Silver Lake Chinese Restaurant

They had a new waitress that took us in at 8 pm and we didn't realize they were closed. The nice lady still took our order and was super kind enough to keep the place open. Unfortunately due to some family emergency, my husband had to leave and pick up his mother and I was left there, the lady that took our order, I think she was the owner herself, she made me feel comfortable and when I had asked if I could pay now and take the food to go, she was EXTREMELY kind to help me pack up and get checked out. She kept apologizing like it was her fault she was TOO kind. We will be back soon during restaurant hours.

10 out of 10 would highly recommend!! Keep in mind I have only uber eats from here I couldn't imagine the magic that happens when you dine in! LoL! The Malaysian fried rice is amazing!! AMAZING!! Crab Rangoon are great I could list every food item and say great things but that will take to long. FANNNNTASTIC FOOD GO EAT ENJOY!!

The only reason im not rating the atmosphere is just because I havent dined in at this restaurant while ordering I can say this restaurant is very well kept. The food is great so close to home, affordable prices and pretty large portions. highly recommended the potstickers, crab rangoon, and the general tao chicken.

Everything was great, some of the best Chinese food in the area and reasonably priced.

Wow...what a nice surprise for a little restaurant tucked away in suburban a strip mall. The empress tofu was the crowd favorite for sure. Biggest selection of vegan options on the menu at affordable prices. Thank you!

My Go-To for the Best Chinese Food! I almost exclusively order online and get it delivered. Very convenient! I especially Love the Yang Chow Wonton Soup, the Fine Cut Pork Chop Suey, the Spicy Fried Rice and now you can get it all with Brown Rice. Also, I have been on a Mushroom kick and I can add Mushrooms to everything! I order in bulk and use for lunch and dinner over multiple days. Delicious!!

This is our go to Chinese food restaurant for many years. My wife and I work from home on Fridays so this has become our normal Friday lunch date (take out). I highly recommend the Mongolian beef.

Generous portions. I have never dined-in but rather picked up for take out about a dozen times over the past five years. The service is always very good and fast. Food is always complemented with soy sauce and plenty of spicy red sauce upon request.

Excellent food. Decent prices. I had the Singapore style noodles (with shrimp! ).

1/22/23 - 5 of us ate here today & LOVED all the appetizers & meals. So fresh & delicious with generous portions. Friendly & accommodating service. Decent & comfortable dining room. Clean restrooms. Very hard to find an authentic Chinese restaurant like this these days.

We brought my inlaws to the restaurant yesterday. The food was very delicious & plentiful. The service was impeccable & accommodating. I asked for chicken subgum & they made it for me even though it wasn't on the menu. All five of us had something different & all want to return. We are so happy as it has been difficult to find a good Chinese restaurant since the pandemic. We had eaten here once before & found the food to have too much sodium for us so we requested lower sodium. It was perfect!

First time experience:

Placed order (to go) in the restaurant, after 12-15 minutes it was ready.
Inside little bit outdated with traditional chinese "decor", not busy at 7:30 pm.
Mongolian Delight Large size for 17.50$
Main dish packed very good in plactic bag (so the sauce will not spill all over the paper bag), white rice with no chlorine smell, two fortune cookies, utensils and soy sauce, no napkins.
Brown sauce very good, pieces of meat flavorful and tender, onions crispy and juicy. It's a big portion, ate just half. Will come back and try other specials.

I moved to gatlinburg tennessee in 2020. I still drive back to silverlake for sesame chicken. I order 8 large orders and take them home and freeze them. Best chinese food in 620 miles from there to silverlake.

Our favorite Chinese food place for quite some time. Food is consistently good and always right on time. Great folks wait on you also.

Ordered food for New Year’s Eve. Food took a little bit longer to prepare which I think is very understandable. The lady working front end was super sweet, and totally tried to get everyone out the door quickly. The food was excellent and I’m really thankful. Thank you guys for working so hard and have a great new year :).

We love silver lake and visit regularly. The restaurant itself is a little basic, but that's more than made up for by the excellent food!

Particular highlights are the sweet & sour chicken, the garlic & black pepper Lo Mein and the pot stickers.

If you haven't tried this place yet, make sure you do!

Very good food and convenient location. We mostly do take out so i cannot comment on the service when you eat in but when i come in to pick up my food they are always very nice.

This is my families favorite place for Chinese food. We have tried others but nothing compares to them. It is even better at the restaurant. The deliver and are always on time. Excellent food!!!

I'm new to the area. My friend told me about Silver Lake so I tried it. I was VERY pleased. The homemade sauce that comes with the crab Rangoon is the best I've ever had. The Hunan beef is my go to. The veggies are pleanty and delish.

Love Silver Lake Chinese Restaurant! I visit the Bartlett location often! Love the atmosphere and the service is great! Tonight I’m ordering takeout! And of course the food is always amazing!
