a while because i heard great things. Went in for lunch around 12:30. Was told to pick a table and then sat there for almost 10 watching the same 3 people walk past our table over and over again. Finally decided to get up and leave. Too bad I'll never know if the food was as good as I'd heard.

EDIT: after calling corporate and giving them a second chance I was pleasantly surprised in both pick up and dine in. My first experience was likely just a bad experience, on a bad day. From what I can tell great service is the norm. AND there's plenty of options and delicious seafood!!!

I am a firm believer in "You get what you pay for", and I did indeed. I reluctantly placed an order, and was quite impressed. Two orders of calamari as well as a fried shrimp plate, and a side of hush puppies. The quality overall was very good. I've paid more for small portions of frozen calamari at many restaurants, but shell shack delivered the opposite. Two full to-go containers of fresh calamari, and two cups of dipping sauces of my choice (their tartar sauce and blue cheese are wonderful). I had foolishly disregarded Shell Shack because of the people who had referenced their "overpriced menu", but to them I say you get what you pay for.

I went there with a friend of mine tonight and I got 1lb of snow crab with the kitchen sink seasoning and she got the chicken and sausage gumbo. We both loved our food! When our waiter, Eliashia (I’m not too sure how he spelled his name), brought my crab legs it seemed like there was quite a bit to be desired but he assured me they weighed it. A little while later the manager came because she was told that I had some meat missing and she was going to make sure I got what was left out. Although I was okay with the amount that I got originally I am SO happy that my server and the manager cared about what was missing and resolved the issue so quickly and professionally. I’ll definitely be back!

Took my wife here to try to get her to eat “freaky sea creatures” as she calls them(crab, shrimp, etc.), and she loved it! We got the Kitchen Sink flavored Date Night, and it was amazing. I’ve been trying to get her to like stuff like this for years and years, and was never able to until we went there. So glad y’all came to town. We will definitely be back.
