Absolutely lovely date night place. You get your money's worth here! My date and I both got sushi, I ended up splurging for the Rockfish, and we shared the fresh-baked bread and the lava cake for dessert. The server was absolutely PHENOMENAL and it was her first day as a server in general! Got a seat on the first floor right next to the fireplace. Doesn't feel too crowded, not too casual - perfect for a semi-fancy anniversary dinner. 10/10.

We came here for a graduation celebration, and were not disappointed. The restaurant has two levels, divided into several areas that are all charming and cozy. Everything we had, from appetizers, cocktails, entrees, and dessert, was outstanding in taste, and presentation. Our server was attentive and friendly, as was the staff. This place is a must visit when in Virginia!

Food is fresh and service was fast. Server was knowledgeable and friendly. Great selection of foods enough to satisfy anyone .

Very good. I met with a friend on over the weekend for lunch and there was no wait; we were seated right away. Service was attentive and polite. The food was pretty good, though not particularly filling. I enjoyed the crab cakes and would opt for the fries instead of the salad I’d given another chance. Reasonably priced for the area (~90 for 2 people with tip). I parked in the neighborhood several streets over (free). Would visit again!

I'd been here a few times before as a "regular" customer with friends, and it'd always been good, but this rating is based on a work-related outing. We reserved the upstairs dining area for a group of ~20 folks for work. The menu we got to choose from allowed flexibility, the food itself was cooked PERFECTLY (and presented well), and our servers were accommodating. It's now my go-to place in Carytown.

Delicious, Perfectly prepared Seafood dishes! Has four Great options for dining: street-side tables w/umbrellas, bar, 1st floor dining room and 2nd floor glass wall-encased dining room. Servers & Bartenders were well-knowledged & Super Frinedly!

Everything spot on. Had Joe as a server and he was very attentive and quite knowledgeable of their Wine List. We made a reservation, got there an hour early and was immediately seated. Go check them out.

Possibly my favorite restaurant in Richmond and definitely the best seafood around. Great cocktails, quality food and nice atmosphere while never pretentious. Love the sushi, oysters, steak and fries, sashimi, grouper, fish tacos and desserts. Literally, I've enjoyed everything here. Salads were huge and nice portions for the price. I prefer this to West Coast Provisions but it's nice to have a good option in the west end. I love to sit in the upstairs lounge by the fireplace!

Wonderful little place with creative options, hip decor and great service!

Highlights:
Yellowtail crudo was incredibly fresh!
Blackened Chicken sandwich was perfect. (Better than an average chicken sandwich in every way.)
The ambiance is great!

Additionally, we had The Expat cocktail without the moonshine and the bartender (who was absolutely delightful) suggested adding the Thai Chili Syrup to give it a kick.

This is one of our favorite places! The restaurant is absolutely stunning and comfortable and the staff is amazing. We have been here numerous times and never had a bad experience. The scallops melt in your mouth and their octopus appetizer is out of this world. We get it every time we go. Their steak and sushi is also fabulous. Can't recommend this place enough!

Ordered the fish tacos and got three huge servings, with big chunks of fish on each, along with jicama and some other fresh veggies. These were the best I have ever tasted anywhere. Also came with a small salad with a yummy dressing. And it was only $20. Service by Serena was excellent. Only negative is the music — the noise level in the restaurant was loud, so all you could hear of the music was the repetitive bass and it got to be pretty annoying.

Wow. This is officially my current favorite restaurant in Richmond! We ordered the Tuna Tacos, West Coast Roll, Fried Oysters, and Cucumber-Berry Mojito (per the recommendation of our waitress). Everything was absolutely delicious. The tacos were packed with flavor and I loved the notes of sesame oil in it. The ingredients in the roll meshed together perfectly. The yellowtail was super flavorful and paired nicely with the spiciness of the jalapeno. The cucumber-berry cocktail was probably the best cocktail I've ever had! To be fair, I haven't tried many cocktails yet, but out of all the ones I've tried so far this has been the best one. The service was great considering how busy it was. Our waitress was very sweet, attentive, and helpful despite how overwhelmed she seemed at times! It's safe to say I will definitely be returning.

Will definitely be back. Tucker was our server , he was friendly and attentive. The food is amazing! We had octopus …the way it’s prepared! The flavor hits your taste buds and fried calamari was drizzled with a light sauce. I had the lobster roll and my boyfriend had the lobster with Broccolini potatoes. The drinks had the right amount of punch and the wine suggested went along with dinner well

Everything about this place was a yes. The service was excellent and personable, never rushing us through each step of service. The food was outstanding, and as a Chef with 25 years of time in trade, that's saying something. The fire place was just right on a rainy night. The drinks were expertly crafted and equally suited the products ordered. All in all, just a win.

I was very skeptical of this place given some of the negative reviews I saw on here but, honestly, every single menu item I tried was a 5 for myself and my husband (and we tried many items). The dishes that stood out the most were the corn and miso soup, the surf and turf, and the donut dessert. Drinks were good enough but not creative enough to blow anyone away. Every food item though was outstanding. We come from a place where seafood places are a dime a dozen and can genuinely say this place is a must try.

Yesterday my wife and I decided to try East Coast Provisions. Boy are we happy we did! It seems there are so many restaurants that are lacking in service or quality these days that its a great thing to find a gem that delivers. East Coast Provisions is that gem. We sat in the front window not far from the cozy fireplace. The sever was friendly and attentive. She made my cranberry spritzer herself and it was visually beautiful, with a fresh wedge of lime on the rim. The food that we ordered was great and it's the little details that add up. We started with the grilled oysters appetizer (five to a plate was our only disappointment because it was the two of us) - they were perfectly cooked and delicious. I ordered the blackened chicken sandwich with french fries. ECP has some of the best french fries we've had in a long time - they came out hot and properly seasoned. The chicken breast was nicely seasoned (not too salty or spicy, but just right) and was cooked perfectly so that it was still moist and juicy. The arugula on the sandwich was extremely fresh without any brown ends as is so common with restaurant greens these days. Even the winter tomato slice wasn't bad. Brioche bun was very good. My wife had the Crunchy (Shrimp) Sushi Roll and absolutely loved it. She raved about it several times during the meal. She even liked the sliced, pickled ginger that came with it, which she rarely touches at most sushi places. All in all we loved our experience at ECP. I noticed that the hostess made it a point to visit with one of the regulars (an older gentleman) for a few minutes who was dining solo to see how he was doing and what he had been up to. I think her kindness made his day!

Absolutely amazing food at a reasonable price. We got the octopus appetizer, which was heavenly; Simple but delicious flavors combined with elegant presentation. For our entrees, I got the scallops and she got the seared salmon. We were both very happy. We also saw a lot of other dishes on the tables around us that looked equally fantastic. This restaurant offers truly gourmet food at a relatively affordable price. After having been only once, this is already our new favorite restaurant in the Richmond area.

Wonderful food and great service. Had the seardd salmon with shaved Brussel sprouts. Really, really good. Daughter had shrimp and grits, with oysters on half shell to start. Said hers was fantastic.

I come here regularly with family as this has become my dad's favorite place to eat in Richmond. He loves the calamari starter and the burger. My husband is also a big fan of their burgers. They used to have this lobster pasta that I loved but since they took that off the menu I have really enjoyed the steak frites. Great place for happy hour or dinner and there is a parking deck just a half a block down the side street right in front of the restaurant off Cary.

The food was yummy. I was only here for the appetizer time. I loved the fresh seafood. I recommend this restaurant for anyone who likes seafood. The drinks are good too. I love their basil mojito. The staff was amazing. The cleanliness of the dining areas were superb as well.
