Recently stopped in to get some new hiking pants. Taylor was super friendly and very helpful! I always love stopping here when in Boone because they have really good prices and great gear. It seems like they always have something on sale and carry color choices not available at my local REI. Highly recommend getting your gear here!

The Boone location is a HAPPENING place. Visited while in town celebrating our 43rd Anniversary. Zack was extremely helpful and one of the coolest persons we meet while in town. A very family friendly store. Already looking forward to our next visit. Superb customer service and a great selection .

Are boys have done this each year we vacation in the mountains. Excellent crew, patient and very accommodating - all ages. Well run, decent price and great encouragement factors. They had a great time today!

Had an awesome experience from Mackenzie (I hope I got the name right). She was very knowledgeable about the shoes and how feet work. I gave her a couple of brands and things I was looking for and she brought out a few pairs. I ended up picking two pairs and they are awesome. So glad this store is still around. First started coming 10 years ago.

I just can't say enough about Mackenzie! She listened to my many foot issues (bunions, narrow heels, etc.) and found the perfect hiking boots for me which would accommodate my orthotics!! SALEWA is a brand I have never heard of but she knew they would work and they did. I rarely write reviews but when I encounter a stellar individual like Mackenzie, I have to!

Great store, great selection, great customer service. The store manager Zach let me try on everything and gave me all the time I needed to find what worked for me. Absolutely no pressure to buy anything. A very relaxed and friendly place to do business. I always shop local when I can but the fact their prices were the same as one of the big online footwear vendors didn't hurt my feelings. If you need hiking books or anything else for the outdoors this is the store to visit first. And if you're looking for an excellent hiking boot do yourself a favor and try the Salomon X Ultra 3 Mid GTX. I crushed Grandfather Mountain in a pair of those bad boys.

Best service at any outfitters I have been into since attempting ECT East Cost Trail hike From Miami to Maine. I have already recommend these guys to 10 people who have interest in starting their through hike from Georgia to Maine. In my opinion all outfitters should stand by what the sell and offer to the public as well as this company does. Just a little hometown company. With a big town heart. Accidentally stumbled on this great store while having lunch in Boone. Decided to stop in a try on some hiking boots for an upcoming trip. Anna was beyond helpful. Her one-on-one customer service was so awesome and helpful, along with her personal knowledge and options. I didn’t plan on actually buying when I first walked in and Anna not only changed my mind, but got me fit with the perfect boots for my upcoming adventures!

Super friendly place. Had exactly what I wanted. Helpful staff, took me directly to the gaitors and showed me how to wear them. He also made sure they fit properly. A bit pricey, but only quality items in the store, which is cheaper in the long run.

Excellent one-on-one service. I went in to shop for women's hiking boots, and the Shoe Expert, Sheila, took care of me, measured my foot in every way imaginable, made sure I was educated about the proper socks, and even showed me methods to effectively putting on and tying my shoes. She worked with me to meet my needs based on my feet's shape and size, as well as the kind of activities I plan to do. The first pair she brought out was perfect, but I tried on a second pair just for comparison... There was no need - she knows so much about each style's fit and features that her first suggestion was best. Also, the selection was large enough to meet a wide variety of customers' needs, but small enough to keep from overwhelming the customers. Even though it was half an hour until closing time on a Friday, all of the staff members were excited to see me, and engaged in my needs. Customer service like this is hard to find in Boone. Highly recommend Foosloggers for outdoor gear needs.

Went in for the first time looking for hiking poles and their very helpful and knowledgeable staff helped me select the right item for my needs and budget. Looking now for a winter jacket so will be stopping by again soon.
