Monterrey of Monroe

This Monterrey location is superior to all others. The food here is delicious across the board. The sweet tea is consistently good. The mixed drinks, especially their strawberry mojito, are on point! I haven't found anything wrong with this location. The staff is super nice. The restaurant is always clean. There is sometimes a short wait, but they'll get you in quickly as possible. They have live music on certain nights. They will sing a happy birthday song. It's an all-around great restaurant.

This is a great restaurant! They have great customer service and if there is a wait it moves pretty fast. The food is very tasty and it comes out fast and hot. One of our favorite spots to eat at. Oh and the margaritas are delicious!

The food came out quickly and there was plenty for one person.

The large beer is ridiculously large, but if you're thirsty it may work for you (see picture).

The fajitas texanas were good. Shrimp, steak, and chicken. The chicken and shrimp were better than the steak in my opinion, but the steak wasn't bad. Just a little chewy in spots.

The sides were the standard - rice, refried beans, Pico de Gallo, and guacamole.

For one person with the giant beer it was $38 after 20% tip. The beer was $8.95, so you'd be closer to $30 for just the meal and tip.

There are less expensive options on the menu than the fajitas texanas, and there are less expensive fajita meals.

Overall it was a good experience, the food was quality, the service was good, and it didn't take very long from when I arrived until I had food in front of me.

First time here and we enjoyed it. The food was really good. We were seated quickly even with the parking lot full. The server was very attentive in taking our orders, keeping the chips full and the cups filled. Will definitely keep this place in our rotation.

Who can say anything bad about this place? The best fresh guac in town. Always fresh, always fast, and always busy but it never reflects on their speed. They could have 500 people in the building and still treat you like you're the only table. Great restaurant

Steak fajitas are the best!! My favorite. Stopped by for dine in again today and it was so good. Steak fajitas are sizzling fresh. Everything was good from the chips and salsa to the beans and rice and Pico de gallo and the steak was so good. Chicken and shrimp fajitas are good also it's just the steak is my favorite it's awesome. I get the limes to squeeze on them and that makes them that much more awesome

The food and drinks are worth the $$. The service was attentive. It took a bit of time to get checks, but the rest was all good

Been there about 15 times and EVERY time the food is amazing, the service is amazing, they really try to accommodate any special requests. Love this place!

Food was great. Good sized portions and flavors were great. Service was well above average. Very friendly staff and super fast service even on a busy Friday night. Would definitely come back next time we are in the area.

The guacamole was amazing, tasted very fresh. I got the California burrito, but did cheese instead of burrito sauce, and the proportions are huge and it was excellent. Salsa wasn't too hot and very flavorful. The wait staff was attentive. Very good "hidden" gem.

We had a wonderful lunch there and I got the Baja fish tacos. The spicy skinny margarita was excellent.

My favorite Mexican restaurant in Monroe. They have great hot salsa and every dish I have had here is delicious. Very cool atmosphere and friendly staff. If you love Mexican food you need to go! Lunch or dinner!

When you walk in and that aroma hits, you know it's home. Like your NANA is cooking in her kitchen. Food made with LOVE ❤.

The food and service here are excellent. The portions are huge, and well seasoned. I love their steak and shrimp, their guacamole and especially the chorizo dip. The service is very quick with drinks and getting the food out. They had large tables for big families, which always makes for a good time.

Very friendly. Food is delicious and prices are affordable. I ordered the flautas. They were delicious. Next time we come to town we are definitely coming back.

Went out with my Wife..Had an excellent meal..the service was outstanding and the food was great..as we were seated we were brought chips and salsa, and we ordered some queso to go with them...delicious!...we each ordered something different ...something " new" besides the normal Mexican fare..Just to change things up..my wife ordered the Arroz Camrones (?? )...it was shrimp with peppers, onions, rice with queso and avocado salad...she Loved it and let my try a bite ...very tasty !!..I ordered the Pancho Villa...A steak smothered with Bacon, Mushrooms, Cheese sauce with rice and refried beans..The flavor was amazing...the steak was just a tad bit overcooked compared to how I like it, BUT, Our server didn't ask how I wanted it, nor did I tell her, soooooo...lol...it was cooked between medium rare and medium...was a little tough ( just a little) but like I said , was packed with flavor...we've dined here several times before and will most definitely be back... always happy after eating here..😁
