What an amazing place. My partner and her family stayed in Wilmington a little ways from the resort over the winter.
This was my first time skiing/snowboarding and actually seeing snow in general (I’m a Florida man). I couldn’t have wished for a better place to go. The slopes were perfectly groomed and the terrain parks they had were awesome. The mountains in the distance was a view to die for. The main lodge was clean and tidy and the staff were friendly and caring. Everything seemed to go very smoothly. The weather while we were up there was absolutely beautiful. 10/10 I will definitely visit whiteface again for another amazing ski trip.

We are repeat guests of The Whiteface Lodge and are looking forward to our return there next week! I had an issue with my reservation and the front desk manager, Fara, resolved it over the phone quickly and was super friendly. At our past visits, every staff person we've encountered has been wonderful. The food at the restaurants is always tasty and the surroundings are so cozy and beautiful. My kids love coming for the movie theater, the game room, the ice skating rink, the indoor/outdoor pool and more. This place is truly unique. We can't wait to be back!

Stayed here for a week and it was awesome. Short 10 min drive from the main town. Not far from Lake Placid either. Has a theater, outdoor hot tub, bowling alley, game room, two restaurants and plenty of grounds to peruse. Rooms are very nice and service is awesome. Loved it!

Beautiful, high end vacation resort / lodge in Lake Placid, NY. We didn't stay here, but did get to see some rooms and a suite while attending a wedding. This place is absolutely beautiful, with a warm log cabin feel complete with all the amenities. Everything is covered or supported by strong solid wood logs, pine paneling, granite countertops, leather, stone, etc. it's a beautiful place. They have an outdoor spa, ice rink, underground tunnel between buildings, nice game room, pool, etc. The decorations include large chandeliers with antlers, wooden canoes, etc. Everyone was very accommodating and polite. They bring out chopped wood for fire pits and fire places.

I give them 10 stars!! We originally went to Lake Placid Lodge and they were pretty stuffy and rude so we decided to come here. Best choice ever! The rooms were amazing, the ambiance of the entire lodge was top notch. The staff were all super friendly from the valet to the bar staff to the front desk to the guy popping popcorn. The game room and bowling room were awesome and the heated pool and hot tub were an extra bonus on a chilly evening breaking its first snow. Highly recommend!

Blew away every single high expectation we had coming in. I cannot begin to count the number of times we said "this place is AMAZING" during our stay. I had to post this review the same day we returned. Just go!

Our jaws dropped when we got into our suite. It was more like moving into our new Adirondack condo than a hotel room. We called it our new home and joked they would have to evict us before we left voluntarily. First of all, and most importantly, it was immaculately clean. Next on the list of important items, the two-person jetted tub, which as the primary driver of booking the Deluxe one-bedroom suite, was FANTASTIC!! The suite was spacious, comfortable, appointed to every last detail (dish soap, washing machine, wine glasses, plates, cookware, microwave, big fridge and freezer, corkscrew, can opener, etc.). The blankets on the bed had various levels of heaviness and were very comfortable. The porch was wonderful and well-appointed.

The pool area -- of very high importance to us -- was wonderful. Three jetted hot tubs, all at great, HOT temperatures, two of which were outdoors, and one of which was indoors. The pool itself, which is said to be heated, should have been a little warmer during this end-of-winter time, but was satisfying nonetheless.

The bowling alley was a special part of our time at the lodge. Plentiful bowling shoes and balls, the machine re-racked the pins perfectly each time, and since there were only two lanes and no one was using the other lane, we enjoyed the private bowling experience.

The game room was great, with air hockey, foosball, billiards, ping pong, board games, and more.

We enjoyed the fire pits in the evening and the s'mores supplies.

We toured the spa, which was extremely clean and well-appointed.

One of the many things I really liked about this place is they don't nickel and dime you. Once you're their guest, you get everything (except, of course, services like massages that would of course come with an extra fee anywhere else). The value for the considerable amount you pay per night is absolutely there.

We brought our own food -- which we were able to enjoy thanks to the well-appointed kitchen and dining area in the suite -- primarily because we researched in advance and sadly saw the many mediocre reviews of the main restaurant, Kanu. This is one area where the lodge could really improve. We did the complimentary breakfast - pancakes were fine, "local Adirondack syrup" didn't taste as such, and scrambled eggs were atrocious. Nevertheless, I want to emphasize that all of this had basically no effect on our stay because we brought our own food. I would suggest to keep checking the reviews to see if things change on this front and to bring your own food or seek out restaurants in the Lake Placid area.

The staff were amazing from start to finish. You can see there is a culture of great customer service, and the staff appear passionate about what they do. Thomas greeted me upon check-in and offered a warm welcome and orientation to the layout and activities. Two young women on staff yesterday evening (3/26) were both very warm and helped us access the bowling alley. The staff in the restaurant at breakfast gave us an exuberant welcome and took great care of us.

In a day and age when even properties marketed as "luxury" aren't properly cared for, and where customers often feel they're squeezed for every last drop of coin at various points during their stays, it's refreshing and wonderful to be able to go to a place where you feel the management gives things everything they've got and want you to have the best time you possibly can. We simply cannot wait to return to the Whiteface Lodge and feel fortunate a special place like this exists only a little over two hours away from our residence in the Albany, NY area. Although we were able to take advantage of favorable off-season rates, we wish we could come back during the summer when there's even more to do!

Fantastic Lodge. Excellent value. This place is Rustic luxury at its purest form. Really lovely touches with a rustic, outdoors cabin vibe. Pool and hottub area were fantastic.

I cannot say enough good things about this hotel! We stayed in the fall and the surrounding mountains were beautiful! We also came with a baby and the suite style room we had was just perfect to accommodate her. We loved all the on site amenities such as the tennis courts, canoe club, and year round pool. I also loved how it was not right in town so it feels more secluded and peaceful.

We LOVED our stay! We have 4 boys ages 3-12 and they all had a great time! From the heated pool to the bowling alley, game room, outdoor courts, fishing, and hike around the grounds! Breakfast was very nice. The spa was top notch. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Close to many attractions. We are already planning a return trip!!

A truly family friendly resort....

And the hotel breakfast that's included is not your typical Hilton Express Econo Lodge microwaved dog food..
...
From the French toast to the pancakes to the bacon sausage and pastries, everything is made fresh to order with the highest quality ingredients and endless real maple syrup!!!

My fiancé and I had an excellent stay here after our engagement! The location was excellent and I was very impressed with the amenities; the room itelf was beautiful, and we had an amazing view of the fountain and gardens outside. Their team did a great job prepping some surprises for me as part of the celebration. I can see this being an excellent place for families -- you could stay busy here all day with the fishing, tennis/pickleball courts, game room, etc. We would absolutely stay here again, and recommend it to others whole heartedly.

Stayed here for 5 nights. Beautiful property, super friendly staff. Best fitness room in any lodging I've visited.
It's not a budget resort; you pay top dollar, but get rewarded with a top notch facility.

Lovely resort in Lake Placid. Our suite and our outdoor "living room" were awesome.

The breakfast buffet was quite good and the bar area was lovely and we enjoyed our drinks in front of a fireplace.

We generally ate lunch or dinner in-town or while we were out and about - Simply Gormet is down the road from Whiteface and has over 40 different sandwiches along with 5 or 6 different soups and chili. We also ate at Black Bear, Caffe Rustico and The Pickled Pig, all very tasty and highly recommended.

The Whiteface property has indoor and outdoor hot tubs, lean-to's, outdoor fire pits, an indoor pool, a salon, a spa with various treatments, sauna, steam room and locker rooms with showers. There is a game room with air hockey, table football. There is a small movie theater. Would definitely come back.

Most of the photos are from our hiking at Ausable Chasm and one photo of enjoying a hot toddie in the Whiteface bar in front of one of their several fireplaces.

In general I like my experience here in the lodge.
The staff are friendly and helpful.
The place is nice and quiet.
The room is unique with the wood decorations and gorgeous view 😍
They have activities all the time during the day, also there is a shuttle bus take you to their private beach.

The room service need to improve, they should vacuum , wipe and change the bedsheet etc. Not only change the towels and changing the trash bags.
For the breakfast , I think if they add some fresh vegetables that would be awesome, also they provide hot water and coffee all the day near the restaurant.
My experience overall is good , feels like home 🫶

The review is for the Spa. Booked couples massages and this was by far the best massage I've ever had. All the staff were super friendly and great. The sanctuary areas were very clean, cozy and well kept. Would highly recommend the Spa here.

It was an extraordinary experience at Whiteface Lodge! The clubhouse room we stayed in was very clean, warm, and decorative, and every corner of the lodge was very pleasing. We really liked the warm outdoor swimming pool and hot tub! Amazing winter experience! Love breakfast. The atmosphere for the breakfast area was very charming and refreshing! Every moment of staying at the lodge was awesome!
