Absolute, best homemade food in town! The service was fast and friendly! My favorite place to eat!

Many years in business and I stopped in on a Wednesday at 3 and there were still customers and excellent service and friendly and hard working staff!
I missed the lunch special by being late myself but ordered the hamburger steak with grilled onions and they said pick 3 veggies and I did pick mashed potatoes, limas, and fried okra and cornbread.
All were so good I ordered the vegetable soup and it was great also!
Exactly... in business for so many years and so many loyal customers you will not be disappointed!

After getting our vaccine shot this morning my wife and I decided to treat ourselves to a nice breakfast. We don't live around Monroe so we had to search a bit. Jud's came up with high marks, and it looked like the kind of place that we like. A local diner that's been around a long time. It sure didn't disappoint! They have a pretty wide selection of food, and the prices are very reasonable. We went with some basics. My wife had 3 pancakes and bacon, and I had 3 French toast with bacon. At $4.99 each, it is a great deal. Both meals were perfect, and the wait staff were all friendly and attentive. They've apparently been around since 1952, so they obviously know how to keep their customers happy. I would highly recommend Jud's for anyone in the Monroe area. We'll definitely be back the next time we are near.

My wife loves dives like this. We were meeting for breakfast but she’s not good with directions even if it’s on her phone😅. She tried the fish and chips and I had the double burger. A single would’ve been good though. Great service, will be back.

Great home cooking with tons of food! Hamburger steak, rice and gravy, mac and cheese with cornbread....just pike Granny's!!! On Sunday they have free banana pudding while supplies last....cant beat that. Dont let building throw ya...the food is fantastic💚

We had not visited Jud's in years. Food was fresh and delicious with ample portions. Staff was attentive and courteous. Will definitely revisit soon.

If you remember Jud's from the 50's or you remember 50's diners in general - you know the rest of this review. It hasn't changed much. Classic diner cooking, friendly staff and a local feel. Stop in for an early morning breakfast to begin your day with a bit of Americana.

Place is off the chain I had breakfast 2eggs ,grits,fried pork chop and bacon .fried pork chop was amazing it was all delicious best breakfast I've atefrom anywhere around

First the easy fixes: Stop allowing the kitchen staff control of the thermostat.
Your dining room should be set a a temperature comfortable to the paying customers.

I've been eating at this restaurant since I was a child, well over 35 years. I moved away and visit it when I come back to see family. The quality of the food is very good if you're looking for good down home cooking. The portion sizes are large and filling. The staff is happy to see you and very attentive to your needs. Highly recommend!

What a gem of a place. Food was delicious. The entire staff was so nice. We rode our motorcycle there and then it started to storm. They told us we could stay as long as we wanted. The owner told us the family history of the restaurant. Can’t wait to go back!!! Prices are fantastic!!!!

Great food and good service. I love there, home cooking. I am going back. All young lady's are just so very, sweet and happy all the time. It so hard to make up your mind what, to eat. From a salad to a hot good or great meal. Tea is good, love there ice. Also the sweet they service, it so great. I am home and to think about it I can eat me a big salad now, or a nice meal.

Owned by one of the nicest families you'll ever get the chance to meet. Locally owned, the sweet tea is 100% southern sweet tea. Great food and even better prices. Your portions are more than enough.
