What a cute little store! The inside was closed but they were taking orders at the door and were very quick and efficient. Many gluten free and vegan options! Also extremely affordable! The almond horn is emasculate, I was in heaven at first bite! The vegan breakfast sandwich (they had gluten free bread available) was very filling and had good ingredients not some random fillers with little nutritional value. If I lived here I would go all the time!

I consider myself a croissant snob. I love to try new bakeries all the time so I can try their croissants. The croissants from this place were some of the best I’ve ever had. There was quite a line to wait in but I’d say it was worth it. They also have coffee which I think is another big draw to this place.

Visited this place yesterday while passing through Richmond. So glad we found this little gem. The line was long so I had high hopes that it would be delicious and they delivered! We got macarons, cherry gazettes, a strawberry biscuit, and chocolate chip cookies. Macaron was delicious and flavorful. The gazette even the next morning was still crispy and the cherry filling was really fresh tasting. The strawberry biscuit wasn’t dry, and had a good flavor and a nice crunchy sugar top. I didn’t try the chocolate chip cookie yet but it looks great. I definitely suggest this place and we will certainly return when in the area again! I do wish there was indoor seating but you can only order at the outside window.

Incredible baked goods,strong coffee, reasonabley priced, and the staff is always friendly. There is a reason there is a long line all the time.

I only have one small thing. They are probably trying to give good value but they fill the coffee too much and I have a coffee explosion on my hands a lot of days. Prob just trying to give good value for the cup but i could use a centimenter of space to stop the spillage. In the reference pic i actually dont know how they got it that full. It was above the rim with the lid holding some in haha.

We love Sugar & Twine's cookies so much we used them for our wedding! And our guests loved them too! The Sugar & Twine team was great to work with and communicated very clearly through email to make sure my bulk order was correct and they even delivered all 400 cookies and put them in the jars I wanted! I would definitely recommend them for a quick treat or for your next big event!

amazing! coffee is good and so is the tea. the pastries are also delicious - the blackberry biscuit, oreo, cardimom bun and apricot danish were great. servers are super friendly and it is worth the line every time. very excited for the sit down area to open

Love this coffee shop. They serve really good turmeric and ginger latte which other places call "golden milk". Just the right amount of turmeric and ginger without one overpowering the other. Service is wonderful, staff is very patient in explaining what all their various pastries are. They all look delicious so I ordered 5 to go:olive oil chocolate cake (5/5, very moist not too sweet), raspberry lemon bar, oreophore (5/5, it's like they took the Oreo cookies apart, smashed the cookie parts and reformed into rounded ends sandwiching the original cream portion), snickerdoodle cookie, and almond horn. There's a line waiting, some with their dogs in tow - ambiance is very hip, trendy...

Came on a Monday morning before Christmas. Wonderful Americano and a cheddar egg biscuit sandwich with a dirty chai and oat milk. Along with the gym biscuit and everything was incredible. So much flavor and every bite and homemade taste. I would definitely come back to Richmond just to go here and everything is beautiful as well. It’s too bad they don’t have any seating since everything is still a to go window but the quality makes up for it.
They definitely earned their five stars.

This place is AAAmazzzzing!!!! I love a coffee-shop with delicious pastries, lunch, lattes, and all sorts of goodies!! We need places like this in Virginia Beach!! I indulged in the seasonal vegan pumpkin muffin (no pics because I ate it so quick!) & the crumble bar was to die for! &&& I loved the matcha latte with oat milk for my second buzz of caffeine as a smooth compliment to the pastries!!

Super nice and friendly service. The gluten free almond horn was amazing. Had the vegan veggie sandwich was delicious 🥪 😋 😍 my husband had the vegan breakfast sandwich he loved it.

Great coffee and delicious baked goods and breakfast sandwiches. Staff is very nice. The blackberry cinnamon muffin was perfect.

Best bakery! Coffee is superb. Pastries are delicious. Honestly everything is way better than any coffee shop/breakfast place I've ever been (trust me I've been to MANY). Seriously impressed by this place.

The pastries here are amazing. I had a chocolate chip cookie, snickerdoodle, and a strawberry biscuit. I'm still thinking about them a month later. The next time I'm in Richmond I'm definitely stopping by.

Absolutely delicious baked goods. The breakfast sandwiches are a real delight, and they have vegan options as well. An FYI to people not familiar, this is takeout only, no indoor seating.

Great walk up coffee shop with a good selection of food such as baked goods and bagels as well as a bit of alcohol and of course amazing coffee. The coffee was smooth and flavorful and the bagels were pretty good as well! This ship also provided free ice water to anyone that asked which is definitely a plus on a hot day.

Stopped by on a busy Sunday morning. They’re still closed from Covid and only taking window orders. The latte was great but the blackberry almond flour biscuit was simply amazing. I’ve had almond flour pastries before that were tasteless and awful. But they definitely have a lock on making that awful diet food taste truly amazing. I’d recommend this stop any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

Long line but moved relatively quickly. Good deals for breakfast sandwiches. Go early for the best selection of pastries. They sell out fast. Only takeout available right now.

Just stopped in for a coffee and found this gem. I got a large mocha and it was great. There were also pastry that looked fantastic! Nice little coffee shop.

A great breakfast spot that is open early for food and drink. Your options are visible through the window, and the menu is written up right below the table! It is a good spot for on the go eating - I would suggest getting a sweet or a breakfast sandwich to eat while you hike or walk around Richmond!

Conscious of allergies! They use tree nuts in some baked goods but usually do not use peanuts. Just have to ask!
