Tavern in the Square Shrewsbury

This place has wonderful food. Service took awhile but to be fair the back area was closed for reasons unknown. It was a bit loud and the tables were not very clean but overall would recommend.

1st time here and it won't be the last, delicious food, good staff and great drinks. Overall a great place to go. Loved it.

This particular Tavern on the Square is beautiful. It's very big. The wait staff was wonderful and informative. The food was delicious and unique. Their bowls are like none I've seen.

As a former restaurant employee, I was very impressed with Shayne’s service and attention to detail. From the first sip to the final bill, he was there constantly checking in while tending to other patrons and his bar duties. Thanks for making our night that much more fun Shayne!

I got Sweet & Spicy Thai Chicken Salad. Amazing. Spicy but not where it was unpleasant. One of the best salads I’ve had in a while. And the portion was huge.

It was a little loud but it was packed when we arrive and then cleared out.

Our dining group ordered 1/2 sized portions. 6 people shared 3 classic burgers because we knew how big the portions were. They happily prepared the cut versions and served with copious French fries. Everyone was full and happy. Thank you!

The nachos were delicious. And that Blue Cheese crumble burger - that thing was a game-changer. Juicy, flavorful, just freakin' fantastic.

But yo, the real MVP? Our server, Ralph (aka RJ). This dude wasn't just good, he was the freakin' best. Talk about a class act – courteous, always on point, and man, he had us rolling with laughter. Dude's an absolute riot.

For real, this guy needs some major props. He went above and beyond, making our experience dope. 🙏 He's the kind of server you tell your friends about. So, to whoever's running the show, treat RJ like the legend he is. He's a total gem!

I don’t know if this is because of the chef here, or if this is normal across all branches, but we just had a great meal full of flavor. I ordered the Monte Cristo handheld, and it was awesome! It is a great mix of textures, flavors, and ingredient combinations that really stand out.

Loved the ambience, location, variety of food on the menu, ample parking spaces and the portion of the food. We were seated promptly. The order was taken promptly. Kids were hungry after a long day and had a quick decision from the kids menu. Very fresh ingredients and tastes good to the palate. Definitely recommend for friends and family who wish to relax, have a moment and reflect on everything from the past year.

As a first timer visiting one of these restaurants I was immediately impressed with the atmosphere. 6 of us, including a child & infant, had plenty of room at our table. Stopped here for a bite and some drinks before the PBR tour in Worcester & it was just what we had in mind, it was busy, but the wait time was a breeze. I asked our server if I could purchase the tall beer glass since it had their name on it & to my surprise the GM Erin, was so very kind enough to deliver a fresh clean glass to our table herself! All the food was delicious, especially the crab & corn dip with fresh pita chips! Will definitely be returning customers! Cheers!

We held a Baby Shower for our daughter and son in law here. The prep for the shower was made very easy by working Kelley. The day of the shower was stress free. Miranda, Kam, Jamie and Ariel were awesome! They were very attentive and gracious!
I would recommend them and we will use this venue again in the future!

I ate here yesterday and per usual the food and service were both very good. I had the tavern burger with fries and it was really tasty. The secret sauce was also delicious - and this is coming from someone who doesn’t really like most condiments. The restaurant also has a great atmosphere. We were seated in the back against their wall of windows and it had an awesome view of the west side of Shrewsbury and part of Worcester. I’ll definitely be back!

Never have I received such wonderful service like this before! This is THE best steak I’ve had in my life. This is from someone who doesn’t even like steak like that. But the food was so good that we asked to speak to the Chef (Helio) to express our gratitude. Abdel our server was so attentive and kind. I hope to see them again soon! From now on I will only be visiting Shrewsbury Tavern in the Square :)

Ate here for the first time today. Had an excellent server with very good attention to detail. Pleasant atmosphere. Hamburger with slightly overcooked but the meat was of good quality so I ate it. All in all a very good experience.My 3 grandkids ate what they ordered with no complaints! The Assistant Manager, Miranda, is a sweetheart! I'll be back!

Came to Tavern on the green for Sunday brunch with over 20 people at our table received a amazing, amazing amazing service from one waitress named Jamie. I don’t know how she did it, but she managed to get everybody what they wanted and take care of everyone with a smile.

Very good! Came here with family and an infant and were treated very well. The appetizers and meals were hot and tasty. We sat outside and very much enjoyed the atmosphere and ambience.

Food was great. Service is always impeccable. Only complaint would be that their water tastes a little odd, but definitely not something to make me hesitate coming back.

We ordered from the brunch menu. Good bloody Mary, perfect scrambled eggs, delicious side potatoes. Excellent service. Reasonable prices. Casual and relaxing. Sizable bar looks tempting, but couldn't. Maybe West Hartford after the holidays.

We had a party of 18 people and Jamie E was our server she did an excellent job for our large party. She was very cordial and calm. She made the party exceptional experience.

Our Bartender Shayne was amazing. Super personable guy, easily the best bartender there. Also makes a great Dark Espresso Martini. (Vanilla Vodka is the key)

Abdel was the best server, the food was incredible it was so good that we asked to speak to the chef ( his name is Helio). I never write reviews, but I had to! I highly recommend .
