A very nice shop full of interesting pieces from Japan. We stop in a few times a year and have picked up some lovely items including some beautiful pottery, small decorative items, and a gorgeous 3-piece tansu that sits proudly in our entry and almost invariably gets compliments from any visitors.

Lots of variety (from chopsticks to large furniture pieces). The prices are reasonable and if you get a chance to speak with Jan, she is very knowledgeable about the pieces. Definitely worth a visit!

My daughters and I always visit this fascinating store whenever we are in Coupeville. Jan is just wonderful and a wealth of expertise. I always find a treasure and have a standing wish list!

This is an extraordinary shop selling Japanes items....it is on par with any store I've ever visited in San Francisco or Seattle...the feeling you get is that you have happened on a Museum shop...incredible items not to be missed...

Nice store with interesting items for sale. The reviewer L Roy below is mad because they were asked to move away from blocking the store entrance? Maybe shouldn’t have been blocking the store entrance.

Beautiful vintage items and a very kind shop owner!

We were looking forward to shopping here but the owner or employee was extremely rude to our group. We got some ice cream from next door and decided to sit on the steps and stand on the landing outside the shop to finish our ice cream before entering the store. There are two sets of stairs into this business, so we were not blocking the entrance or exit. While we were eating our ice cream, a lady came out and said “Really?” We were confused because we weren’t sure if she was upset or trying to make conversation. She then said in a very rude tone “Do you mind?” That’s when we figured out she was mad that we were outside her store. We apologized but she adbruptly turned around and went back into the store. We would have gladly relocated if she had been polite and explained her concerns. Needless to say, we no longer felt like shopping in her store.
