Gelson's Pacific Beach

A wonderful grocery store. Well kept and maintained. Clean and organized with a wide selection of goods and products on the shelf. Friendly staff and very helpful with the directory of their products. Affordable within means. Their mini cafe has some delicious pastries. Recommended for those within the neighborhood.

Items are easy to find making it a pleasant experience. The produce is always fresh and presented well. This is my place when I want fresh fruits or vegetables.

The staff and of course fresh produce. The staff member in the produce area is always asking if I had any questions or need help. The cashier is always so delightful as well as the checkout helper. It's always a wonderful experience each time.

I recently had an exceptional experience at Gelson's in Bird Rock, near La Jolla. What made it truly outstanding was Sally, the manager, who went above and beyond to make our visit special. Remarkably, this isn't even Sally's store; she typically manages the one on Del Mar. Despite that, she was an absolute angel to me, especially since it was my first day grocery shopping after my surgery a week ago.

Sally's attentiveness, inclusivity, and her willingness to assist us, even at the very last closing minute, were nothing short of heartwarming. She exuded kindness, sweetness, and extraordinary patience throughout our interaction.

Beyond the exceptional service, Gelson's offers an impressive variety of high-quality foods that have consistently met my expectations. It's truly a gem of a grocery store that I wholeheartedly recommend.

Best produce, deli and grocery store in San Diego by far!. Love how they have different items than Wholefoods and Vons. Amazing selection. Cashiers are super friendly and fast.

I had 3 items and only one line was open with 2 people in it and they had 50 items. I asked the manager if he could just quickly get someone to check me out and he got someone to check me out quickly. I was pressed for time to get breakfast made for my kid that morning and I really appreciated the help! Thanks for starting my day off on the right foot Gelsons !!

The fresh Ahi! The extreme helpful folks in the Seafood Department at the Pacific Beach Gelson's. I love fresh fish. I wish the District folks would get back to them regarding the five different varieties of Poke in the salad area.

Friendly service, great music, and they carry my favorite beer: AleSmith Nut Brown Ale.
