CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital - Medical Center

Christus Santa Rosa Hospital on Babcock was terrific. My husband had a very difficult surgery on 03-28-24. All hospital personnel, nurses, and Dr's treated my husband and myself with the utmost respect, kindness and courtesy. I would recommend them in a heart beat to anyone needing surgery.

Let me first give you a backstory to our experience with Christus Santa Rosa on Babcock. We start five days ago in a small border city. I was told that my husband was going to be transferred to Christus for specialized surgery after a gall bladder removal surgery in our city. I immediately googled and looked at the reviews for Christus SR. I was apprehensive. I contacted the unit nurse in charge of patient transfers and requested to be sent to another hospital due to the reviews I read. She advised me not to go by the reviews (which is what most people do), and to give them an opportunity by forming my own opinion. She then stated "Besides they are the only ones that have a bed available for your husband. If I send you anywhere else you will have to wait for a room in the emergency room. It can take up to two days." We had already gone through a similar experience before.
Now, let me tell you about our experience. Thank goodness we ended up here! We have been treated exceptionally well. Every contact we have made has been positive from the Hospitalist Doctor, every Interventionist Doctor (Surgeons, Gastroenterologist, and Anesthesiologist); RNs, CNAs, Physical Therapists and all Support staff. Special shoutout to our second (2nd) floor care staff-Janie, Irma and every other wonderful ladies that were directly involved in my husband's care. We have additionally been treated well spiritually with daily visits from ministers, deacons, chaplains from our Catholic faith. This has meant the world to our collective well-being and my husband's healing.
As I read in other reviews; YES, the room was small, but we saw well managed. Yes, there are small dings in the walls which to us was a sign of movement and expediated care. YES, someone at some time might have come across a miscommunication issue, but we know that a good talk resolves everything. For all of these things we award Christus Santa Rosa on Babcock a 5-Star rating.

My experience at this hospital has by far exceeded expectations. The staff truly care for their patients. I would like to thank my nurse Christopher and MD Yan Meng. Thank you to the urologist team who took care of me immediately. There were several other staff members who helped me. I unfortunately can’t remember their name.

Great staff, Elizabeth was great on the 4th floor. They saved my life, many many thanks to all. Just can't say enough about all of the staff, very nice people. Love u all.

I was admitted to your hospital on June 20, 2023. I was admitted through your ER department due to extreme diarrhea and vomiting which caused extreme dehydration. I was lucky to have Emily and Natalie as my nurses. They were very friendly, professional and concerned about me and my condition. Emily made sure to come by and check on me appropriately every hour or so to much sure I was doing well and asking if I need anything. Once I was transferred to my room 1513 I was met by Chris and Yanli who also took great care of me. Then I meet Debbie who took my vitals and she told me that she had been at her here for 26 years and loved every minute of it especially under the recently new administration. Sorry, I can't remember everyone's name but they were all great. They all asked how I was doing and if I need anything. From the nursing staff, the surgeons, the ladies taking my vitals, the ladies delivering my meals, the cleaning ladies and even the maintains guys that came by to fix a cloaked toilet. Everyone was fantastic. I say all this being that since 2019 I've spent a lot of time in hospitals. So thank you very much to all of you for taking great care of me. I know it takes special people to take care of someone when that person is at one of the worst points in their lives. You all are special people in my eyes.

I was taken to Christus Santa Rosa after being in a car accident. I was promptly seen, had numerous tests and was treated. All of the staff was wonderful. I highly recommend them.

There was a 5 minute wait to be seen. I was very well cared for. Checked out and released very quickly. This is MY hospital. I've had 2 surgeries here. I've also been hospitalized for other reasons 2 other times. The nursing staff is wonderful. So compassionate. If you're old and you need an ER, pick this one! There's never a line. It's extremely easy to get to, you can drive up within 50 feet of the check in desk. And they take such good care of you. I don't necessarily want to, but I'm probably going back.

I was transferred from the Santa Rosa ER and was placed in a room to await surgery. Every staff member that I interacted with was on top of their job and my needs. I am extremely happy my gallbladder removal was placed in their hands. From the nurses, CNAs, doctors, and anesthesiologists I felt confident in their abilities to perform a successful gallbladder removal. I appreciate everyone who works here and takes the time to get to know their patients even if interactions are temporary.

Dr.Smith (surgeon)on 2827 Babcock Rd ,She's a terrific doctor by far one of the best my mom has seen. All my moms registered nurses and LVNs were extremely helpful, caring and friendly with my mom in one week she was there.
Great job Dr Smith and Registered Nurses and LVN keep up the great job.

I had a total hip replacement surgery and my overall care was AMAZING!!! Thank You for everything! HIGHLY recommend!!!

Due to high school/college sports and genetics, I was predisposed to have bad hips. Both hips were bone on bone. Due to my excellent surgeon (Dr. Matthew Morrey), and the entire team at Christus Santa Rosa Medical Center, I am 3 weeks post-op and I am walking without a walker or cane (just the slightest limp - probably from my other jacked-up hip ;) Also, due to my quick recovery, I have now scheduled my other hip replacement literally 6 weeks later. Total hip replacements are no joke and can potentially have a myriad of complications. But, due to the great care I received at the Christus Santa Rosa Medical Center, I did not experience any issues (knock wood).

One of the best hospitals I've ever been to. My husband was the patient and we were highly impressed, with the Doctors, the care he received and the hospital itself. Would love to be able to leave just a review for one special Nurse but all I know is his first name is Chris and he works on the 1st floor helping hip and joint care patients. My husband had a hip replacement surgery this weekend and Chris was his night nurse. He received the most excellent care and consideration from Chris, today is Monday and we are still talking about Chris! How intelligent and caring with a wonderful attitude towards patients. He was by far the best Nurse we had. I wish we had gotten his last name but it was the first night and things were hectic. But he was wonderful and the hospital was too. My husband received excellent care.

I wish I was able to visit this hospital when at my best but I’m usually sick. The staff here is just the best I never feel like there rushing me. The treatment I always get is just amazing this is the only hospital I could say that about. The ER staff is always in a rush but still take there time with there pt. From checking in to the ER RNs, technicians even the Drs make sure you understand what’s going on why ur sick what there doing. Just everything, staff of the floors are just as great even down to the cafeteria and there food is better than any other hospital. My salmon 🍣 never taste this good. Thanks Joy (RN) on the 4th floor for the great care. You can’t go wrong with Santa Rosa in the medical center. Plus, I love that the clergy will come up and pray with you. Thanks for all you do to all the staff at Santa Rosa.💚

Edited- Once Praise (Her name) the Night RN was amazing made sure I understood all the tests and bloodwork that would be done the next morning she made sure I was completely in the loop. With in the first 10 mins she fixed the EKG leads removed the IV that no longer worked almost everyone avoids my IV due to me being a very difficult stick. She placed it in the back of my arm with absolute ease super fast no pain and in a much better position. She fixed the IV stand so it finally stopped beeping after 2 hours of it driving me crazy. She ordered me a late snack so I was able to eat something because I couldn’t after midnight My vitals and Blood sugar where checked all within the first 10 mins of her coming in for her shift. The whole staff was wonderful but Praise went above and beyond to make sure my stay was as comfortable as possible. Hope I never need to return but if I do I hope I become her pt again. Thanks Santa Rosa Medical Center for going above and beyond to help me while I’m so sick. I never feel like I get this kinda care at any other hospital.

This is my husband second home every time we come they treat him like he's the only person here. They had helped him in so many ways and they would heal his body the way there's Christine and they always find out what's wrong. He had so many surgeries in this hospital he's been coming to the same Hospital for more than 5 years. And when I need to come to the hospital or the emergency room I come to the same one that my husband comes to the one on Babcock and Medical Drive they're awesome here thank you for helping us always God bless and always in our prayers.

When I got banged up,this facility treated me with nothing but love and kindness. Shoutout to Cynthia, Milo and Johnny for taking special care of me. I really appreciate them.💙💙💙

I just had gallbladder surgery 2 days ago and the staff there was amazing! They treated me like family. I can't say thank you enough from the doctor's, to the nurses and nurse assistant's, to the women who kept my room clean, to the people making my food! Everything was tip top. The hospital was clean, in order, and I loved the communication that everyone had with me through every step. I'm back at home to a speedy recovery thanks to the staff there! Keep it up guys! You have set the bar high for the rest!! ❤👍🏼🏌

I recently had surgery at Christa Santa Rosa Hospital. From my pre-admission testing to my actual admission, to my surgery, recovery & being discharged, the whole process pleasantly surprised me. The experience was a positive one for sure. Being older, I really appreciated the feel & the care of a smaller Hospital. It was amazing. My blood pressure usually goes sky high because I get so nervous at Doctors offices or Hospitals, but not here, as I was completely relaxed in their environment. That should really tell you something. I would highly recommend Christa Santa Rosa, Medical Center for your next Surgery or Proceedure. Terry Williams

I would like to thank the personnel working at the ER on 11/28/2020. They attended to my wife quickly and with the utmost care and professionalism. The doctor was very concerned and took action immediately. We were in and out of there within 45 minutes and my wife is feeling much better after taking the medicines prescribed. All of the staff from the intake nurse to the nurse taking vitals and the doctor were the best I’ve ever experienced. We are very grateful and know that God will bless these heroes for the work and compassion they showed us. Especially during this pandemic Please recognize this staff for the love they showed us. I was just admitted to this hospital for an infection on my foot that was driving my glucose up way over 500. I'm not happy about being in the hospital, but the staff has been entirely professional and very thorough. I feel like the staff genuinely cares about my welfare. Lisa, the RN on duty in the ER, was so nice. Now I'm up in a nice comfy private room and I feel relaxed. I would recommend this hospital to anyone.

I was at a Doctor’s appointment and started feeling very short of breath. They called for an ambulance and was taken to Christus Santa Rosa ER. They started working on me immediately ( I arrived just before 3pm). I cannot say enough about this ER from my nurse Mae, Dr. Dean and everyone else from the X-ray guy Manny, the transporter that took me for a CT scan and the CT tech. Dr. Dean really went above and beyond to make me feel better and Mae was so kind and caring. I was discharged before 8pm which my niece even commented about how fast that was. Again can’t express enough the professionalism of everyone. So thanks again to everyone.
