Holy Virgin Cathedral

The visit to view the iconography of Orthodoxy and to venerate the relics of St. John the Wonderworker, also known as St. John of Shanghai and San Francisco brought me to tears. Intercede on our behalf through your prayers for us St. John!

Very ornate and elaborately decorate Russian orthodox church. The interior is also as impressive as the exterior with very colorful wall paintings covering the entire interior from floor to ceiling. Although this is not a touristy place and not much around it, this church alone is well worth a visit. When we visit in Aug 2021, the interior of the central onion dome was under renovation, but even with all the scaffolding, it's still impressive. We'd love to see it when the renovation is complete.

The most stunning cathedral I’ve ever seen. A very inviting and welcoming community, venerating the relics of St. John Maximovitch was an incredible moment every person should experience for themselves.

Real orthodox church, relax, calm and quiet atmosphere, for me it's the perfect place for meditation, to concentrated conversation with the God, I can seat here for hours and think about everything, talk to God and clean my mind from any garbage which coming from the world

Beautiful church. It has the relics of St John of Shanghai, a great Orthodox Saint.

This is an amazing church... the walls are covered in beautiful murals, the singing on saturday evenings, Sunday mornings, and on the eve and day of holidays is spectacular. It is in essence the reason and the feeling of why Vladimir chose to baptise Russia Orthodox; an out of this world experience for Soul, Mind, and Body.

Beautiful Orthodox cathedral that houses the relics of St. John Maximovitch. Services are held on most days and there is usually a liturgy in English followed by one in slavonic. Right next door there is also a church bookstore with a great stock of books, icons and more.

Went last night to put holy water on eggs. Was very nice!

My favorite church in America. Always beautiful Easter service.
