La Costa Canyon Park

Nice park. There is a lot more there, than it looks. There's a lot of depth to the park when you walk back. There's a tennis court that you walk up the steps to, a sand floored volleyball court, basketball court and kids playground area. Also there's a separate picnic area up the hill overlooking a beautiful view eventually seeing the ocean. Beautiful spot and a great day spot for families and younger people who like sports. There is a short cut beautiful Trail in the back, gravel paved, and more picnic tables.

What a fun, cute neighborhood park with so many perks! My son danced as I sang “The Wheels on the Bus” when he sat at the little bus stop station on the playground 😆 There isn’t a whole lot of sidewalk to ride bikes or scooters on at this park so your better bet is to take them to the green grassy park off Hataca Rd. The dirt trails connect these two parks together.

This was such a great find! Had lots of fun here, and they have bathrooms. There are tennis courts, a basketball court, plenty of bench tables, both covered and not, a playground, and a great view of the ocean. There's some paths to walk on but i didn't explore over there.

Great park with 2 tennis courts, volleyball, basketball, and a park for children. Perfect for the afternoon as its covered by shade from nearby trees. Restrooms available. Plently of parking spots and doesn't get as busy as other nearby parks.

This is a wonderful park with great climbing and slides for kids. They have a gated area for dogs, restrooms, basketball courts and tennis courts. Parking is easy.

This is a great little park with two playgrounds, swings, a basketball court and tennis courts, drinking fountains, public restrooms, and a fenced dog area. Great views to the San elijo lagoon as well. Highly recommend 😊

Great place for a kids bday party! Big playground right next to the picnic area, clean bathrooms nearby, and a great semi-fenced area for dogs to play!

Quiet, almost secret little gem in a small residential community. You wouldn’t know it, but there is a fantastic view of batiquitos lagoon and the ocean if you walk to the back of the park and then a cool trail in the easement above the canyon under the power lines. Basketball and tennis courts and a play area too. Tiny little park but worth the visit

We were looking for a basketball court and happened upon this park. It was great on a rainy day, not crowded. My dog was so excited to sniff around. I'm sure it would be a different story on a sunny day, but we enjoyed ourselves.

Bathrooms are close to play area! The location of the park is within a residential community which brings comfort and safety to the forefront of any parent's mind. The play area is within close proximity to each age group, so you are not scanning a wide range for all your children, it's a controlled environment.

Lovely park with a great canyon view and short trails. Oh and bathrooms. It did get busy later in the day as kids had basketball practice after school.

Really cool walking trails, nice and wide! Park has a fairly ok bathroom too.

Kinda of small hidden gem. The playground is hidden deep inside the neighborhood but it has a lot plays for different ages. It has public restrooms.
