Very kind and thoughtful staff . I had to bring a friends pet in for what was going to be a euthanasia and ended up just needing a cremation service because the pet passed before the appointment. They treated us like we were long time clients and showed compassion and respect.

We started our relationship just over 2 years ago when my sweet dauchund was passing away. The care and compassion from all of the employees made me feel like I was not alone in my grief. Now I have 2 little dogs and both are so lovingly cared for by everyone at SVAH. We always feel like family with each visit.

Professional and compassionate employees, they are amazing with pets and the cost is more affordable then most places. They have patience which I appreciate because my dog has anxiety when it comes to vets. They will try to squeeze you in between appointments if there is an emergency which is extremely helpful. The office is pet friendly with quite a few pets of their own relaxing. There is also a side door and ramp which is convenient if your pet doesn't do well near other animals or has difficulty with steps.

The best animal hospital we've ever been to. The vets are very knowledgeable and experienced and the entire staff is super friendly. Everything runs smoothly and the prices are reasonable. Highly recommended.

Love the doc and all the staff. So friendly. They clearly all love what they do. And they know how to care for my pets. Under their care, I've had my cat put down, my puppy neutered and my old dog tended to...among other things. All top notch!

My husband usually takes our 1 year old Lab for his Vet appts but was unable to today for his yearly checkup.. I got there and decided it would be easier for me to wait outside until they were ready for us. We were greeted and taken to our exam room by Jess who was very courteous. She made the whole experience very pleasant and went above and beyond to help accommodate me with a hyper pup. When it came time to pay my dog started pulling towards another dog wanting to play making it very difficult to make the transaction. Jess came to the rescue again by allowing us to go outside and relay the pymt for me. We also determined my dog needed another test to be up to date on everything so she was so kind as to come outside and do it so my dog did not have to go back through the anxiety again. I can not say enough about the kindness and respect I was shown and how very grateful I am for that. Thank you so much Jess! You are absolutely amazing!

The Dr's and vet staff at SVAH are awesome. They are so kind and caring and equipped to provide the ultimate care. They saved my dog and best friend Taylor's life, she had autoimmune disease and is now doing great!! Thank you.

Our dog got stung while hiking nearby and we called them to see if we could come over. Every person there was friendly and professional. Very thankful they fit us in and helped out our dog. Beautiful practice too! Thank you

It's all started 13 years ago with a rescue dog named Bridgie. We had previous dogs taken care of by them but my Bridgie was extra special to me. I adopted her at about a year old and they did her first exam. They took care of our first child from then on. They took customer service and animal care to a new level. They kept my dog healthy and alive to the very end. We sadly lost our baby about 2 weeks ago. We have 13 INCREDIBLE years of love with her and an animal hospital I trusted in everyway that kept her going to the end. We received a card from them after we lost her and our hearts were filled with joy and some sadness. We love and thank Swannanoa Valley Animal hospital for there compassion and love they showed us and our Bridgie to the end.

They were very good, compassionate to our big boy, they gave him his peaceful rest.

I’ve been going to SVAH for years and I love them so much. They’re always so kind, compassionate, helpful, and intelligible about my pets.

I would like to specifically call out Dr. Scott who is a rockstar in my opinion. Dr. Sharp and Dr. Howie are awesome too, don’t get me wrong, but Dr. Scott is my favorite vet to get assigned, especially when I’m bringing in my kitties.

He always comes in and actually listens and talks to you for a while and you can tell he really puts thought and effort into every animal he sees. I’ve had many fur babies throughout my life and I seem to attract the difficult cases. Dr. Scott always is the one to have the best solution to every problem. For example when I’ve had cats that need to take a pill every day, he figures out how to get the medicine in an easier to administer form. Any cat parent knows how amazing and helpful that is when you have to give a cat a pill!

Dr. Scott has even called me back after they’ve closed on a day when we came in to tell me he’d really done a deep dive into information on my car’s issues and had a really great solution that would be ready to ship to my home the next day!!
Seriously.. this guy deserves a raise. He’s awesome.

I just love SVAH and it’s been so wonderful to watch their business grow and bloom in our little valley.

The animal hospital is awesome! My wife took our dog here for some problems she was having with her bowels. My wife sang their praises when the appointment was over. The staff was patient and kind and my dog is on the mend! If you care about your animals the way that I do then this is the the place for them!!

When you just move to a new area it's really scary to find a new veterinarian. Actually scarier to me than finding my own doctor! This place got great reviews and it was close so I brought my Boston Terrier Shelby there and I was not at all disappointed. It's immaculate and the people are wonderful. You don't have to wait a long time to get an appointment, and they don't keep you waiting long. Shelby is treated wonderfully! I would highly recommend. Just a heads up if your dog does not like cats, there is a sweet one that roams the lobby, but don't be caught off guard!
