Dr. James W. McManaway III

Dr. McManaway is a delight. I am so happy I was referred to him by our pediatrician. We have been going to Dr. McManaway for about a year now. We live in Scranton, PA and travel 2 hours each way to see Dr. McManaway, but it is well worth the trip for the care that our daughter receives from Dr. McManaway and his staff. The office is spotless and geared toward his specialty of Pediatrics. My daughter feels at ease there. I would highly recommend Dr. McManaway to anyone with a child who requires specialized eye care.

Dr. McManaway has been my doctor since I was 3 years old and has performed multiple surgeries on me. To this day I can’t imagine seeing anyone else. He’s extremely friendly, very caring, and takes time to explain things to me and my parents. I gladly make the two hour trip to see him every year for checkups.

Dr. McManaway is the best. He makes my son feel very relaxed. He has on the cartoon channel in the room to allow kids to watch it while he does the exams. He is very thorough and lets me know every detail. I never feel rushed. Sometimes we have to wait a little longer, but in return he gives me the same time and treatments. I would deff recommend him to anyone.

Dr. McManaway has been treating my son for over fifteen years and has performed three delicate eye surgeries on him. He is always very friendly and thorough and takes time to answer our questions and address any concerns.

Both my preemie kids have gone to Dr. McManaway. In the 20 yrs. that we have been going to him, he and his staff have been nothing less than stellar. Absolutely an amazing and professional and caring doctor and staff. I highly recommend him.

Great practice...Dr. McManaway was great with our 10 month old daughter. He was very patient and gentle with her.

Best dr in Pennsylvania! Wish I could have him where we moved to in Texas. We really miss dr Mcmanaway so much!

The dr and staff are absolutely wonderful, accommodating, and understanding!

Terrible, terrible, terrible bed side manner. Does not know how to treat patients with respect once told my daughter she would never get a boyfriend. I even took him aside to ask him to maybe consider working on it but nope was terrible the whole time I went to him. Basically harassed my daughter and made her start having panick attacks.

One of the worst places my family has ever been to! The staff are very unprofessional and discuss patient information out loud and to other patients. Over herd one of the ladies complaining about a family that was running late to an appointment. Needless to say they lost us as a family. Don’t waste your time or money at this place.
