WOW! 1st of all NO KIDS ALLOWED! Thank You VERY MUCH!!
2nd, Not what we expected. MORE than what we expected!
My husband and I stayed for 3 nights, on site 2 with our 2 Boston Terriers. Beautiful views. Quiet resort. Clean and well maintained grounds. Water, sewer and electric at each site. A little laundry area onsite.
We worked a lot while we were there and we had no problem with our cell service or internet. We did our client Zoom calls and loads of work on our computers. Jen and Jason do provide Starlink (fee free!!) to use if you have poor internet reception.
When we weren't working we strolled through their bunny area. Saw their chickens. Met some deer each day. Visited Nantahala Forest. Walked through Downtown Franklin, but just hanging out around Cardinal Ridge offered lots of space to wander, walk our dogs; and this is a very dog friendly place, or just sit and breathe fresh, sweet air. Sites are spaced out enough to where you have your privacy but you don't have to go far to mingle. Jennifer and Jason are beyond great hosts! They have a true passion for what they offer at this glorious adult resort. They take the time to greet and learn a little bit about each traveler passing through, and they are there if you need anything, but not right on top of you, so you don't feel like you are expected to interact all the time. You do you, and they give you the The Cardinal Ridge Farm RV Resort to do just that. Thank You gracious host and hostess!
We are returning often!

A 23-acre, privately-owned farm with eight full-hookup sites on the side of a mountain and right on the edge of Nantahala National Forest. A couple miles (maybe) of easy to moderate hiking trails. From our campsite (site 4 - the most private site) we did a 1/3 mile hike with about a 250 ft elevation gain to a magnificent view to the north overlooking Franklin.

Jason and Jennifer (owners) are the consummate hosts. Very approachable, they obviously love what they do and enjoy meeting every traveler who passes through. You can ask them to give you a ride up to the lookout, but they'll probably beat you to it by stopping by your site and inviting you on a ride in their Gator.

This place is a treasure. It is a little more than I usually like to spend, but it is well worth it... if you try it, I think you will agree. We intend to return.

Note. There are 4 upper sites and 4 lower sites (or maybe 5 and 3...). A 4WD is recommended for the upper sites. I did see a class C up there, but if you're towing without 4WD, a lower site will be best. I'm uncertain if there is a price difference.

My wife and I stayed at the cottage at the entrance of this property for two months. Can't say enough about the place and the owners! They recently renovated the cottage and ended up with a beautiful blend of old and new in this relaxing, comfortable and all-inclusive residence. Eight minutes away from Franklin, yet it's in a country setting with all the amenities a forest can offer - trails, old trees, wildlife ...
I would recommend this property to anyone.

We throughly enjoyed our stay, we will stay there again. The sights are well maintained, the owners are super friendly. The property is beautiful as are the views. We walked around the property and liked seeing their rabbits and chickens and of course there were deer. We highly recommend this destination.

We loved staying at Cardinal Ridge Farm, it was more than an RV campground. If you enjoy peacefulness, mountain views and wildlife, this is it! The owners Jennifer and Jason are both incredible hosts and their property is absolutely beautiful. Once we arrived, we didn’t want to leave. We will definitely be back.

Nicest campground you will find in the NC/TN/GA area. Amazing views, full hookups, immaculately maintained . Pet friendly and hosts Jennifer and Jason are airstreamers and get it. Easy to explore Highlands and Cashiers. This is a small spacious private campground that is developing quite a following so book early

We really enjoyed our 12 day stay at Cardinal Farm RV resort. Jason and Jennifer are the best host. We extended our stay because it's such a quiet beautiful place. We are planning on returning next August. It was nice meeting the other campers, they were all such nice people. I would not change anything about the park. We have included a few pictures of the Farm and surrounding areas.

Thank you

My wife and I just had the pleasure of staying at Cardinal Rifge for the past 4 days and it was just a wonderful time in every way! Owners Jennifer and Jason are extraordinary hosts. We met some other folks while we were there and they were very nice too. The campground is very nice. We were on site #4 this time and it is easy to understand why it is one of the most requested sites. It is very private and has plenty of room for lawn furniture and pets. Speaking of pets, Cardinal Ridge is extremely pet friendly. Jennifer and Jason have an Austrian Shepherd named Skye and she is the official animal welcome committee. I hate to say too much more because then you too will want to go here and we won’t be able to get a reservation.
Bottom line is Cardinal Ridge is outstanding and you will love it just as much as we do!

Peace & Quiet & Beauty
Cardinal Ridge Farm RV Mountain Retreat is an absolute favorite of ours! Other than a very noisy peacock, this place is perfection! Really we adore that handsome boy along with another sassy resident, Rosco the rooster. The mountain views are stunning whether gazing out our RV window or walking out & about on the grounds & trails. In the evenings, the deer, turkeys, bunnies, birds and squirrels often congregate for all to see! Mountain Resort describes this place precisely. Jennifer and Jason, the owners, are the best!!!! We hope to return very soon for another lovely respite to this location south of Franklin, North Carolina!

Everything about this RV resort is exceptional! Well maintained and beautiful grounds with spacious sites and excellent mountain views. Hosts/owners were so welcoming and down-to-earth. Tranquil, lush, super dog-friendly, and has abundant wildlife. We will go out of our way to stay here again.

We have traveled all over the country and this remains one our favorites. It has long mountain views and great sunsets. The sites are all level, gravel, and cement pads with a table and chairs. Full Hook Ups. Water and power are good. Great owners.

Lots to do in the area between Franklin and Clayton. Many state parks, lakes, and mountain roads to explore. We really enjoyed the Tiger Mountain Vineyard with live music. Also a great drive over to Nantahala Lake and the Lakes End Cafe.

Fantastic location. Great mountain and forest views. Owners have created a beautiful and thoughtful environment. Great stewards of nature. Located on a hill with a steady but easily manageable climb to the campground. FHUs and Laundry available. No bath house or bathrooms, it is an RV campground.

Absolutely the best, most beautiful and peaceful campground I've ever stayed at. Beautifully maintained gorgeous property and very nice people running it. Almost every campsite is positioned so it feels like your the only one there. There is walking trails through the woods that go up to a beautiful overlook. It deserves more than 5 stars.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in this beautiful small, only 8 sites, RV Farm Resort. Jennifer and Jason are wonderful hosts. We truly enjoyed watching the deer and wild turkey in the evenings. There are many trails within this well maintained campground to explore.

We struggled with the decision to post a review for Cardinal Ridge, as a favorable review will only attract others to this almost-secret, beautiful RV park. Only out of respect for the labor and hospitality of Jennifer and Jason do we post this review. Please don't come. It is too beautiful, too secluded, too well-maintained, too quiet, and too remote yet so close to the world (Franklin, NC) for you. Go somewhere else. Forget you ever heard about Cardinal Ridge. Please. Don't. Come. And for gosh sakes, don't even think about reserving site 6.

Cardinal Ridge Farm is a small RV resort that offers everything. It's easy to reach, fabulous views, quality hook-ups, and an adult family friendly environment. The owners are very accommodating, always able to assist, and happy to help when needed. You'll love being close to town and shopping, as well as all three local sites. Tons of wildlife, deer, peacocks, wild turkeys, you name it!

The owners are delightful. Super quiet spots to sit and watch the wildlife. Close to enough stuff to keep you busy and just far enough out to let you relax. We extended a day it was so great!

Our favorite campground to date. When we first started RVing full time we weren’t sure what to expect out of campgrounds and rv parks. If every park was built like Cardinal Ridge, there would be even more full time RVers in the country. Kathleen and Kenny are the kindest hosts on the planet. Their hospitality is equally matched by the love and care for the grounds. The campsites are super spacious giving you room to breathe between you and your neighbor, the views will wake you up inspired and put you to bed wondrous, and the cell phone reception is amazing for being on the side of a mountain. Wild turkeys and deer will greet you from time to time and there are plenty of walking paths to keep you in shape. If you’re looking for the best park in North Carolina... this is the place for you.

If you like peace and quiet, mountain views, wildlife, and don't want to reach out and touch your neighbor, this is the place. Love the owners. Close enough to town but out in the mountains atmosphere. Definitely our favorite spot in NC. Love the little town of Franklin too!
