El Agave Mexican Restaurant

This is a relatively new restaurant at this location. It is already very popular, so prepare for a significant wait when you arrive. The service was fast and friendly. The restaurant was packed to capacity, so the wait time for food was very reasonable. The food was very good and plentiful. We sat outside and it was very pleasant! If you like Mexican food, this is a place worth visiting!

This was a pretty delicious place to eat. We hadn't been out this far before and we're actually happy that we traveled out here. I ordered the shrimp fajitas and my Husband ordered the taco salad, and we picked our plates entirely clean! I got a blue margarita fish bowl and it was absolutely delicious. I'd go back again and again!

Not to get confused with this location to other restaurants with similar names. This place is awesome! I came here on Saturday with my boyfriend, margaritas were amazing and our food came out really promptly and warm. Our server was extremely pleasant and helpful. Definitely will be coming back.

It was our first time there and everything about it was incredible. We walked right in and the restaurant was crowded. Thought we’d have a long wait and they seated the two of us immediately. the service was very fast. The food was delicious. It came out very hot And the waiter was very personable. Can hardly wait to go back for my next dinner or lunch and will take friends with us. Menu is incredible.

Bright and clean!!! Friendly staff!!! Lots of menu options, even vegan options!!! We were seated immediately, had our drink orders taken as we were served chips and salsa while we browsed the menu. Food arrived hot and fast. Staff was very attentive before, during and after.

I absolutely, positively love this place. It's a great family-owned restaurant. I used to have a "favorite", but started getting out of my comfort zone. Never been disappointed! Meals are totally reasonably priced, so are the drinks.

We thought everything was delicious. Service was prompt and attentive. I loved how much cheese they put on the Taco. The cheese quesadilla was also very cheesy with a great flavor. The chips were served warm and were also good. They had a Valpak coupon which we used, but they weren't accustomed to redeeming an App coupon (they prefer paper copies.)

Our favorite local place for Mexican food. Consistently great food and service. We've been going here for 10 years and the new location has a warm, inviting atmosphere.

I love elagave they are always so nice to us when we come in for dinner or lunch there food is amazing there fast paced there prices are awesome and if your ever craving a alcoholic beverage this is the place to stop at beautiful bar 🍸

I am a Mexican food fanatic, and I think El Agave has probably the best Mexican food in all of Saint Louis. We have dined in and ordered carry out many, many times without a single complaint.

I love their chips and salsa. The chips come out warm too. I've been to the new location 3 times and have tired something new each visit. All is great and I recommend stopping in.

My wife and I, both Californians and pretty picky about our Mexican food, didn't expect much finding good Mexican grub here. But, wow, were we pleasantly surprised!I went for the carne asada and al pastor tacos, both à la carte. They nailed it with both, especially with the pineapple in the al pastor – a nice touch! A bit of salsa or a lime wedge would have been the cherry on top, but still great.My wife tried the wet burrito, which was okay but not our cup of tea. It had this white cheese sauce that’s popular around here. Just a heads up, it might not be everyone's thing.We liked the place enough to come back a few days later with a local friend. Had tacos again, and they were just as good. Props to their chips and salsa too – really hit the spot. The restaurant's got plenty of space, it's clean, and the staff are on the ball. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area and craving some Mexican food.

I’ve tried a lot of Mexican restaurants in the St. Louis area and this is one of the best! Very busy but still great service. Also prices are very low compared to most restaurants.

Update: this has easily become my favorite Mexican restaurant in the area. I’ve tried the others and food taste and quality don’t compare to El Agave. Friendly staff and quick service 👍

Had a business lunch with three of my colleagues and we will be back. Food was fresh, staff was helpful and the place is clean and well kept. Highly recommended.
