THE go-to Asian market in Columbus for Japanese foods and supplies. There are three significant Asian markets in Columbus. The other two are more Chinese-oriented (and very good, at that). THIS is the Japanese-focused market, and outstanding for its range and quality. Whether you are looking for fresh sashimi-grade seafood, frozen Berkshire pork for hotpot, noodles, sauces, spices, kitchen tools, cutlery, dishes... the list just goes on and on, and it's all here. 6 stars.

Our family loves Tensuke Market and the entire Japanese marketplace in
The Kenny Center. Our son is majoring in astronomy with a minor in Japanese, so I like to buy him things fun the Japanese market. Within the past couple of years, they also added a Japanese learning center.

If you like nori (seaweed) as a snack. The Japanese market has an abundance of cboices. They also have a multitude of all kinds of meats and seafood choices and prepared dishes as well.

We're truly lucky to have the Japanese MarketPlace right here in Central Ohio!

Love this place! They have mostly what I need from ramen noodles to a selection of sushi.. very clean and organized.

The place for Japanese grocery and some sushi and other box food! Very clean shop! Very well maintained! Great employees and the fastest cashiers ever! I love this place

If you haven't been to any of these shops or restaurants, you're missing out.

I'm over the "cool" neighborhoods of Columbus and will stick to the areas like this with all the amazing Asian and international foods.

This is a fantastic place to hang out for awhile when the weather is nice. Great courtyard areas, lots of restaurants and a market to buy groceries. It's all worth seeing and we had a really good time. I recommend visiting and trying a little bit of everything!

It's a blessing to have a store like this in town. Good atmosphere and right now they limit to 28 people in the store which you can shop in a comfortable atmosphere. Also, they have a take-out sushi bar which is from the store next door (sushi ten) and they taste superb + good price too. I really want to move to Columbus.

Good local place for general Japanese products. I am grateful for such a place to exist in Columbus. The only place better than this place is Mitsuwa but that’s a few states away.

This was my third trip up. I absolutely love it. The Tensuke Express is always excellent and the other small shops always hqve such cute stuff to look at. And the bakery is awesome!

Lots of fresh vegetables, meat and seafood, a variety of frozen food, all the sauce and ingredients you'll ever need to make Japanese food. They also have some Japanese kitchen tools and small kitchen appliances like rice cooker etc. Enormous amount of sushi and sashimi take out and premade bento food boxes, great price and quality (usually sold out by end of day so go early for more choices). Belle's Japanese Bakery items also available here. There is a sushi place (Sushi Ten) and ramen restaurant (Tensuke Express) right next door, both great!

Excellent food! I ordered the eel mini bowl and the pork cutlet plate! All were delicious!

Love the new interior! Bright, clean, fresh look and food is as delicious as ever. Not too greasy or heavy, but still flavorful and satisfying. A top among asian restaurants in Columbus and will go back again and again!

Trips to Tensuke are always 5 stars! Great selection, amazing staff and quality Japanese items.

A hidden gem in the middle of Columbus. The tensuke market is affordable and because it's not too big, it's not overwhelming. I love that you can buy a bento box from the market and eat at the adjacent restaurant sushi ten.
There's a gift store and a bakery place too.

Its a great place for instant food as well as selling fresh fish and vegetables. The staff is polite. There is an overabundance of white nerd customers talking about D and D and anime which i honestly enjoyed. Very clean and nice.

There is nothing like the “real thing.” You’ll find no substitutes or low quality items. Everything is top quality. My late mother who came from Saitama, Japan loved this store. Like mother like daughter, I love this store, too.

Selection is great. Prices are amazing. Not only do I highly recommend but you may just run into me one day.

One of my favorite markets in all of Columbus. The staff members are genuinely friendly; the place is consistently spotless; I can always find any ingredients that I need. Love Tensuke.

Best Japanese market in Ohio. Besides fresh grocery, they sell tasty carry-out bento boxes for sushi, chirashi, rolls, donburi and Korean kimchi fried rice at reasonable price, and prepare party trays full of sushi and rolls. They also carry popular Japanese over-the-counter drugs such as Otha Isan, Cabbagin and Pabron S Cold.

If I honestly had the time i needed, I would a more detailed experience. First..this place had everything!! Bento lunches, bakery items, rice tops, curry, miso soups, and more. Customer service was great checking out. Will absolutely be returning.

Love the sushi and Octopus Poke bowl at this place. It always tastes amazing.
