Excellent food and atmosphere. Friendly service, yet I leave feeling like a stranger in another world. It’s not their fault; I should learn the language! 😉
Definitely give this place your time and money. The lunch buffet is beyond description and worth every penny of the price. The stemware and linen is the perfect compliment to the food.

This place is a hidden gem - definitely worth a visit! Come here for authentic Indian food, delicious flavors, very friendly service, and a great ambiance. There's a ton of options to suit anyone's preference. Don't worry if you don't like spicy food, they can make things not spicy for you.

Beautifully decorated, great service and delicious food. Portions were good and lots of options to choose from. Open for dinner so we had to wait until after 4 but worth the wait. For sure watch the spice level if you are not wanting too spicy we got medium and it was spicy, I don't think we would go any higher. Would recommend and visit anytime we are in town.

My wife and family were visiting for Thanksgiving and decided we wanted Indian food.After searching Google,Sitar of India was recommended. I will say this is the BEST food of our whole trip. The waiter is also the nicest person we've met in Charleston. I will absolutely be back again. For the food and hospitality. You must check out the chicken kofta!

I dined in for the lunch buffet special and it was amazing! For a very fair price of $13, I was able to enjoy two full plates of delicious foods like chicken tikka masala, basmati rice, garlic potatoes, naan, kheer, and gulab jamun. On top of that, they also served some of the best mango lassi I've had in ages. The restaurant is decorated with beautiful colors, making it feel extra bright and welcoming. The service was great too and I loved that they seemed to genuinely enjoy seeing and talking with their regulars. I'm so glad I stopped by this gem of a place while visiting Charleston!

We love stopping by here for lunch when we're in Charleston. They have a smaller buffet area that is filled with delicious food. The entire buffet is kept hot, fresh and is prepared beautifully. Try everything, you won't regret it!
The staff here is great! Everyone we've met has been friendly and fun to talk with. It's refreshing to see a restaurant where all of the staff takes an interest in you and your dining experience.
My only regret is not being able to go to their Independence Celebration Dinner. Hopefully they will have another special occasion dinner soon.

I been to India restaurants in Prague and in Vienna and many locations in Florida and so far this one in WV has to be the best tasting and family friendly service! So much flavor filling food that we had to go again and again while spending vacation in Charleston West Virginia

Absolutely, the best restaurant in West Virginia!! I've been to many Indian restaurants from Florida to NY, and Sitar beats them all!! The owner/staff are all super friendly, thus the reason I'm a 20+ year patron of Sitar. Oh, and if I may suggest a dish, order Chicken Kashmiri and
Onion Naan. Mmmmmmmmmmmm!!!

I was very lucky to come across this gem in downtown Charleston. The food is excellent and the staff are very friendly. They have an excellent buffet that has been pared down a bit post covid but I am hoping they bring back the full buffet soon. Highly recommend them for lunch or dinner!

Sitar of India is a very friendly environment and the food is always great. The Singh family has a staple establishment of downtown Charleston, which provides a wealth of happiness and full tummys.

One of the best Indian food restaurants in Us let alone in Charleston wv. If you're traveling to Charleston i would recommend coming trying this food its one of the best cuisines you'll ever get. 5 stars. Owners are wonderful and will go above and beyond if needed. Will order again.

Fantastic food and service. We were greeted promptly and the food at the buffet was great. I really enjoyed the Vegetable Korma and the price was very reasonable for the quality and service. I will definitely be back.
