Absolute favorite record shop in Cincinnati. Incredible selection of vinyl, CDs, tapes, DVDs, VHS, t-shirts and books. Always find what I'm looking for and sometimes stuff I didn't even realize I needed. Always beyond happy with my purchases and the staff here is outstanding. Cannot recommend this place enough!

Great selection of new and used vinyl spanning a wide variety of genres. The used book section in the back is worth checking out too. We scored some really great finds here and will definitely visit again when we are in Cincinnati!

I’ve been to every record store in Cincinnati and this place is definitely my favorite. I’m selective about the records I buy and there are many great finds here. Fantastic international selection (big fan of the kraut-rock), funk, and new wave. Even the rare titles had decent prices. They have a great DVD/VHS selection here, don’t miss it if you like cult films! Awesome T-shirts and cassette collection too. There’s really something for everyone. Can’t wait to see what they have next, I’m hoping to stop here regularly now. Staff is also friendly and helpful. Don’t pass this place up!

Such a great vibe in here— I always leave with something. They have a killer used selection with great prices. They have a lot of great foreign/international music as well which is always so much fun to dig through. It’s personally my favorite record store in Cincinnati

Best records, best books, best tapes, on and on. Owners/employees are the chillest and have steered me towards all manner of hidden and overlooked gems. The quality of my life and the character of this city are immeasurably better because this place, and the people in it, exist

Excellent record shop! My son and I ALWAYS find a treasure that is priced fairly.
Recently the staff alerted us to a recent collection of used CDs that was purchased by the shop.
We have found many gems, including a "Mac and Me" VHS tape in very good condition. My son loves this movie because it is horrible.

Anytime I go to Cincinnati this is one of the required stops. It's one of, if not the best, record store in Cincinnati. They carry just about anything cool you could hope to listen to and always have fresh finds and releases. They have a very well curated movie section too that is always stacked with the good stuff. So if you want to go to a record store where they actually care about what they do and pride themselves on having quality stuff, then hit them up.

Great selection of classics and more niche stuff you didn’t even know you wanted. Helpful and friendly staff. Great spot for books as well! Best record store around.

Fantastic independent record store! I was looking for jazz mostly, they had a large selection of preowned jazz as well as every other style of music. Prices were very reasonable. All of the pre owned and vinrage records I looked at were in excellent condition. Wide range of artists and styles. Would highly recommend stopping. Staff helpful and friendly. Also free off street parking available.

I frequent Torn Light often. They have a fantastic selection of records, books and movies. I always find something every visit. I've always had a great experience and been greeted by an excellent an helpful staff. If you're in Cincinnati do yourself a favor and stop by Torn Light. You won't be disappointed.

Finally made a stop in while traveling through the area. Hands down one of the best record spots in the USA for anything from the classics to niche music — both new and used things available across the board. I only had 30 minutes to browse, but it was not hard to walk out with a bag of good LPs and CDs. Talked to the owners for a bit and they turned me onto some good things as well. Highly recommended.

Awesome record store! Has a good mix of contemporary and older music. Very large collection of noise and metal stuff. There’s also a bunch of unsorted boxes of CDs/tapes under the racks so I’d recommend coming if you have a lot of time or you’re a crate digger.

BUT WAIT, I’ve got a more targeted question for you! Do you like a stacked ‘n’ stuff book selection that puts a lot of book stores to shame and a CD selection that will convince you that all those rumors you heard about CDs lately are absolutely TRUE?! BETTER NEWS: Torn Light is STILL the spot. Now that CD fiends are allowed out in public again and book readers are perceived as *HOT*, they can meet up with everybody else who wants a five-star media shopping experience at (you guessed it) Torn Light Records.

Excellent record store with an amazing assortment. The staff is super cool, the store is well organized and easy to navigate. I live almost 2 hours away and make the trip monthly just to dig. 10/10 highly recommend.

Simply the best to ever do it, but seriously, great selection, great prices, I spent way too much money near because there were simply too many things I couldn’t live without

Alex and Dan are the best dudes. The new spot in Clifton is great. Very open and plenty or room to browse. If you’re looking for outsider/ cult films I’m Cincinnati, don’t pass up Torn Light. They also have a massive selection of noise offerings from all over the globe, and their own label.

Favorite record store in Cincinnati and such a lovely addition to the Clifton/Gaslight area. Staff is super friendly & helpful! As a fan of VHS, Vinyl & Horror- this spot can’t be beat! Grateful for Torn Light and if you haven’t checked them out yet, you will be too!

Cincinnati has no shortage of great records stores but don't sleep on Torn Light. Ever-changing selection that spans any and all genres. Massive jazz collection. Make sure you flip through the new releases or you'll miss out on some gems. Dan and Alex are super cool and will help you track down what you're looking for.

Such a rad store! Alex and Dan have a really unique store filled with gems from records, tapes to books and exceptionally curated blu rays shoutout Justin. Staff is very friendly and the store is clean and well organized. I find something amazing every time I stop in. Highly recommend stopping by

Pretty solid little place. Always some interesting stuff coming into the shop, was able to grab a couple small releases I'd never have heard of if not for them. Also was able to grab some blu-rays I had on my list to-get for a while at super reasonable prices. Staff is always super helpful and friendly, too.
