I was referred to the Headache Institute of Texas by another physician for migraine. Very thorough, professional, friendly and responsive staff; Dr Holt discovered the source of my headaches and developed a comprehensive, successful treatment. Highly recommend her and her team.

I started seeing Dr Holt for migraines while I was nursing, and after I became pregnant again. Meds weren't really an option, but the exercises she taught and the supplements, and lifestyle adjustments she suggested have kept me migraine free for months. I can now detect the physical sensations that come before my migraine, and can take a few minutes to myself to reset my neck and my body's tension to stop it in its tracks. She worked with me on a personal level and customized everything to my priorities and needs. I'm so grateful. God bless you, Dr Holt.

I previously was seeing a neurologist for my migraines. I had never had even a headache until spring of 2018, developed 9+ day migraines (two different types) and didn't seek help until late 2021. I was prescribed abortive medications, that didn't help. I participated in cervicogenic massages, that worsened the pain. I was suggested an injection to the brain stem, a scary suggestion. So, I left. After 6 months of winging it and moving to TX from SC, I found the Headache Institute. Within my first visit, I had greater understanding, respect, and help than over a year with a neurologist. The focus and mindfulness on the totality of the issue - from stress, food, exercise, sleep, posture, climate, amongst the other factors helped me take one step at a time to build knowledge of how to avoid triggering the pain. I saw improvement much faster than expected and it has maintained over the course of almost a year. With all natural processes. I was prescribed a muscle relaxer ONCE early on to help the recovery process of my neck muscles (which seemed to be the main trigger). I could go on and on, I laugh when I tell people how this actually worked, but I am very thankful it did. I still have migraines and they still can be horrible, but the rate, length and intensity of them is less than 25% what it was and is manageable if I follow the directions I as given.

If I could go back, I wish I would've known there were options outside of someone just trying to throw drugs at you until something MAYBE worked. Go to the root of the source... and that's what this process has done.

I am so happy my ENT recommended Dr.Holt. The staff is wonderful. Dr. Holt is so kind and she helps out tremendously! I had cluster migraines for over two years but a few weeks into this program they went away. The program is a healing program and tackles all aspects that contribute to headaches in a natural way. I threw out my migraine medication and am never looking back! Never felt better! Thank you Dr. Holt and team! I 100% recommend!

Back in 2018 I got a recommendation to visit Dr. Holt, which honestly was the best thing I ever was told and I would say probably saved my life. I was having 1-3 headaches a week and migraine at least once a month, it effected my job and my life. I was miserable, in pain, and depressed. Thankfully with Dr Holt and Hubbard we were able to narrow it down to my neck and a pinched nerve pretty quickly. I like that they gave me options and we went noninvasive to help manage my pain and fix the problem. I started neck PT basically and was given some medications to use as needed if the pain got bad, but the emphasize was on the physical therapy aspect, fixing my posture, managing my stress levels, and taking note of my body to stop the headache before it even started. It wasn’t hard PT, and I found some of the breathing exercises and stress management help with other things in my life too. Overall what the doctor did and recommended really helped. I haven’t had a migraine since early 2019, and I rarely have a headache now (maybe once every 5 mos at most). I also like Holts approach to find the problem (Pinched neck nerve) and deal with that then just throw medication at the effects (The pain). I didn’t want to be taking medication for the rest of my life, so I am very happy with this practice. I recommend Dr Holt and Hubbard to anybody who asks (and some that don’t, lol).

I love them! I no longer have migraines that last days, I don't feel like I have to limit my enjoyment or happy moments because a headache got in the way of living. They don't give you medicine that makes you drowsy or not yourself, they give you exercises to do and ways you can adjust your living to help you with headaches. I highly recommend this facility and the insight they have to offer! 👍🏼

I have been going to the headache institute for about 4 months now. Dr Holt and her staff are awesome ! I have suffered with different migraines (ocular, with aura, tension and just daily headaches)for more than 20 years along with the pain that comes with them on my neck, shoulders, base of skull, between my shoulder blades, behind my eyes and sides of head. Also nausea, fatigue, and insomnia to the point where I couldn’t do my daily tasks or function as myself. after working the programs at the headache institute I have control of my migraines and the pains and symptoms that go with them and also can sleep. I can’t thank them enough for the tools I have learned and the improvements I have felt and my family has seen in me .I look forward to continue to work the program and continue to see more progress. 🙂 I highly recommend anyone suffering like I was, to go and see dr Holt and her staff.

Highly unprofessional office staff. Don't ever have a question about your bills because they will respond to questions rudely and without any tact. Dr. Holt is very nice but her staff makes going to her office not worth it.
