Nancy recently sold 1311 North Dakota for my wife and me. It is a 4 unit investment property. We interviewed 4 different agents and chose Nancy because she did a thorough job of analyzing the property even before we selected her as our agent. After we selected her things moved very quickly. She developed additional analysis that she could use to help potential buyers understand the potential of the property. She presented us with very helpful information and guidance but then allowed us to make final decisions based on that guidance. Since we are remote she helped out by communicating as necessary with tenants to facilitate showing. We received multiple offers and she provided helpful analysis and insight as we made our decision.

After months and months of working with another realtor and little success, we changed to Nancy, who we met during an open house. In the few minutes we spoke with her she educated us more on buying a house than our realtor had in months and we had remembered this months later when we were at our wit's end trying to navigate the crazy market. As soon as we made the switch we were educated on the market and immediately knew we had made the right decision. Nancy helped us win our first bid with her (after multiple failed attempts with our previous agent!) and remained extremely helpful during each step of the closing process. When we went to move in, the previous owners/their real estate agent failed to have the lawn properly mowed (it was knee-deep) so Nancy worked with the selling agent to secure a mower. The mower the selling agent hired did a terrible job so Nancy showed up to our new home at 5:00 pm on closing day with her personal bagged mower and weedwhacker and re-mowed and detailed our lawn by herself- and it looked amazing! Never in a million years would our previous realtor have done this and the selling agent didn't seem to care about this either. She is simply the best in the area and you will not find a better, more educated, more experienced, and caring realtor than Nancy. I will always recommend her and always utilize her for all realtor needs.

We really enjoyed working with Nancy when buying our first home. She has a wealth of knowledge about the local area, and about home renovation, repair, and maintenance. She was willing to spend a fair amount of time explaining the process and making sure we found a home that was a good fit for our needs. She's also extremely responsive and reached out to us as soon as a home was posted that might meet our criteria. We would definitely recommend her to others.

I highly recommend working with Nancy whether you selling your home or looking to buy a new home in the area. Nancy is great to work with. She’s a local Ames resident and knows the area very well. Her property knowledge goes beyond buying/selling real estate, she’s also a property owner. When helping us decide on buying a “fixer-upper” her knowledge and experience was very helpful as we discussed the pros and cons of the properties we were interested in.

Nancy was great in helping us to buy the house. She is knowledgeable, caring and also very detail oriented. She really knows about the area and all the houses she showed. Nancy was invaluable in our home search and purchase. As first time home buyers, completely new to Iowa, we were so grateful for all of her expertise on the market, the process, home upkeep and maintenance and repairs...really the list is endless. And then after we purchased the house, her recommendations of local professionals to work with for renovations were spot on. If we hadn't trusted her and her knowledge, we probably would still be renting. I would say, if you are not interested in advice and hearing her honest opinion on the pros and cons of different homes, then you might not have as great an experience. For us, she was perfect.
