Cairo 2 Go

I have never been anywhere like this place, but I am sure to come back! The food was quick and delicious (SO FLAVORFUL), the service was great (the manager or owner came up to ask how everything was) and the restaurant was clean and nicely decorated. My only complaint about the entire experience is that it was a little cold inside, but otherwise I'll definitely be back! I got the Beschamel mac & cheese, and let me tell you... it's heaven in a bowl. Highly recommended, and very worth the wait!

Been to this restuarant couple of times and tried almost all their main dishes. I really like the taste at this restaurant. They are very accommodating and very friendly.

This is one of my favorite places to eat now. I usually get the Koshary and some Falafel on the side. This food tastes amazing and is really a great value for the money. The staff here are extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about just how you should eat this great food. You just can't beat this place. I am so glad that they are here!

Food was VERY good. Fries are super crispy and tasty. Especially done Egyptian. Beef shawarma was really good. Definitely have to give this place a try and we will be back again.

Fast, Authentic, and Fresh! This was my first visit to this restaurant and I order the Chicken Shawarma Fatteh (pictured) and it was delicious! The rice looked like the same fried rice I'd get at a Mexican or Chinese restaurant, but tasted MUCH better! I also had a wonderful pudding dessert along with it that I ate before I could get a picture of.

Definitely will be coming here again!!

This is one of my favorite takeout spots. The food is always delicious and the service is always great. They are fast and the prices are very reasonable. Also, it doesn’t make me feel disgusting afterwards. What more can you ask for?!

The food is as I remember from my time in Egypt. Fantastic food fantastic service and very clean! A must go to!

I don't write many reviews, or gush about restaurants because frankly there aren't many exceptional places. Cairo 2 Go IS an exceptional place, though, so I hope you will read this and give them a visit.

First, you should note that we went to Cairo 2 Go at 7:30pm on a Sunday evening...oftentimes it would be a gamble to go to a restaurant at this hour on Sunday, however, I can't imagine getting better service than what we received. To me that really says something. The place is very clean from the dining room to the restroom. Always a good sign, everything looked and smelled fresh.

Second, we were greeted immediately by the friendly hostess at the counter, who was really great. We had viewed the menu online and told her it was our first visit. She was helpful in explaining a few things on the menu, and made an excellent recommendation of the mixed shawarma bowl, which my wife and I both ordered along with the falafel appetizer.

The hostess drew our attention to the Koshary menu item, explaining it was the national dish of Egypt and first-time customers are offered a complimentary sample. How very nice and welcoming this is! The sample, which was honestly a full serving, was fantastic! It came with two different dressings, a lemon vinaigrette and a spicy sambal-like hot sauce which were also delicious. It was my first taste of Egyptian food and it was very enjoyable and recognizable as comfort food. I will order this on my next visit.

Next, our entrees were brought out, beautifully prepared to the eye, and emitting fragrant, wonderful spices, saffron, onion and tomato. A nice touch is that the entrees were served in a microwavable plastic container with lid included so you can easily take any leftovers home. The marinated beef and chicken was tender and flavorful, the yellow rice was aromatic and perfectly prepared. The vegetables were crunchy and fresh. Just really a great dish, everything tasted fresh, exceptional. The fried falafel was crispy outside, aromatic, soft and hot on the inside and was delicious with the tahini it came with. Portion sizes were not skimpy and I felt we got excellent value for our money.

About halfway through our meal, a man I assume was the owner came out to the dining room to ask how our meal was, being our first visit. We appreciated the attention to detail and hospitality, thanking him for the great meal and complimentary Koshary. He thanked us for coming.

Now, the fact that a legit Egyptian casual restaurant exists in West Virginia is a marvel itself. You owe it to yourself to patronize this business and experience it for yourself. They are really fantastic! Can't wait for our next visit.

Very nice local place, they are relatively new but that being said they are absolutely worth the visit. I recommend the Chicken Shwarma Fattah Dish. Clean restaurant, friendly staff, killer food.

my dad and his wife came down to visit, and after ordering doordash from here a few times i highly suggested we all go there for lunch. I had never personally been in the store, so I didn't know what to expect. The atmosphere is so comfortable and the woman that took our order was absolutely phenomenal, I wish I got her name. My father is vegan and he was extremely happy to have options for him that were just as delicious as the non-vegan options. He also wasn't sure if he would like the tea, and the woman offered to make him tea on the house to try it, and she made it how she would drink it. THEN, she went a step further, and served it for all of us, kettle and all! I'm not a tea drinker, but it was delicious and it complemented the food so well. She was such a sweet person and left such an impression I HAD to do my first local review! Thank you so much for your lovely food and staff! Thank you again!

Delicious and authentic. I got the Kofta Kabob bowl and I highly recommend it. The staff is very friendly and helpful if you're new to this kinda stuff, so definitely give it a try and you won't be disappointed. Decent portions with good prices too.

LOVED the food, the fries were excellent. After asking my boyfriend numerous times we finally decided to come here! We made the right choice. We had good service and well made food. We will for sure be back. If you're anything like me and like to try different food then I recommend this place.

I absolutely love this place! The staff are great and the food is so, so yummy. I generally always get the chicken shawarma sandwich. I love it and the way they put pickles and fries in there making it different than other places.
The koshary is to die for. I'm seriously obsessed with it. Vegan, filling, and tasty! Falafel is perfect. I'm pretty sure everything has to be good.
Definitely stop in!

Had dinner here last night with my husband. The food was excellent. I had a small order of the khoshary and a large order of the tomeya garlic dip with pita. I came home with plenty leftover, generous portions. My husband ordered the Alexandria style liver sandwich with the Egyptian fries and ate every bit. Great experience for a modest price.

Extraordinary. I got the "street food" on Saturday and was blown away by the excellence of the flavors. These people know how to do seasonings, without making it hot or spicy. Also, few restaurants have much liver these days, but the liver here was excellent. This was a rare treat, and something new. Highly recommended.

Absolutely amazing customer service. It was mine and my boyfriends first time in and I haven’t even tried the food yet. I am giving 5 stars because as I am not familiar with this type of food or culture, I felt welcome coming in and had a lot of help picking something I’d like form the menu! If you’re wanting to try something out of your comfort zone, go here!!!

The woman that took my order understood that I have never tried Egyptian food before and she had no problem explaining the different dishes to me. She was very kind and helpful. The service was much faster than I expected, I paid for my food then went to the restroom to wash my hands and by the time I finished my food was done. The vegan dish the Koshary was out of this world it simply blew my mind and my expectations clean out of the water. Phenomenal food at a killer price. In fact it was so good after just three bites I absolutely had to call them and tell them how impressed I was. Being vegan can be expensive when going out to eat but the portions were amazing. I would recommend this place to anyone vegan or not💯💯

This place is wonderful!! The food is absolutely AMAZING. My husband and I were so glad we decided to try something new. There are lots of vegan options too which is great. The man who runs the place is so nice too! Great customer service.
