Stayed here for just one night on a long road trip. The man at the front desk was very friendly and accommodating. Our room was clean and has everything we needed for the night. And as many other people mention, the view of the river and trees in the morning was so lovely. An excellent stay at this price point, no complaints!

We stopped in late while traveling. The room was very affordable and clean. It had everything we needed and the view of the river was lovely. Would stay again.

Clean rooms, conveniently located near the I 64 this place sits on the river in a dramatic way for an mom and pop motor court.

Host was great. Late one night I was amending my itinerary and clicked on my reservation for the hotel for the wrong night. It was past the refund window but he honored the change, only charging me for one night.

I have stayed here numerous times and loved it. The pricing is awesome for quick stay or long stay. The staff is always available if you need them. The rooms was very clean, plus they give you a shampoo i loved but couldn't find anymore so i was so pleased ( even got them to give me couple extra). There is a great view of the river if you get a room on the backside, but if your like me i like watching traffic lol so i get front side smoking room yes they offer smoking rooms can't find that anywhere anymore. They clean the carpet when you check out so the room does not even smell like a smoking room. Great pizza place next door. If your coming thru Charleston, or even staying a few days and want clean room great price The budget is the place to go.

Affordable and quiet motel. Room was clean and we got a room with the river view so don't hear the road traffic out front. Very friendly person at the desk as well! We will definitely stay here again.

Clean, quiet and comfortable in a convenient location with a beautiful view of the mountains and the river. Nothing fancy but beds were comfortable and the room had a nice sized refrigerator and microwave. Gracious host, I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Me and my wife had to come to Charleston. Our aunt was in the hospital. We found this place on Expedia and it was perfect. The location was convenient for everywhere. The price was excellent. Have a river front view. The owners were so nice the food was great Wi-Fi river walks, nice hot showers room service could not have asked for a better place to stay and Mike the owner went out of his way to make us happy And feel at home would recommend this place to anyone enjoyed it so much I’m going to stay two extra days just to visit Charleston if we ever get back this way and we will this is where we will stay thumbs up

Let me first say that I have stayed here SEVERAL times since 5/31/22. I’ve stayed in 4 different rooms and my last review was NOT a good review. (I tell things the way they are). But the things I dealt with that ONE time is NOT how it has been the several other times that I stayed. I’ve had to have a place to stay because my son has been in a hospital here in Charleston since 5/31. I needed an affordable place to stay because I’ve been out of work for 4 years with a work injury. They were always fair to me and allowed me to add nights as I needed to. The rooms are clean (with the exception of the one time) the beds are comfortable, the showers are good and the cable TV has more channels than some of the higher priced hotels. The rooms are not fancy but they serve the purpose they are needed for. One of the things that I’ve appreciated that I haven’t gotten in a more expensive hotel is that the rooms have freezers in their refrigerators (or at least the rooms I had). And when you’re sitting in the hospital for 10 hours a day I was able to have ice packs to keep my drinks cold.

Clean comfortable rooms with a beautiful view of the river and the hills beyond. The place is run by a very welcoming and sympathetic family. There is also a pizzeria next door which serves delicious affordable food. Great place to stop when travelling through Charleston.

Beautiful view of the river, and the proprietor is very accommodating. Rooms have fridge and microwave. Not a fancy place, but it's affordable and comfortable.

This is an older property but everything was top notch. Clean, neat, good A/C, shower, comfortable bed. Even a nice easy chair in the room along with Refrigerator and Microwave. The backside of Motel overlooks the River and is a great view with benches there for contemplating! Makes me wish I was staying more than 1 night.

We stayed here for 5 nights, and the service was great. Very nice, accommodating staff, rooms are nice and clean. I would highly recommend this place. It is an older building, but very well cared for. The bedding is stripped daily, including the comforter, and replaced. I would stay here again! We truly enjoyed ourselves.

This place was clean, the refrigerator, microwave and TV were excellent! The shower/tub and bathroom was beautiful. We enjoyed our stay here.
We would’ve stayed longer if the price hadn’t been so high. Owner is super nice and seemed disappointed that we were leaving. 5 stars!!

I enjoyed my stay here immensely! The owners were very nice, the room was very clean and comfortable and quiet. Had a view of the river. The bed was very comfortable and clean and the pillows were clean and comfortable and there just isn't one thing to complain about. I will stay here every time I come to Charleston!

Perfect older motel. Very nicely maintained. New looking sparkly clean bathroom. Huge clean, comfy king size bed. We were so pleasantly surprised. Smelled clean. Nice parking lot area. Our room was on the backside with beautiful views of the river. Very scenic! Don't miss this clean motel if you want a great stop over.

Don't judge a book by its cover, or an inn by its seemingly dated exterior! I am pleasantly surprised to see how nice the rooms are. The bathrooms are lovely and well-maintained. The rooms look and smell pleasant. Interior decor is very nice for this price. Bed is comfortable and clean. I'm overall very pleased! Can't get any better for the price!

This was the view from a lovely deck and bench the hotel has for guests enjoyment. It was exceptionally clean (two of our party were previously maids so we were very happy with the cleanliness). What a lovely little spot to spend a few days. We had three rooms, and were there for a family day with my sons job. We were there for a few days and we really enjoyed our time there. the manager kept a sharp eye out for trash in the parking lot and this reflected on the grounds as they were just beautiful. they had flowers, a beautiful garden in the back yard, nicely trimmed grass, and a beautiful view of the river. At night the lights from the bridges and river are so pretty, and during the day, fishing boats came and went along the river. We definitely will be coming back to stay here. The managers were very kind and next door to the motel is a little restaurant and the seven of us had pizza that first night, making it a very nice convenience after traveling so far. We are from IN, and NC, and three families were involved and all three of us really appreciated such clean nice rooms, where ac worked, tv worked, frige and micro worked; we prepared some meals in our room and that was nice as these appliances were all clean and worked properly. The linens the maid delivered each morning smelled fresh and clean and we really enjoyed our stay there. Great job managers!!!!

Very pleasantly surprised by the value. room is spotless, comfortable, no bad smells or stains. Has mini fridge and microwave and even a view of river. Not fancy but better than the average basic low cost motel!

This place has just been remodeled so it was very clean and tidy when we arrived. There is a beautiful view on the backside of the Kanawha River. You could fish from the bank and there's benches if you want to do just that. Just be aware that it will cost you an extra $5. There is no breakfast service but the do have coffee in the mornings. The owner is pleasant and he lives on site in case there's an emergency. I would stay here again and highly recommend it. Plus, it's 4 miles from downtown and close to many restaurants and gas stations.
