True North Church

Attended a growth conference here last week it was absolutely amazing. The Pastor is an amazing man of God!

I felt welcome on my first visit and have been attending regularly since. There are two venues, one on College Road and the other on Airport Way. Check them out - you won’t be disappointed.

Truly God's house. The best church I have been to in my 55 years.
UPDATE: We have now been attending worship here since 29 Nov 2020 and this church has changed our life completely. We went from disparity to blessed beyond our expectations The staff here are all amazing and teach the Gospel in a gripping and intense method that will draw you closer to God.

I love True North. I love listening to Pastor Mark. He’s funny and in no way boring. I’m really sad that I no longer live in Alaska and can’t attend in person, but I do watch it live on Sunday’s and really thankful for that. I’m still in the hunt for a new church, it’s gonna be a hard to replace this church.

Incredibly warm and welcoming church. You are greeted as soon as you walk in and people help guide you on where to go. There is childcare, multiple services, live-streaming of services, and a coffee cafe. The youth areas are done by age groups and are well maintained. I've really enjoyed my experience at the church and if you are looking for a place to attend, I'd give it a try.

I'm now living in Fairbanks 5 years, me and my husband, attended several churches, but failed to fit in, until for we decided just to stayed home and listen to several preachers online, but later on we felt and missed the fellowship of the believers, be connected again and share the talents, the Lord has given us, me and my husband talked again to try Fairbanks 1st AG Church, and true enough, when we entered the first time I felt like these people knows us, all of them are just greeting us "hello, how are you doing?", a gestures that we felt they know us and we belong there, then the worship is so wonderful, lead by the pastor's wife, and the pastor himself, just like what my husband said, "the pastor is human" he talk, he joke and make you feel he is not difference than members or attendees of the church. Just wonderful!
My husband and I are just grateful to God for leading us to this wonderful group of children of His!!!

Such a warm place with many friendly faces! Every time we come, we feel so welcomed. Pastor Mark & Heidi are awesome, and the word always leaves you changed. All around wonderful place!

I was new to Alaska about 6 months ago. About 2 weeks after i got here i found this place. This church is absolutely amazing. The people are friendly, and always willing to help. If you're looking for a place to staft fresh, learn about god or to even find good people. True north will welcome you with open arms.

We moved to Fairbanks last fall and our first Sunday at the church, our whole family was sure this was going to be our church. The new pastoral staff is amazing! Love the kids ministries and the Sunday morning worship and teaching. My teenagers also love the youth group on Sunday nights. Check it out and see for yourself...and you'll never leave!

Amazing staff and people. Top level worship and speaking by Pastor Mark Zweifel, best i in both catagories I've seen in the state of Alaska thus far. Due to this the church is growing weekly. Great opportunity to not only hear but to be heard. Lots of groups in which people can connect with others, make friends and do something for the community, not just the church. Will always feel like a home to me. If you're looking for a good church for families, they greatest children pastor in the north west Josh Dryer. Great college and youth groups under Derek and Julie Olson, creating dynamic groups. Has more traditional service in the morning with hymns then more modern second two services. Would recommend this church to anyone and everyone in the Fairbanks area

So friendly! They have something for everyone. l love the worship. My kids like the youth group and I've heard the traditional gathering with hymns is good too!
Biblical teaching.

This church has the best Sunday services along with the best youth and young adult services! The pastors are AMAZING! They are very very wise and actually take the time to talk to you and really care for you! I Love that! Best Church in Alaska!!!

This is a wonderful place to come and worship the Lord. They have an amazing children's ministry. I love the worship and the sermons are always so relevant.

My favorite place to be on Sunday mornings! Stop by sometime, pastor Mark is great and everyone will treat you like family. This church loves and honors God.

Fairbanks First Assembly is the friendliest church I've experienced. The atmosphere is one of acceptance, joy and life! FB1st is ethnically diverse as well as multi-generational! I love being a apart of this church community!

A welcoming body of believers. Loved the upbeat worship and encouraging message.

I am reminded of the love and forgiveness that God has for me and I wanted to thank everyone for their obedience to God. If it weren't for some people I would have probably gone down a worse path in life, but most importantly it wouldn't have been without Jesus.

Great church to go to!!! They offer child care, star bucks, its clean and big. Well organized church for the family to attend. Pluss they got summer camps for the kids.

I love the worship service, every week has different groups with an amazing team and music, please keep up the good music in the church.
