Tokyo Market

Thoroughly engaging fun shopping stop! This store is SO big inside and is packed with a ton of products. Most of the foods are new to me, so I always really enjoy prowling the aisles and learning about the products. The dishes and fun food prep accessories were my favorites, but so were the snacks, and the frozen goods and...everything! Really nice staff always ready with warm welcomes and help to find what you're looking for. Great stop!

We absolutely love this little spot to grab fun new things to try. We bought some amazing tea mugs there that were cheaper than amazon. I have two kiddos that like to move around a lot so I try to not bring them due to the narrow aisles and their love of sweets. I feel like maneuvering a stroller can’t happen in the shop itself. That being said it’s a great place and we have enjoyed a lot of great ingredients thanks to Tokyo market

In a non-descript storefront just off Cary Street lies an amazing hidden gem, Tokyo Market! An incredible variety of foods and goods can be found here. From a nice selection of spices, sauces, condiments, and noodles, to over a dozen different flavors of ramen and noodles. They also have a good variety of candies, snacks, and novelties. They even have a nice selection of bowls, spoons, tea pots and tea making supplies, as well as beautiful chopstick sets. Definitely a place to check out!

Cute authentic Japanese store with a good amount of selection for everything! I love the snacks there, and have bought some of the tea cups myself! Very affordable for the authenticity and their food are always great.

Cute little grocery store, well stocked with a huge variety from candy, gifts, general grocery goods, etc. Everything was priced fairly and the staff was super friendly as well. Definitely worth stopping in as you never know what you might find!

Tokyo Market is my favorite place to grocery shop in Carytown as someone who lives only a couple blocks from it. I forget mushroom stock for my curry? Walk to the Market. Need potato and corn croquettes for my curry? Market. Cute mug for my wife's birthday? You guessed it, Market. Staff is super helpful too!

Today was my first time visiting Tokyo Market and it was such a pleasant experience. I encountered two employees while I was shopping and they were both extremely polite and helpful. The first of which was a man who was stocking the shelves. We made small talk and he helped us decide between two items. He even showed us that one of the items was recently marked down! The lady at the register was so kind and helpful as well. She bagged all of our items with such care! The selection and variety of products was amazing and the prices were great! We will certainly be back soon!

Really small store but it has a little bit of everything. From foods, snacks, collectibles, dish wares, & toys. A cute little Japanese gift shop in my opinion.

Cute little Asian market. Great selection of food products not just from Japan. The owner is helpful and great to talk to.

My favorite shop in Richmond. The owner Chong is one of the most generous and caring people that I know. If you can't find something in her store that you're looking for she may be able to order it for you, just ask. Been shopping here for years for my home and my restaurants, Chong makes you feel like family when you're there. Can't say enough about Tokyo Market.

This store is amazing! I’ve been going here since they've opened, it was before I was in high school and now I’m in college. It holds lots of memories for me. I always walk in and browse what’s new, but 9 times out of 10 I never leave without my comfort snack.

My wife likes shopping at Tokyo Market because she finds food, especially rice, that she can't find anywhere else. If you like east Asian food you will enjoy Tokyo Market.

What a cool spot! We found all sorts of cool drinks and snacks that we haven’t been able to find anywhere else.

The staff here are so nice! Tons of stuff to look at in addition to some Japanese grocery essentials.
