Clifton Historic District

Very cute little area to walk around in. Some of the best restaurants in NOVA are here, and there are also several locally owned, interesting shops worth meandering through. I love all the signage depicting the history of many of the buildings. Clifton is a cool, cute, and historically significant place worth spending a nice afternoon in.

A storic city with a lovely environment and nice architecture. It has a variety of alternatives for eating as well as different shops.

Take some time to check out this national historic district in Clifton VA. It's a small town established in 1869. They have several interesting shops and a lot of places to get some really good food. I stopped at the Wine Attic while I was there and sampled some natural honey and a few wines. There are train tracks that cut through the town so every 30 minutes or so you will hear one come by. This is a nice spot to explore if you are out and about around the area.

Clifton Days - had a great time. The atmosphere was great. Fun things to do for people of all ages.

Self guided walking tour to view historic architecture. Lovely gift shop. Antique shop as well. French patisserie that also sells light lunches. Main Street Pub sells adult drinks and American food. There is a wine shop with light dining and an ice cream shop.

I love this town. I have lived in it or a few miles away for about 25+ years. Great place to go for a short walk and look at the signs on the historic homes. Great restaurants, antique shops, wine shop and playground. Please plan on getting ice cream if you are in down during the warm months!

Clifton is a quaint town filled with historical markers that has managed to retain its own character. Once a month, they welcome a friendly gathering of motorcyclists for an early morning meet-up with all sorts of bikes, rare and old, and new and shiny. Their hospitality has been amazing.

I went to Clifton Day which was a street fair on 2 main streets with lots of booths. Very good food at Presbyterian Church for lunch. You can bring your dog(s) as long as they are leashed. Lots of dogs there. If you don't walk well, don't go, major walking.

Always nice to visit this quaint little town!

Clifton Day was a blast. Took the train in from Burke. Lots to see.

A small historical town with cozy atmosphere. Great restaurants and shops. I was sad to see old post office was closed though. If you get lucky, you get to see a train pass by :)

Great place to walk around on the weekends Though it can get a bit crowded on the weekends, its otherwise very calm and quaint.

Just head down some of the resisdential roads to get to the parks west of town
