I was pleasantly surprised to come across this cute little cafe. It is a women owned business-Kristen (one of the owners) was very nice and informative of her products. It reopened in Jan 2024. I stopped by for some pastries and was impressed with the selection of vegan and vegetarian options. I love the dainty decor and fancy tea sets. There is a HUGE selection of teas not seen anywhere else in the area. Every Thursday is half off mimosas all day! There is a special if you buy 3 or more pastries it’s only $10 and there’s also a loyalty rewards program. I love the fancy tea pots, in fact you have the option to have a pot brewed and served with those pots and tea set. I tried a few pastries and my favorite was the lavender croissant, it was so flaky and buttery, I tried their signature tea called the Queens Guard I found the flavor to be too strong and perfume like but the smell is so nice. All in all not a bad place to go for a girly girls day out! Happy International Women’s Day!!

Now no. 96 Cafe! It has a beautifully redone interior with notes of marble and pink that feel warm and inviting. When you walk in the door you will be greeted by the amazing smell of the variety of baked goods Kristen makes as well as her warm smile. There's a lovely menu for tea and coffee as well as adult beverages such as delicious hot spiced wine and mimosas. Kristen has been baking since 2008 and her passion and love for it you can really taste I swear! If you're looking for a spot for brunch or amazing baked goods look no further come in and say hello! The salads and sandwiches are so perfectly fresh and crispy and you'll be impressed with the croutons of course.

A Gem with Delicious Pastries

I recently visited this place and was thoroughly impressed! The cafe boasts a stunning design that is both eye-catching and inviting. From the moment I walked in, I was captivated by the pink soft chairs.
But the beauty doesn't stop there. No. 96 cafe also offers a delectable selection of baked goods. I tried the mixed berry pie, and it was absolutely divine. The pastry was flaky and buttery, and the filling was bursting with flavor.
In addition to the amazing design and food, the cafe's location is also perfect. It's situated in the middle of downtown Issaquah, making it a great place to relax and unwind or to catch up with friends.
Overall, I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delightful cafe experience. With its stunning design, delicious pastries, and prime location, it's a true gem!

Us two bearded mountain men got in touch with our sensitive side and enjoyed a delicious cardamom rose croissant and a cinnamon pastry, paired with coffee and cream in a sophisticated pink atmosphere. We give No. 96 Cafe a 96/96 and highly recommend making it part of your regular routine.

They don’t advertise that their items are vegan, so you have to ask! But they have tons of vegan pastries, the soups are always vegan, and they do vegan specials. And the place itself is adorable, with beautiful details, like vintage plates.

This place has a new owner and it's becoming more awesome. We tried a few things and loved them all. The Komorebi (what a pretty name) matcha latte is delicious with either oat or almond milk. It's not sweet at all and has an umami flavor as well. The almond croissant my aunt ordered is creamy without the greasy feeling. My matcha croissant is the best because it doesn't come with the sweet matcha flavored white chocolate that places like Nana's green tea sell. Instead it comes with rich matcha cream and thick matcha syrup which are beyond delicious. They're doing afternoon tea soon, starting in December. No more frozen yogurt but more goodies and beautiful decors are coming. They have an interesting floral and fragrant petal salt at the condiment table.

I am so grateful to have found No. 96! I have been searching high and low for THE BEST coffee shop in Issaquah and I have found it here. The second you walk in you can tell this business is different. The personalized home made touch is every where you look. Menu items are changed weekly, based on what fresh foods they can find available. The menus are handwritten, which is a small detail I really enjoyed. Most important the coffee was GOOD! Quality espresso, production not rushed, truly made with care - this is hard to find around here. Also, VEGAN PASTRIES! Unheard of from a shop not dedicated to the vegan diet. I tried the vanilla salted chocolate cake and it was incredible. They also listed a brown sugar cinnamon latte with oatmilk and I highly recommend it. The two people working (owners?) were incredibly kind and made me feel right at home. I am excited to finally have a weekend coffee tradition.

Delicious vegan options keep me coming back!!!

Love to see this week’s creativity with the menu using “TUNO”. A wonderful take on the traditional tuna salad sandwich.

The däre cheese they carry for their balsamic fig vegan grilled cheese has to be one of the best vegan cheeses I’ve ever tasted in my life! Can’t wait for my next trip out to Issaquah to see what new options they have on their rotating menu!

Recommend to all vegans near and far!

Happy that Front street finally has a tea and pastry place, especially they are opened after 6pm which is great! I went with my daughter after daycare and we had cookies, apricot pastry and tea. We also got the beautiful porcelain cups. The pastries were really good, not too sweet as usually in such places, and I loved it. They still got some repair works going on, I wish them good business and I definitely going to be back.

My new favorite shop!

I was in the mood for a little treat so I popped by and was not disappointed! I got a vanilla latte with oat milk (delicious) and a fabulous, flaky and perfect goat cheese pastry. It has been such a long time since I have had a pastry so flaky and perfectly crispy.

They have plenty of vegetarian options and milk substitutes. The atmosphere is great. I love the unique china and that I was given a real mug and plate to use instead of paper or plastic.

This is the perfect spot to catch up with friends, a little morning coffee date, or to simply get some work done by connecting to their WiFi.

I can’t wait to come back!

I had such a lovely experience in this shop this morning. I was doing the turkey trot downtown when my newborn son needed a bottle. I noticed 96 was open and stopped in to take care of him.

The owners could not have been more kind or accepting of my little one’s cries which added a…new ambiance to their previously quiet store. It was an absolute bummer I didn’t bring my wallet to the race as everything looked so delicious. I will absolutely be coming back.

Absolutely amazing baked goods and sandwiches. The menu regularly changes as they use only the best ingredients they can get fresh. The passion they put into their food is evident with your first bite.

The manager was actively involved with her team keeping everything clean, stocked, and fresh. It's hard to find froyo on the eastside but we found it here. Three of us had the fozen yogurt and I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of froyo flavors and how many topping options they had because it certainly didn't look like many toppings in the photos. The fruit options were fresh.
I also had a chai iced tea and it was done right (if you use Starbucks as a standard). Bottom line: if you think it costs more here don't worry, you're getting more with their quality! This store offers a ton of pastry, froyo & drink options in its small footprint. It's a bakery, froyo, & coffeehouse all in one. Highly recommend.

I cannot rave enough about this place!! Everything is handcrafted with love and intention. Handmade that is apparent in EVERYTHING they make. I had a chai tea that I was SO HAPPY to be offered in an herbal caffeine free option. No syrup. We are talking REAL tea. Highly recommend the Brie fig sandwich. Order any pastry and you will be happy for sure. The service was as amazing as the food and drinks. Can’t wait to go back!

Greatest vegan option in Issaquah. They use beyond meats, just egg, tofu, vegan cheeses and plant based milks for switching almost all their items in the menu. Some of them are fully vegan. And they have seasonal vegan drinks like hot choco and egg nog. Looking forward for more businesses like this in the near future for the locals.

My new favorite spot in Issaquah for coffee, tea, and dessert.

I tried the cardamom and rose water croissant, really good flavours.

I like the sleek floors and the elegant design of this space too.
