Robert was/is an amazing and responsive facilitator of a complex home purchase situation. He responds immediately (which is important when submitting loan qualification documentation), is a solid researcher, and has access to a marketplace of policies so I knew I was getting the best rate.

Robert’s bedside manner is particularly honed in a way that I appreciate as a business owner/empty nester. Meaning I’ve got life experience under my belt, but also a need for someone to help lead the way in an area I’m not a pro at. As a transplant from out of state (Colorado) who has loved my insurance agent for 10+ years, I’m grateful he was referred to me by a trusted colleague and friend.

I have truly never been more disappointed with any service, than the service I received with Robert Petrillo. As an agency owner, unfortunately there is not really anyone I can talk to about this situation so I have decided to take it to Google Reviews to warn others.

It is partly my own fault for prefacing our conversation during quoting with how little knowledge I have about car insurance, because he definitely took that as a green light to take advantage of me. During quoting he seemed great, was very friendly, and got me a seemingly good rate.. once I made the switch and was locked in, all of that quickly changed. After two weeks my premiums (car and renters insurance) continued to jump, and other additional fees continued to be added to my bill (my bill went from $180s to nearly $300). He could never give me a good reason as to why this was, all I can figured is that he put me into a mileage based plan through progressive knowing I drive over 30,000 miles per year (I heavily emphasized this during quoting). I insisted I was not happy with what was happening and that progressive was not going to be a good fit, he told me he’d run a new quote and get back to me Monday (since it was Friday) he never contacted me so I decided screw this I’m switching agencies. I got a great rate elsewhere with amazing service, so of course I reached out to to him to cancel. At first he wanted to retain my business but I kindly told him I was not interested. He continued to insist and I simply chose not to respond and call the number he provided me to officially cancel my policy. During my cancellation call he must have received some kind of notice, and took it upon himself to send me snarky sarcastic text messages and emojis. I deem this completely unprofessional. I would hate to see another young women get taken advantage and treated the way I was. I highly suggest taking your business elsewhere.
