Absolutely love love love when my man comes back from Gents! David (the owner) takes great care of him and he always comes back refreshed -- not only looking but smelling amazing. I'll continue to send all the men in my life to Gents.

Gents is the best barber in Federal Way. I've been a customer for years, and they have always taken great care of me. Plus, my wife loves how my hair smells when I'm done! Thank you David and Madeline for a wonderful shop and top notch cut.

First time at Gents. Mya took her time, paid attention to detail and instructions. The result was easily the best hair cut I have received in 20+ years.

My wife has loved every haircut I get from Gents. That is a good thing because I love the outstanding service, scalp massage, hand shampoo and manly hair products. My hair is valuable and it becomes more valuable as time passes. Gents makes the most of what hair I still have and they always have professional advice as to the style that will look the best. I was impressed to see that they keep careful track of the styling for each individual so the cuts are consistent. Feeling the need to go more creative, I recently came close to coloring the sides of my hair with a splash of orange (true story). They gently talked me down and my wife is glad that they did. Don't tell Gents, but their finished cut is worth much more than the charge. Nobody can match their quality. Book ahead, they are very popular.

I was visiting family in the area and needed a haircut so I looked at online reviews and found Gents. Mya did a great job listening to what I wanted, and gave me a great haircut. She was nice, professional, and she took her time unlike other barbers I've found who rush through and don't listen. This was a positive experience and I will return here in the future if I need another haircut while visiting. I wish I had this place in my own neighborhood.

Had been a while since I had went there due to a sub par cut. I went there today and a lady I believe named Mia gave one of the best cuts I have ever had. With my wedding coming it up I'm couldn't be happier . She was very meticulous and did an exceptional job. Thank you

I always get a great haircut every time I go

David did a great job. He's tucked away in a northwest corner of the city and runs his own shop. A traditional barber if you will.

If you're tired of the chain barbershops with their mediocre hair cuts and asking for so much personal information at sign in just so they can spam your in in box and text message you to death, give David a try.

David has finally retired. However, the shop lives on in the capable hands of 2 ladies and still delivers the quality you expect from that shop.

Why this place and not one of the dominant hair butcher chains? Gents DOES NOT demand personal information in order to get a haircut, and DOES NOT then turn around and sell it to telemarketers or use it to spam your phone with unwanted ads.

Add in you're in a smaller, more relaxed and personable space free of walk in grifters and homeless psychos trying to steal things.

So, you want a quality haircut without all the hassle, go check this place out.

As most of the reviews below have already said, you will not be disappointed by a visit to Gents. I had a tough time finding a good reliable place to get my hair cut, that wasn't $60+ for a men's cut (which I find is a ridiculous price for what most men's cuts are). After I found this place, it is now my go-to. The price is very fair for the service and quality of the cut, and how courteous the owner and staff are. The only problem I have found is that they are becoming more and more popular, and at times it can be tough to get an appointment (especially near holidays and such). But you can't knock 'em because they're so great everyone wants an appointment!!

Outstanding! I chose Gents after reading the reviews on Google and Yelp. I have worn a Military haircut most of my life and have recently been trying a longer style. The problem is that I am very particular about my hair, and have had a very difficult time finding a barber that satisfied. Until now that is! This place is great! Nathan, asked me what look I was trying to achieve, made some suggestions, and when all was said and done, delivered an outstanding haircut! The hot towel, straight razor neck shave, and mustache trim was a nice touch as well. This is a great place! Very nice deviation from the traditional (and in my opinion very limited) "clipper cut" places. Gents has definitely earned my repeat business and I highly recommend them to anyone who wants a great experience!

My first time here and my experience was awesome he was very helpful very thoughtful giving me ideas n advice on how to take care of my natural nails. I strongly recommended i will definitely go back there. I appreciated honest because most people they just want your money.

Literally the best haircut I've ever had. These are true professionals who know hair and how to give you a cut that works for your hair, face and head. They give an abundance of time to make sure every detail is right. The scalp massage, hot towel and shampoo are terrific added bonuses. Highly, highly recommended!

Extremely awesome and attentive. The owner is a stand up guy. Really care about you as a customer and will go above and beyond for you. If you think the price is steep (30 for most hair cuts) I'm here to tell you, you get way more than what you pay for. Support local business! They actually care, take their craft seriously, and have a smile on their face unlike chain places like supercuts.

After years of going to Sport Clips, I have to say I will never go back to one. The staff here at Gents Fine Grooming are extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I could not believe how many people stopped by just to say hello to David or to their “shop dog”. It’s just like the barbershops out of the movies! It was an added bonus that everyone commented on my haircut the following day.

Been going here for several years now. They all do a great job though Madelyn normally does my cut. Worth the cost. It's appointment only, don't even try to drop in.
