State Parks are such a great spot to visit in Fall! They won't have as many visitors so you will have the trails to yourself and have some beautiful trees for photos. I saw a cute couple taking photos with the colorful leaves as the background and I'm sure they came out great. This is a great park for summer time also with the swimming beach, and great for kids with the playground. The picnic tables makes it a good spot for a BBQ or picnic too.

Nice clean beach with a TON of space for sitting under trees, eating lunch, and or/swimming. There are a LOT of picnic tables too, but at the beach itself, you will want a tent/hat to create shade, and a chair to sit on for comfort. The temperature of the water was perfect (mid August). WATCH out on the ramp that leads into the water. It grows algae/moss and is EXTREMELY SLIPPERY. The sand is mostly super small pebbles on the beach, then the medium rocks along the water line, and then it turns in to tiny rocks/sand as you get deeper. Bring swimming shoes/water sandals for those with sensitive feet.

A gem of a park on the Eastside with a choice of two beaches—the smaller Tibbetts where kayakers often go and the larger and more modern Sunset where swimmers and kiters ply their craft as weather permits. Gets busy during summer with playgrounds and barbecue pits aplenty. Restrooms at Sunset are better. Decent place to stroll or hike (mostly flat land), walk the dog, perchance to glimpse a sunset before the gates close (around dusk). If there's a single reason to get a Discovery Pass, this is it. Wherever you go, whatever you do, watch out for goose droppings and pot holes.

If you want a romantic evening, here is the place: the boat launch at the Lake Sammamish State park in WA!
The sunsets are gorgeous from there. Highly recommended!

Great place for a walk. Outdoor kitchens to use, pavilions to reserve. Walked in the winter but it looks like great place for summer fun

My boys had a great time here. So much do to. Nice play ground, huge grassy field, lots of parking. Love how big the lake is. Nice and clean restrooms and very convenient since it’s by the lake.

Loved this! Lots of room, lots of picnic tables (all spaced out nicely). The lake water was awesome, nice and warm and clear. Will definitely be going again!!

I love this state park. The park is huge; there are 3 beaches, multiple play areas for kids, and also a cafe. We spent most of our day in the Tibbet’s beach and then went to the Sunset beach. We rented kayak; the rates were quite reasonable. There are a lot of picnic tables under the shades with options to grill. We had a very good time and strongly recommend the park.

Had a wonderful moment..such a relaxing place to come over, as it's huge good for a long walk and picnic.
Well, kayaking was fun!
Small beach kids will enjoy it and plenty of parking areas and restrooms.

This is an excellent park with lots of amenities.
Places to barbecue, picnic tables, some covered areas, playgrounds and ample parking.
A discover pass is required and can be purchased at the park itself in the various parking lots.
I'm not too sure when the sunset Cafe opens but I have not seen it open at all, I generally go there on weekends.

Nice big park with multiple beaches and trails. There was also a couple of playgrounds for the kids and picnic tables galore. It also has a boat launch and big parking lots. You do have to pay for parking or have a Discover pass to visit the park though.

Big playground for kids and lots of space for parties. The restroom and beach are clean. Lots of people but enough parking.

A beautiful waterside park with everything you could ask for: gorgeous views, beaches with volleyball nets, playgrounds, fields, spacious parking lots, and even clean bathrooms. It's a convenient spot to have a barbeque lunch as well. Plenty of picnic tables, benches, and grills are available for use. And be sure to check out Issaquah Paddle Sports to rent a paddle board, kayak, or pedal boat and explore Lake Sammamish. I would have loved to walk more of the trails, but that will have to wait until next time!
As this is a state park, a Discover Pass is required for parking. If you don't have an annual pass ($30), you can also purchase a one-day pass ($10). Another option is to take advantage of State Park Free Days.
Facilities are clean and seem well maintained.
Great grills and grassy areas - some group sites have covered areas some do not. As well, there seems to be more picnic tables on some sites than on others.
The pros are that The park is nice and there is ample parking. The beach part is a bit small, so on summer days, it is really crowded. Other than the beach, the rest of the park is a standard park.
Lots of parking and fairly accessible from most parts of the eastside.
It's a perfect place to hung out with friends. kids friendly, playground with many facilities. The lake is suitable for children to play with water, and the huge beach is also a good place for children to spend time. Adults can have a picnic with friends, barbecue or hot pot, or just sunbathe and enjoy the lake view.
There are great amenities, a really nice playground for the kids, lots of restrooms, a swimming area, too cold be be used now. We will back more often.

Nice hiking trails that are well maintained even in winters. Great conservation efforts by park authorities all around. Beach is beautiful on a sunny day with waterfront properties on the far end. Hikes are dreamy when the wilderness is covered in fog! Can't believe this is so accessible if you are living in Bellevue or nearby.

We love this park. Very clean park with play area for the kids. The only down side is you have to pay for the state park pass. Which makes sense its cost money to up keep the parks. There is also a beach where you can hang out and watch the seagulls and ducks.

I was a guest at a company venue. The park and its facilities were well maintained and adapted to this large company venue allowing for a safe flexibility to entertain the masses. Very impressed with parking as well!

Nice expansive park. Play area for the kids, bring you BBQ along on a sunny day and maybe your little boat things to float lazily on the lake waters.
