Lakeway City Park

Update- 5-10-23

Man the lake is super low. Don’t plan to swim right now for sure. Once full it’s an amazing place. Still peaceful.

We accidentally found this place a few weekends ago and it was absolutely perfect. The water was great ,the area was super nice, the people were nice and it has good shade. Nice clear in deep water and really nice grassy area around the park. There is no camping but this is a great place to spend the day

It was a hidden treasure we discovered. Loved the neighborhood and the green space. It had just rained and it smelled amazing. Good places to hold group events, nice trails and those trails have a hose somewhere I used to clean my shoes. Good parking area and nice grounds to play any casual sports. There is a nice stretch of water and life vests that can be burrowed for free. The dog park is decent size too and the whole area is very clean and well maintained. It has disability access and overall amazing. I would love to go back there sometime. Quiet and private yet beautiful.

We hosted a 6th birthday party here last weekend (this does require a reservation). We really wanted a venue that was going to be fun for everyone, kids and grownups alike, and this was a great place for that. There’s ample parking for all 20 families that joined us, and there were shaded tables nearby for us to watch the kids play on the playground nearby. It was a big hit.

Great park for a variety of things from cookouts, kids activities and walking along the shoreline on the paved trail. Not a hiking park but there are plenty of options for that nearby. They also have a dog park, more suitable for medium to small dogs.

Great for swimming and love the cliffs. You will need some sunscreen no shade near the water but definitely worth checking out! Great for family!!!!

Cute neighborhood park with facilities, a barbecue area, hiking trails, lake access, and a dog park. Very clean and easy to get to. Highly recommend for an evening of hiking or exploring. Even had two Pokémon Go gyms if you’re into collecting Pokémon in Lakeway!

Love this park. Whether you want sun or shade, grass or rocky beach, trails or playground toys..it is all here! Bathrooms are clean. Not crowded at all in February, might see more people as it gets warmer.

This is a great park… I will update this review with pictures in the very near future. Please note that the sailmaster in Pickleball Court, the Silletti is no longer used for pickle ball but it’s rather a basketball court again at that location brand new Pickleball courts have been built here at the park.

Beautiful public park with excellent lake views. Picnic tables and playground areas. Good parking spots and nice trails.

It’s a wonderful park. It embodies a very natural and unassuming aesthetic. There’s a 35 minute loop all the way around and there are certain lookouts that have wonderful views.

DON'T go if you want to go on the water. NO water !! Drought is a major effect here !!

Found this place by chance. Really cool! Walking paths, bike paths, play grounds, dog park, beach area, life jackets for water activites. The bathrooms were clean. The park is pretty large, has a nice patio/deck area when your first come in near the bathrooms. We were really impressed. It felt like a hidden gem!

Lots of trails to run or walk. There's a dog park that we took the dogs to. Dog park is very clean. All throughout the trails there is places to water your dogs. The trails do go along the lake. It's a very well kept and clean park.

Great park with plenty of hiking trails and swimming (when the water's high enough).

Love this park. Weather you want to paddle board, swim, or cliff dive. This is the spot.

Great park serving the large population of the greater Lakeway area. Tons of fun stuff to do (playgrounds, picnics, hiking, runnings, playing football on the grass) even with the water so low. My boys love to come here and meet other kids on the lower playground, which is always being used by at least a few families.

I have been going to this park for years and it's great. There is a upper covered area with a playground, then the lower are with a basketball goal, playground, running trails and much more. There is also lake access and is easy to go paddle boarding from here
