Kennesaw Mountain Summit

Nice walk along a nature trail. There are other people so you can feel safe going at it alone.

There are periods of steep and gradual inclines. Along the way are benches to rest or to enjoy the scenery/nature.

The reward is when you get to the Summitt and the views of Atlanta.

I tried to imagine building the trail and bringing all the equipment up the mountain.

Both the views from the summit and the parking lot close by, but especially the summit, are rather spectacular! There is even a benchmark plaque in the ground at the very, very top if you look hard enough! Whether you take the moderately straining hike or just drive up here, this is a worthwhile visit!

Great place to go for a hiking. The view is amazing, I wish I could stay there to see the sunset, however, the park closes at 6pm :(

I was certainly excited to return to this area. This is one of the prettiest areas to walk around, picnic and even to get some historical information about this wonderful site. No matter what, it is most certainly a beautiful place throughout your walk/hike/journey all the way to the summit too discover. It's peaceful and truly enjoyable no matter what you choose to do with your time there.

Great views of the city!!! There is a shuttle short bus that drives to the top for $3 for adults and $1.50 for children if you don't want to make the climb. The wildflowers and birds soaring really added to the beauty as well.

Great views from a historical landmark. You can even see downtown Atlanta's skyline from the summit!

Amazing views and great trails. Historical markers along the way made this informative and wel as invigorating.

One of the best hiking trails in metro ATL / Atlanta region. Trails of all levels of difficulty and lengths. You can spend 1-2 hours or an entire day. Dog friendly, get your pooch.

More importantly, follow the rules of this special historic place. You can't play around or such at some locations to protect the sanctity of the place.

From Kennesaw Mountain Summit, if the weather is clear, you can see not only the high-rise buildings of downtown/midtown Atlanta and Buckhead but also Stone-Mountain on the other side of Atlanta in distance.
On the top there are also few guns from the Civil-War era. All as a part of Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park. There is a free parking lot near the summit. Naturally you can walk the trail up there which is more enjoyable than just driving.

On my 2nd visit, I found it a refreshing weekend outing and treck.

Kennesaw Mountain was a fun nice Mountain to walk up. It isn't too long and it isn't a hard walk. we got to the top of the mountain in about 30 minutes once we got to the top it has a nice view but I wish the view was little more to see once getting to the top. Trails get very isolated after the top of the mountain.

I went up the mountain to the summit and the view was gorgeous beautiful sunset and you feel so relaxed and glad you made it up the mountain.

Kennesaw Mountain was wonderful. If you are looking for inclines...this will definitely start you off right way with it! The view is beautiful. You can also take a less strenuous way up and down the mountain by the paved road. It's Great for every one enjoy nature!

Must visit if near Cobb County. Can drive to top on paved road MON thru FRI but walk/hike is scenic. I always see deer these days. Panoramic view includes foothills of Appalachia, Stone Mountain and Atl.

Great fitness walk. Use the road up and down if your knees hurt. Or up the trail, down the road. I find going down steep trails harder on my knee. Yours knees may differ.

Good exercise, you can go slow, you can go fast, you can go all the way from Pigeon Hill to the Visitors Center and back, or just to the top and back, depending on your ability level and need tor a challenge.
