Our precious cat is getting bloodwork again. My doctor is semi retired so I saw Dr. Rippy today. She’s fabulous! I’m sticking with her going forward. And the vet tech, Mary is so awesome, too!

Everyone here is amazing. It can be busy but they are always friendly and efficient. Their interaction with the pets demonstrates their commitment to the animal’s health, comfort and well being. Kudos to a job that is always well done!

Dr. Rippy was thorough and patient while giving my cat his annual exam. She answered my questions and took adequate time to listen and advise. I was very impressed with my experience that day. Thank you!

Animal Medical Center has been in business for many years. Dr. Hickman is one of the most knowledgeable Vet I have known. He treated my male Peke who had injured himself somehow. I thought I was going to have to put him to sleep. Dr. Hickman checked him over and gave him medication that would help my dogs condition and it has. He is doing so much better. Dr. Hickman staff are professional, helpful and especially friendly. They make you feel like you have known them a long time. I would recommend Animal Medical Center for your pet and even exotics. My Bearded Dragon needed some help and, of course, Dr. Hickman took care of him.

My first visit to this place was wonderful! The appointment that was set was kept very close without much waiting. The waiting rooms were clean. The staff was so friendly to my dog and my baby. So happy I went here for a wellness checkup for my senior dog and dental cleaning! I also took my 2 year old Chihuahua for allergies and they were again so friendly. We got an appointment the next day.

We love Animal Medical Center. The staff is great. They take very good care of our dog when we board her. The boarding area was nice and clean.
The Vet do a great job of focusing on the pets health. They have been so nice to squeeze in our appointment with their schedule. They have grooming services as well.

Our dogs are older, and we just moved to McKinney. The transition has been smooth, and we like all of the doctors and staff. So far, we are happy with the level of professionalism and care.

I have been coming to AMCM for 3 years now. Dr Hickman is thorough and fast. I like that I am in and out for our appointment in less than 45 minutes. The staff are so nice and friendly. They all say hello to my dog, calling her by name, when we come inside. She loves it here as well. They saved me thousands of dollars by recommending treatment over surgery for a partially torn ACL. They don’t do unnecessary blood work or x rays. They ask you before they do any testing. It’s really a great place. I consider them “old school” vets as newer age vets really do seem to rely on testing and blood work way more than they should (it just drives up your bill). I originally came because the breeder of my exotic tortoise told me he trusts only Dr Hickman. So I went. Now all our pets, dogs, rabbits, and tortoises are all cared for under the same vet. They really are lovely here and treat you like family. If any of my clients (I’m a dog trainer) ask for a well priced vet I send them here. I can’t even count how many I’ve referred over to this office.

This vet is amazing I give it a full 5 stars. The staff is super kind freindly front desk. Doctor V is the very best and super knoweldgable! They got my pup in and seen has a new paitent very quickly and were so kind to him. And they are very decently priced!

Always helpful, professional, friendly, and excellent pet care. I always have a great experience here and my sweet dogs are very well cared for. I recommend them whenever I get asked if I know of a good vet. Very happy here, and so are out pooches. ;-)

There are so many wonderful things to say about this place! I have visited this Vet on both ends of the spectrum, brought my best friend a few years ago who had passed over night and brought my new best friend in for his first shots recently. Both times I felt welcome and taken care of! The doctor, every vet tech and the crew on the front desk love animals and made us feel right and home! My boy Natsu and I will be back soon! Puppy tax included!

The staff is absolutely a delight. We’ve been patients for about 3 years. Love both Vets & the Vet Tech’s are very caring.

We are big fans of this entire office. We came with our two Mini Schnauzers (Moxie and Maisel) when they turned one year old and have been so impressed everything. Customer service, pricing, bedside manner while in the exam rooms, education on what is TRULY best for our pups, and step by step what they do as they do it. They let us choose, without judgement, which vaccines and operations we want to move forward with. This clinic has been a dream so far and we are so thankful!

We couldn't have asked for a better experience! Our poor pup, Sheldon, had major teeth problems, dirty ears, and grown out nails when he came to us. We struggled to find a place that caters to small animals. (He is only 3lbs!) Then we found this place!
The staff, especially Ms. Wendy, took exceptional care of our guy! Everyone was super nice, the process was seamless and Sheldon is like a new boy after his day at the "spa"! He may be missing a few teeth now, but he has BIG smiles for everyone at the clinic. 😍😍

Doctors, staff, and Jennifer (Groomer) are always very friendly and take time to explain my questions or concerns.

Dr. Hickman and the whole team have always taken the BEST care of our Roscoe. They provide sound advice, really care about our family, and are very reasonably priced. We are patients for life!

Our 11 year old golden retriever, Alex, needed surgery. Dr. Hickman and staff did a wonderful job taking care of fixing the initial problem, as well as cleaning Alex's teeth and triming his nails. In and out on the same day. Alex was fully recovered by the next day. Thank you so much for taking great care of our baby.

Been coming here since we got our puppy Russell! He loves it here! He is always so well taken care of in all of his visits no matter if it's just a check in, a shot, or a surgery. Jewell is a great tech! We highly recommend coming here!

Jewell is one of the nicest technicians. We absolutely love her and Dr. Hickman. Everyone here is always so calm and kind. The place is always super clean. Definitely the best vet in McKinney!
