Lane's Quickie Tacos

First time consumer at Lane's Quickie Tacos. From the moment I walked in I was impressed with how friendly Lane was. He introduced himself, as well as Brady and even took the time to ask my name. He then very patiently walked me through his entire menu. Home made tortillas were so soft and tasty. I tried 3 different tacos and they were all delicious. In fact I ordered one where I was a little hesitant on one of the toppings and Lane gave me a little sample first to assure me the flavors mix and mix very well, that one wound up being my favorite out of the 3 I tried. Upon leaving I said goodbye to both Lane and Brady, even though busy with other customers and Brady busy making tacos they both politely responded, thanked me for coming in as well wishing me a great remainder of the day. Beyond impressed and I will definitely return before I leave Fairbanks.

There is a charm to this place that no other restaurant in town can emulate. The guys that work there are fun, the food is great (I didn’t want much, I got one Texan. It was all I needed, and it was perfect). A little cramped on a rainy day, but I didn’t mind. Good work guys!

This place is a friendly place. It's warm inside. The owner himself is up front and personal. The food is fast. They also offer nachos. He moved here from San Antonio and wanted to create here the flavors he missed there. They offer beer, coke in bottles and they make their own tea and lemonade. It's probably the best rice and beans in all of Fairbanks and the tacos are memorable. Just wish I came in sooner.

Always yummy and served by the coolest, nicest, caring people in a super comfy atmosphere. Sooo gooooood, heck, GREAT on so many levels! They love their customers and it shows!... right through the tacos!!!

As someone who usually travels to Latin America and Mexico, I was surprised to find such a great taco place in Fairbanks. It’s not just about the food (which was suuuper good), it’s a lovely cozy place and the best customer service from the 2 guys in charge of the place. I’d recommend this place to everyone visiting town. By the way, we tried 5 different tacos and every one was tasty and prepared very quick!

Loved the place as soon as I opened the door. Small. Different. Delicious. Owner and employee were quite personable and friendly and the tacos were great. My wife especially liked the Texan. I ordered before I realized there was tortilla soup. I should have over-ate.

Very friendly staff and tidy restaurant. We had the barbacoa, the Texan, and the Merican. All were great, meats well seasoned and moist. In case you prefer corn tortillas, they use flour tortillas that taste amazing!

Lanes a cool cat and his tacos are amazeballs!! Genuinely down to earth and homey vibe. Every taco is crazy tasty. Excellent bang for your buck in homemade tortillas with smoked meats and freshly grown toppings.
All the tacos have fun names like the Merican and the Po Boy. Suggestion: taco name - express lane and maybe a fast lane taco. These tacos are under priced for all the flavor they deliver. The almost award winning soup was insanely tasty.

The tacos are delicious. The brisket is so smokey and flavorful. Lane is there making fresh tortillas and to walk you through the menu and assure you have good time and a great meal. Who knew great tex mex could be found in Alaska.

Quick lunch tacos 🌮, great place for a fast lunch close to campus, year around. The staff here is very friendly and make good food.

I have been a long time customer of Lanes since their starting days at the local farmers market. I can say that in all those years their quality of food and customer service has not dwindled a fraction of a hair. These are easily the best tacos in Fairbanks and some of the nicest people too. Right from walking in the front door you feel welcomed and appreciated by the staff. The atmosphere gives off a warm homey vibe that calms the soul. Out of all their tacos I highly recommend the Alaskan, the Merican, and the Texan, and remember. It’s ok to drink the foil.

Went after a local’s recommendation and the food was amazing!!! Super fresh and filling- the owner was so sweet and we chatted with him while we sat and enjoyed our food. Tortillas are hand made fresh! we would have 10/10 Gone back if we were in that neck of the woods again.

Hands down best street style tacos 🌮 I have ever had must try if you're in the area the "smoking hot chick" is great if you like some spicy kick, the po boy is great as well if you prefer sweet and smokey brisket literally cannot wait to bring my wife out here to try this place absolutely will come back

Lane's is so great! The have quick service with delicious, flavorful tacos. They have a lot of options for the meat eater and the vegetarian. It's great that you can come in any of the tacos for the $9 for 2 meal. I loved their in-house made hot sauce. Finally hot sauce with real flavor. Definitely going again!

This place is a hidden gem! Amazing tacos and they’re fast to you. From order to mouth was less than 5 minutes and the smoked brisket was one of the best I have had.

We were visiting from Eagle River, AK, for a couple of nights, and my husband found this place on google. The google pics (which looked super delicious) convinced us to give it a try and, since it was on our way to our hotel,  we figured we might as well; especially since we've tried different mexican restaurants in Eagle River and Anchorage and have been very disappointed (we havent found a place that has made us want to go back).
I dont know if the owner (Lane) considers his cooking to be Mexican or just Tex-Mex but, i can honestly say, these taste like AUTHENTIC Mexican tacos. I kinda feel ashamed that he can cook better Mexican food, than myself (im a 1st generation Mexican-American). I am originally from Houston, TX and moved to Eagle River about a year ago so ive been craving Mexican street tacos and these truly hit the spot.
I tried the Alaskan, Texan, 'Merican, and Dealio. I enjoyed all of them but, if I had to rate them from favorite to least favorite, it would be 'Merican, Dealio, Alaskan, and Texan. The only reason Texan was last is because I didnt like how all the beef juice destroyed my tortilla.
Lane does have salsa, in the restaurant (i ordered take-out and it wasnt included, unless they forgot or you have to ask for it??), that has good flavor but wasnt as spicy as im used to.
The place was a little hard to find, unless you know where to look. The best way to find it is to look for a floor sign, on the side of the road, that says "darn good tacos" with an arrow pointing towards Lane's. Parking is limited if the bar downstairs is full. Btw, dont let the amount of cars turn you away. I almost didnt go inside dreading it'd be a long wait for food; especially since I didnt realize Lane's shares parking with "The Marlin" (the bar downstairs from Lane's)
As for the owner, he seems very down-to-earth. He takes an interest in knowing his customers and he also shares a little about himself. He was kind enough to meet me on Christmas Eve (even though Lane's tacos was closed) to return my credit card, which I accidentally left there the previous night.
The only bad thing I can say about Lane's Quickie Tacos is that its located in Fairbanks (too far for me to enjoy from Eagle River).

Amazing tacos! Super friendly staff. I’ll be honest, I’m not generally a fan of smoked meats but Lane’s nailed it with delicious flavor combinations. If you’re in Fairbanks you should definitely check it out. You won’t be disappointed!

These tacos are a gift from beyond. They hit the spot every time. I’ve tried them all. The tacos are filling, tasty and quick! Lane you are doing the Lords work. Thank you 🫶🏽

Fast, delicious, and interesting flavors. With a random special taco, I definitely plan on coming back to see what other flavor combos there are.
