Rojo Mexican Bistro - Birmingham

Had a small issue with my Amigos reward card, which is the best loyalty program around, Josh at this location went above and beyond to help me. The food is consistently good. The margaritas with all natural ingredients are superior to most any other chains sour mix based ones. Highly recommend

Very much worth the visit. Good prices and service is almost always great. Have had less than outstanding service, but usually very good service or better. Fun atmosphere and lots of TV's showing sports. Rarely has a wait, but do call ahead. Great chips and salsa. Get the table side guacamole. Parking in the evening is usually available in the structure just around the corner. During the day that particular parking structure can be full.

Dining alone at the bar I had very professional and attentive service. Carly was the bartender this evening she served me a beer and my evening meal. She was kind gracious and very attentive having been in the hospitality industry for years I found her to be refreshing and an inspiration. The food good and the conversation certainly helped make the evening enjoyable.

It's good mexican American food and the prices are good. They have great drink specials and the service is usually pretty spot on. Can't go wrong as a lunch option on a work day. Taco Tuesday is the best though, make sure you go!

The scenery was amazing. The food was so good. The area was beautiful. if you looking for something to try. The shrimp Diablo is the best. The waiter was good host. Will eat there again in the future

LOVE Rojo! It's in a great space, and they just so happen to have my favorite tacos in metro Detroit: the two stories. (Plus, you get a free entree on your birthday and awesome offers on Taco Tuesday.)

My family visited Rojo a few months ago, and I cannot say enough positive things about our experience. I worked with Tina, who personally served our table, about a week before we arrived to plan this event. She helped arrange a "gender reveal" of my second child to my parents by having the live musician (unfortunately I don't recall his name, but he was great) sing an original on-the-spot song to my mother to reveal what I am expecting! She also arranged for a newborn onesie to be placed on my mother's plate (it looked like it was a tortilla!) when we were served our food to complete the experience. The food was great, the tableside-prepared guacamole was wonderful, and the atmosphere was comfortable, fun and relaxing. It was overall such a special time, filled with happiness and tears, which our family will remember with fondness. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone!

Rojo is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants. I was bummed when the ones on my side of town closed down. I personally like the location and haven't had a bad meal here. Table side guac is a must, love the flour tortillas that come with it. The basic chips and salsa that appear at your table when you arrive are also delicious. My meal of choice is definitely the Rojo ribeye - Carne Asada. Fajitas, enchilada, chimichanga, etc... All been good. If you have a designated driver or plan on getting a Lyft, go for a jumbo frozen mango margarita. Great tequila selection as well.

Great food. Wonderful service and ambience. The tacos menu is very diverse and includes something for everyone's taste. Daily lunch specials are reasonably priced.

I absolutely miss working for mr linnen. Excellent boss he is, and his son was a cool guy. They closed down the st Clair Shores one and the partridge creek location which was the one I worked at . I really hope they could open up another one close to me because I live in the shores . I miss also all the staff I worked with . They were all such excellent and cool people . Hopefully they can open up another restaurant . I’ve always loved rojo food . You did an excellent job mr. Linnen.

Eddie is a fabulous server. He takes great care of the table and goes above and beyond! I will definitely be coming back and requesting him!

Excellent food! Excellent service! Excellent location! Parking is RARELY the easiest thing to manage in Downtown Birmingham, but so what 😂😂😂... You can NOT go wrong by choosing this place for Mexican food 👍👍👍

Love love love Rojo!! This location is my favorite especially when it is warm outside they have outside seating in downtown Birmingham and they have GREAT MARGARITAS!! We have also NEVER had bad service!

Good ambiance and good for groups as well.

The service is fast at lunch, the taco Tuesday special is a great deal and my favorite dinner is enchiladas verde.

Great service, awesome bar with tons of tequila options and knowledgeable bartenders, and delicious table-side guacamole.
