What a find in Dripping Springs! The staff are so helpful and they have a large selection of good quality yarns and other knitting supplies. Additionally, they offer knitting support and groups so be sure to stop by and get inspired!

I couldn't recommend The Sated Sheep more. They have a lovely collection of fibers, and when the yarn I ordered came and wasn’t quite right for the project I was working on, Allison was truly amazing to work with and helped me exchange for a different color. Honestly, I live in Manhattan, and it was easier receiving and exchanging yarn from Texas than running around my own city. The shipping was quick and I’m obsessed with the skeins I received. Thank you so much for all the help. I highly recommend ♥♥

Awesome. Very helpful and I got a free pattern with my purchase. All the yard is very nice quality. Very helpful in questions. I will come here again when I'm done with my knitting project.

Wonderful shop. They have all weights of yarn nicely organized. There are lots of different brands to squeeze. Wine, beer and tea are also sold within the store. Everyone was so friendly. Definitely a place to go when in the area.

I know all knitting/yarn stores are wonderful places to visit, but The Sated Sheep is special. It just feels so inviting. The yarn selection is beautiful and the owner is so gracious. She is more of a host! Thank you for a great experience. We'll be back.

I'm vacationing in the hill country and The Sated Sheep was one of my first stops. I was not disappointed. I am new to knitting, and she very patiently answered all my questions, even helped me choose yarn for my project. They have so many beautiful and unusual yarns. Even her lunch recommendation was incredible. I will definitely add this to all my vacations.

Due to the long trip down RR620 from Cedar Park, I usually only visit The Sated Sheep during yarn crawls, so am hoping for a yarn crawl this fall. the Sated Sheep is one of my favorite stops because they carry some distinct yarns and have friendly personnel. OK, I also admit to purchasing some delicious wines there, too. And I purchased one of my favorite project bags there.
There online store is more accessible to me most of the time. They are prompt and reliable.
I may actually make the trip down there soon, since I am fully vaccinated and ready to go fun places.

The Sated Sheep is such a lovely shop. It’s my happy place! Carrie and Allison taught me to knit with so much patience. I buy all of my wine there, they always have something special. I meet at the Sheep often with my friends to share drinks, knitting projects, and giggles, lots of giggles! 😂 I also drop in for little gifts and cards and knitting help! 💚💙🧡

I visit family nearby several times a year, and The Sated Sheep is a regular stop when I do. Fabulous selection of yarn!!! Allison has always been a wonderful help, is very knowledgeable about all her products and yarns, and always has a ready smile and hot cup of tea! The Sated Sheep is my happy place! The staff is very knowledgeable, but more importantly friendly. The minute you walk in you will be welcomed but never hounded. The yarns are beautiful and wonderful quality. There are classes offered and special events (like Trunk Shows). They offer some really neat unusual things like water or wine and organic chocolates. It is always more fun to knit or crochet with friends and everyone i have ever met there feels like a friend. Check it out and it may become your favorite LYS in the world too.

My wife and I found this place because of the yarn crawl and she’s since ordered yarn from them online several times. They are a small shop so orders are filled pretty much same day. We usually receive the items within a couple days and they are always exactly as expected. Love the shop, the selection, and the newsletter.

Love this shop. The lighting allows you to see the glorious colors of the lovely yarns. The organization by yarn weight makes it easy to find something specific for that project you want to start. Everybody here knows the stock and the craft. The available seating to sit, knit, sip, and chat makes it a community, not just a store.

The yarn weights and color options are endless, and all of the yarn is high quality, the brands well-researched. What a lovely shop! It's like a candy store of colored yarns! So many beautiful types of yarns to choose from! Don't know how to knit, or want to learn something new? They offer all kinds of classes and great instructors. Great ambience, and wine too! What could be better?

I have always wanted to learn how to knit. I learned about this place through a friend who said it’s a great place to hang out and learn how to knit or crochet. Boy was she right! I have learned so much in just a short amount of time through Carrie’s patient and informative detailed instructions. So far I have knitted a scarf and am currently working on a matching hat for the hubby. He is thrilled I finally found a hobby where I look forward to picking up the knitting needles anytime I can. I’ve enjoyed all the time I have spent in the shop as it’s a relaxing and great place to meet other people, also Allison has a killer wine list to boot! I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to learn a craft and meet new and kind people.

When in Austin I ALWAYS make a point to go to Sated Sheep at least once and usually more often as it is such a warm and welcoming place with yarns and accessories that are always well curated and beautiful! Truly a special place where wonderful memories have been made. Highly recommend it!!

I only recently discovered this shop, but I already love it! The atmosphere is very friendly and welcoming, Allison was super helpful with any question I managed to conjure, and the selection of tools and yarn is amazing. It’s definitely my go-to shop from now on.

Walking through the door we (Allyn and I) were warmly greeted by circle of knitters and shop keepers. We were given an extensive tour of yarns, etc. and offered expert help with purchases/patterns. On other occasions when i just wanted to browse on my own, that was graciously honored. Give yourself a treat and show up there or check out the website. Fine Find!!

This shop has a ton of indie dyers and makers represented. I always feel like there’s something new to find. The employees are friendly and helpful too. The store has huge windows which let in a lot of natural light so you can see the yarn’s true color well.
