Oak Steakhouse

We celebrated my 50th birthday here. The staff went above and beyond and gave me a card that had been signed by the staff. Food is delicious. The atmosphere is great. The only small negative was that the smoke smell became overwhelming to us and we rushed out after dessert. We both have lung issues and it ended up being too much for us. We will return in the future though.

My husband and I made reservations for dinner during our honeymoon and we loved the food and the atmosphere so much that we went back the following day for brunch! Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection! Also, they have a super friendly staff. Definitely coming back whenever we visit Highlands again!

I loved everything about this place! From the fantastic food, outstanding customer service and breathtaking views, it far exceeded our expectations. We arrived a good bit early for our reservations just to take in the view and the host was able to seat us early. Our server, whose name I sadly don’t remember was the BEST!(younger guy with glasses) His recommendations didn’t disappoint and he exuded everything and more that you expect from someone in a customer service position. Lastly we had the venison Wellington and trout, both were great! 10 out of 10 recommend this place! We will for sure be back. ❤

Came up to Highlands for a quick weekend and stayed at the Skyline Lodge. The Oak is at the back of the hotel, and the experience was second to none! The environment, the staff, the food and everything else was absolutely amazing. We ended up coming for dinner twice and both times had a phenomenal experience. Best food I've had in a very long time. Our server the first time was Ace and boy did he know his stuff. He was everything you would want in a perfect server. Tonight we sat at the bar and the bartenders were great! The hostess was so sweet and accommodating. Remembered us, and they took amazing care of us. I would highly recommend anyone coming through to go here for dinner or drinks. Stellar!

A neat little midcentury hotel concept hosts this simple elegant steakhouse. We had a late dinner and enjoyed our cocktails as well as our main courses. I highly reccomend the steak frites with the oak sauce and the Brussels sprouts. We shared chocolate cake for dessert and it was heaven. Our service was prompt and friendly and took great care of us!

If you are looking for the perfect combination of stellar dishes and stunning views, Oak Steakhouse is the place for you. We stayed for my birthday and ate dinner and brunch and was not disappointed! The staff is friendly and conversational! We had the filet. It was cooked perfectly! For brunch, we had breakfast poutine, stuffed hash browns, the country fried steak, and the crueller for dessert. Oak is a premium dining option, but well worth the expense. The Venison Wellington seemed like a very unique offering but could not have been cooked better. The servers were extremely knowledgeable and added to the experience.

A hidden gem nestled in the Smokey Mountains. Our server Shannon was phenomenal: she was very knowledgeable about the wine selection and the dinner menu. I had the venison wellington, and my friends had the chicken fricasee and the trout. Our dishes were on point, as was the service, and of course, the mountain views. This is a must-experience if you visit Highlands, North Carolina.

Oak Steakhouse has been a great addition to our community. I have thoroughly enjoyed the drinks, food, atmosphere and the great service. Its not just about the Steaks they have delicious Pasta with Bolognese, and the best Smash Burger ever that brings me back time and again. I find myself craving it. There is not one thing I could critique. Our dinner experience this evening was an EASY 5/5. The views, ambiance, vibe + the food, service, and attention to detail was outstanding. Highly recommend and thank you to the team who made our celebration this evening so very special!

We make it a point to visit at least once when we come for a week at a time. From the moment we walk in the door we are treated exceptionally well. It feels like an extension of our mountain cabin. the food is wonderful and the wine list excellent without crazy surcharge or being pretentious. Highly recommended.

My daughter treated me to a special dinner at Oak and, as usual, the fabulous team at all Indigo Road restaurants stepped up and made it incredibly memorable! Our server, Faith, was extraordinarily skilled and extremely kind. The manager, Kevin, came over several times to ensure our meal was up to our standards (it FAR exceeded our standards)! And hats off to their crazy talented pastry chef, Ashley, for the most beautiful and tasty dessert!! The kitchen staff prepared everything beautifully and the setting is unbeatable. Thank you for a lovely evening!

Absolutely one of the best meals I’ve ever had…. I have been to pretty much you name it. I will come back to Oak every time I am in highlands. Outstanding. And Miranda our waitress could not have been more lovely!

This place is ridiculous. Enjoyed a nice dinner with friends and family. NC is like a family home and everyone helps one another. Great atmosphere will come back for more along with memories. Thank you for a great dinner and family fun.

Wow. What can I say. Just the drive up to the Oak Steakhouse is amazing. The tranquil atmosphere pulls you into the restaurants front door where you're greater by an incredible view. The mixologist the most amazing cocktail, friendly and attentive. We sat at our time reserved inside the very elligant main dining room. The wait staff are on point and very helpful in information on all the meals prepared. Note: The venison wellington was out of this world. All our meals were incredible. Highly recommended.

One of the best meals I've had in my life, and I've eaten at some amazing places around the world. The ambiance of the restaurant was nice and cozy - a very lodge feel. Our server, Brooke was knowledgable and gave great recommendations. The table bread is phenomenal. My wife and I split the salad, then had the bolognese (full of flavor without being too rich) and the NC trout (melts in your mouth). They were impeccable. We then went downstairs to their pop-up bar which was very festive and fun to sit cozy up on one of the couches after dinner. We would highly recommend.

Met a sever at the bar and we said what the hell we will check it out for brunch. Lucky we did everything was amazing from the check-in with the hostess, the servers, the time we got our food and even the restrooms were spotless. Maybe we got lucky but the place wasn’t crazy busy. Must stop for brunch.

I cannot say enough good thinks about Oak. Rob was the most incredible waiter we’ve ever had. He truly made our anniversary dinner an incredible experience. The food was outstanding, incredible service, and he was so knowledgeable of the menu and what drinks went best with what. Highly recommend!

Food was absolutely delicious, we got the steak frites, Brussels sprouts and macaroni, split it between two people and had leftovers for lunch the next day.

Bar tender was great to talk to and made a delicious banana drink for me on a random request.

We enjoyed Oak Steakhouae as part of a girls' trip. The filet was delicious! The restaurant was impeccably clean, the staff was welcoming and helpful. Michael was a delight, and don't get me started on the amazing drinks he served us! We had such a great time, our only complaint is that we hadn't discovered this gem earlier in our trip.
