Encinitas Ranch Golf Course

Course was absolutely stunning and in excellent condition. Pretty forgiving with open fairways on most holes. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice course to play in San Diego without paying Torrey rates. Paid $95 w/ a cart

A great course that is beautiful to play. Challenging but fair. I’d recommend an electric cart instead of walking if you have any medical conditions as the course has some elevation on certain holes and the back 9 is a bit of a walk.

In north San Diego up in Encinitas this course is on the easier side with wide open fairways that let you stay in bounds if you miss hit your drive but the greens can actually be a hit tough in an enjoyable way. Course was in great shape and they’ve got a great driving range as well as putting greens.

Hardest thing on this course is to get a good tee time because they have kept pricing reasonable even though their competitors in Orange County and San Diego doubled their pricing in the pandemic, which was a pleasant surprise. For a foursome, carts, 2 pairs of Travis Matthew shorts, it was still all under $400. Great value and price for such a nice course.

They even had ocean holes and sprawling views that were breathtakingly beautiful.

The course was in great shape. The front 9 had amazing views from high in the hills showing the mountains and ocean. Back 9 was challenging with hills and water hazards.

This was our first time golfing in So Cal. We stayed at a resort but couldn’t bite the bullet spending $600+ on a round. My wife mention Encinitas Ranch and we spent a fraction of the cost for the same “resort” style golf, in our opinion.

Everyone that worked at the course were friendly and helpful. My wife and I will definitely come back and play here

This golf course is one of my favorite. Not too challenging but not too easy.
So beautiful when I see the fairways at the tee box. Need some works for the hole greens.

Had the opportunity to play here not too long ago, this course is absolutely gorgeous nice and open too, the driving range is nice, the greens are very well maintained. The staff is always very friendly and welcoming. Recommend playing here if you love to golf.

FUN, chill vibe, well maintained, staff was super friendly. The flow was smooth ….Restrooms were in the perfect spots and clean 😀! You can order food and drinks from the cart. Driving range, putting area, and a great course! Wouldn’t change anything about it. 🫶

A very well kept course with some quite challenging fairways and incredible views of the Pacific ocean. Good pace of play, and the wind off the ocean provides a challenge on some of the tees. Bring a jacket if playing in the early morning or evening.

I was super impressed with the course conditions and the layout of the course. The staff was very helpful and courteous. I wish this were my home course.

Course is in great shape this winter and the pace of play is typically slow as the course is full of old men who think they are playing in a PGA tournament.

Nice course, nice staff, greens and green speed good. Keep the ball below the hole. Player friendly course, some very nice views as well.

Really enjoyed this course. Very open and forgiving, but still provides a great round of play. Views are beautiful. Grounds are well kept. Would definitely play again.

Beautiful course. It is well kept. For a person like me who is starting to take golf more seriously after playing only two years, it is a good place to try and perfect my game. Just need to keep pace.

A gem in the middle of north county, probably my favorite course. Buy a JC card it will help off set cost of playing in north county

My wife and I played ER on Tues., Mar. 28 and absolutely loved it! The condition of the course from tee to green was superb, the tee boxes well kept, the fairways in excellent condition (especially considering the recent rain with only a few wet ares which is to be expected), the greens were smooth and rolled just fine (as often is the case, it's hard to understand why golfers do not repair ball marks, especially on Par 3's, golfers should repair more than one as they wait for others to putt out). The elevated greens on numerous holes make the course longer than the yardage indicates, and the false fronts on a few offer real challenges. The practice area is large and the practice green replicates the greens on the course - smooth and fast. I just wish we had played ER more than once with the JC Player's Card. I can see why it has recently won a state award! Thanks for the experience! The two young guys we played with were just superb (Derrick and Elias - if you read this ... Thanks!)

Played here for the first time and I was very happy with the course management. It was nice to hit off some good grass. Staff was very nice as well. The course was a lot of fun with different elevations. I will definitely put this course into my top 10 for public courses to regularly play. It is a challenging course... use your driver wisely :)
