LOVE!!! My hair stylist, Shaun, is the absolute BEST! I will never go to any another stylist. Not only did my hair look amazing after, but during when I had questions about products and styling, Shaun was so so helpful and informative. The front desk were very kind and helpful as well. Great experience!

Today was my second visit with Kyrie. She is so personable and friendly!! I really enjoy sitting in her chair! She is an amazing colorist and is very talented! The placement of my highlights has been perfect both times at the exact icy blonde tone I like! I can’t wait to see her again for my next visit!! :)

I came in with very high expectations because of my bad experiences with other hair salons. I trusted the reviews and boom..I was shocked. I had Brenda cut my hair. I couldn’t find any reviews of her on here or on Yelp so I was a bit nervous. And honestly, she’s underrated. I am so happy I came into this salon with all my trust on Brenda. I've been looking for a good hair stylist in my area for a while and finally found one! Tan was awesome! He was fun to talk to, did a great job with my hair, and gave me some good advice. I love my cut and will def come back to Tan for my next one.

I was blessed with a day of pampering at Brian Charles Hair Studio and I was blown away! The atmosphere is a perfect setting for a salon. Sloane did my color, and Ric did my cut. A young man, apprenticing, did my make-up (so sorry I forgot your name 😕). They all nailed it! I couldn't be happier. Everyone, from beginning to end was so warm and inviting. Truly, a fantastic experience. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

As for the salon: what a fun bright space to do self maintenance! The feel is easy and pro, and their product line is well curated, and the steps taken to ensure cleanliness made me feel safe.

As for Ric Salvadalena, hair master extraordinaire: I will wait any time for an appointment with him, Ric has extreme talent and vision, he is the only person I allow to touch my fine, thick hair, and if I could clone him I would, if he wouldn't mind.

I've been seeing Jennifer Johnson for a few years now and couldn't be happier. She always takes the time to get every hair perfect, and she is a master stylist whose goal is to ensure I love what I see in the mirror. You can't overstate the impact of a precision cut. One visit to any other salon and you understand the value. Plus it's a real treat to spend the hour with such a kind, enthusiastic, and fun professional like Jennifer. The whole salon is full of lovely people, and I will continue to call Brian Charles my Hair Studio well into the future!

In the 27 years I have lived in the Austin area I have gone to many hair salons - some good, and some not so good. I can tell you that Brian Charles is the best by far, of any salon I have gone to! The owners have created a salon that is both classy and inviting to their clients. No one walks into the front door without a warm and friendly greeting from those working at the front desk. Mandy is clearly an expert in the field of color, and each time I leave overly pleased due to her expert touch and eye. I have also had the pleasure of having my hair cut and styled by Gabby, Hajer, and Michelle; all of whom are skilled and creative in their work. All in all, this salon is the best, and I highly recommend it!!

Ric worked with me to help me understand my hair and he cut it flawlessly! Brian Charles Hair Studio is full of happy, professional people and I have found my new forever salon! You don't just get what you pay for, you get the hair experience you have always dreamed of!

I love Brian Charles Salon!!!! Everyone here is super friendly, and I love my time here getting my hair done. The stylists here are the best!! I have spent so many years trying to find someone I trust, and I've found them: Jess for hair color, and Gabby for haircuts.

I have gotten my hair done twice at this salon with Makenna. With each time I have been completely blown away by her professionalism, expertise, creativity, time management, and overall refreshingly upbeat demeanor. She has so much skill and knowledge and is always happy to share about the process. I definitely have made a mess of my hair from previous home experiments and am baffled at how much she always seems up to what feels like an impossible challenge- and succeeds beyond my expectations! Makenna is a true miracle worker and hair aficionado.

Your hair is an extension/expression of your personality and has such influence on your confidence. I can 100% say that Makenna's work has me feeling most like myself/a billion bucks. I will not trust anyone else with my hair and would be willing to drive the distance just to see her. She is the total package and would be a great asset to any salon.

The salon itself is lively, clean, and everyone here is quite warm and welcoming. There have been several moments where colleagues have stopped by to compliment on Makenna's work (and I often hear uplifting comments being passed between everyone in general) and I can tell that they have a strong, supportive family going on here.

This Salon may be new, but the stylists are not. Ric has cut my hair in the past and he's great. The reason I will drive out here is April Baker. I love April. She's the best waxing specialist I have found, and once I found her, I refuse to go to anyone else. She keeps me talking and distracted while she makes me a less ape-like woman. She remembers what I want so when I visit her, it's more like chatting with a friend than having a service provided. She is always very professional and if I'm having a stressful day at work, she helps me to unwind, while we chat about life.

I am excited that all my favorite people from Avant Gateway have moved to a better home. If you're tired of being over charged or treated badly, make the drive down 2222 to visit Ric or April. It only takes 20 minutes and it's such a pretty drive.

Frequent traveler and local Austenite, this is my new favorite place. The owner is also a stylist. They have separate colorists so you have to make two appointments. The stylists are pretty in demand so you will need to make an appointment far out. Kids cuts and adult cuts are the same price so just fair warning. There are lower priced stylists but they are by referral only. There are no walk-ins. Clean and super good stylists.

Kelly is an absolute rockstar! I’ve been to her a few times now and she has cut my hair exactly how I want it/even better! She’s super friendly and just a general joy to be around.

5 star Salon. Love this place. Both Hajer (hair cut) and Mandy (color) are experienced and exceed expectations. Always getting compliments on my style and highlights. The cost is worth every penny. Staff is always very professional, sweet and personable.

Highly recommend Kyrie Montez @ Brian Charles for color needs! I make the drive to Steiner Ranch because she's the best I've ever had when it comes to blending my mix of brown/some gray roots to beautiful blonde highlights and lowlights. She tones, moisturizes, and styles beautifully but some of her best skills IMO are listening to her clients and clarifying to understand. My first time seeing her exceeded my expectations, and she's nailed it every time since. Thanks Kyrie, for changing my hair game. I.LOVE.IT.
